I am so amazed with the turn out of this extension installation. This Young lady had been suffering with hair loss from over processing her hair herself for over 20 years. She had a very bad traumatic experience at a salon almost 30 years ago and she would just never go back again. She researched me and she found me on Google and she took a chance with me. When she came in, she was very very timid and extremely concerned. I asked if I can see her hair and what the concerns were. She actually said “she does mine” but she knew she had to allow me to go in and look at what was going on with her hair. Once I did immediately I asked if she had seen a dermatologist and health & family history. Together we came up with a solution. Option one which was “Tape Extensions” was not going to work on her because her hair was too fine. Option two “a traditional sew in” was definitely not going to work on her because traditional sew in are a bit too bulky and I did not think that her hair could really sustain the weight of a traditional sew in. So I was very hesitant to even talk about the Microlinks because I was more concerned about her scalp being sensitive to head and shoulders.. so in my mind I’m thinking if she’s sensitive to head and shoulders then she may be extremely sensitive to these Wefts On the beeds that literally lays on her scalp. But what I did in the consultation was applied 3-1 inch wefts onto her hair & scalp & allowed her to wear them for a few days to make sure they did not irritate her scalp. She called me back the next day and said she was ready to get it done ASAP. So on Saturday at 4 o’clock she came in we did them and she was completely in shock over the results even before we cut and styled it. The color blended well & she responded well & the installation complimented her very well. She was not nervous at all. It took no more than an hour. I am very very pleased with the results but more than that I was extremely happy with being a part of her getting her self-esteem back, which was her main concern.
