Trigger warning - abusive relationship (physical abuse)
Previous chapter
The following day and a half we hung out together before most of my teammates had to go back to the States. In these moments I wished that I also played there. Not being able to see my family and friends on a frequent basis, takes its toll sometimes. But then again if I were to go back to the States, I would miss my Arsenal family.
"Don't overwork yourself, okay? And make sure you eat enough. And-"
"Call you from time to time and stay out of trouble. I know the drill Ali. You, Christen, Carli, Becky and pretty much the whole team, give me that speech all time." I smile at her.
"Sorry, just please call me if you need anything okay?" She pulled me in for a hug.
"I promise."
Ali gave me some space to say goodbye to the others when suddenly I got tackled in a hug by Sonnet, Lindsay and Rose.
"Are you 100 percent sure that we can't convince you to come back to the States with us?" Rose pouted at me.
"Yeah, like the Thorns could really use a player like you." Lindsay said.
"And I could really use a friend like you and you could stay with me the whole time." Sonnet said when Lindsay cleared her throat. "Uhm I mean us, you could stay with us the whole time." Sonnet corrected herself.
"Much better, stop stealing my best friend." Lindsay glared at the blonde.
"Hey! Excuse me, first of all she's my best friend and second, she is not playing for the Thorns, she'll be playing for the Spirit." She glared at the 2 Thorns players.
"Guys! I love you. I really do, but I'm not going to the States." I laughed at their bickering. " As much as I'm going to miss you guys, I'm going to stay here. I love it here and I love playing for Arsenal."
"Fine, but remember if we ever play Arsenal, we'll kick their ass."
"Sure, Linds. Whatever makes you sleep at night." I laughed at her. Lindsay and Rose went back to their luggage, leaving me with Sonnet, who pulled me into a hug again.
"Don't get into too much trouble without me." She mumbled into my neck.
"Never. And for the record, you are my best friend." I felt her smile. "And Kristie of course. Ooh and Leah and Jordan and-" She looked up at me with a glare.
"Fuck you."
"I'm kidding." I tightened my arms around her. "And you are mine." She said, making me smile.
"Message me when you're home?"
"You'll be on a plane by then."
"Still, I want to know you got home safe."
"You've grown soft Sonny." We pulled away from the hug. Sonnet walked up to her bags. "Do the same will ya?" I asked my best friend.
"Sure thing." She made her way to our teammates.
"Hey kid." Carli walked up to me, pulling me in for a hug. "Make me proud."
"Always."
"I know. Stay out of trouble alright." She said while walking away. I just laughed at her.
When all my teammates said their goodbyes to me and made their way past security, I went home.
When I arrived home I did as promised and texted my teammates that I got home safely.
"Lee, Meado, Daan! I'm home!" I threw my keys in our keybowl. I walked further into the deadly quiet house, which is very unusual for our household.
"They're not home." A familiar low voice said.
"Jacob." I was shocked. "What are you doing here?" Not gonna lie, he was the last person I expected to be here. He came out of the kitchen and made his way over to me with a stern look on his face.
"Where the fuck have you been?!" This made me so mad. He knew where I was. I told him many times about our national team camp. Hell, I even asked him to come to one of our games!
"Seriously?! You know we're I was. I told you multiple times! Hell, I even asked you to come to one of our games! So don't pretend that you didn't know where I was!" I spat back at him. Mistake numero uno.
Before I knew it, he was standing right in front of me and I felt his fist make contact with my stomach. I bent over trying to catch my breath.
"Don't you dare talk to me like that! I'll repeat myself and you will give me a proper answer. Where the hell have you been?"
"National camp." I barely got out.
"Stop lying to me!" He punched me yet again in my stomach. "Leah already told me that your camp ended last Friday."
"I'm not lying. Yes it ended Friday but my friends stayed here till today so I spended time with them. I swear." I pleaded with him but I already knew that nothing was going to change his mind. I could see it in his eyes. He was set on beating me up for whatever reason he could find.
"If you spended time with your teammates, then who is this guy you've been spotted with on Instagram?!" He shoved his phone in my face. Mistake number 2.
Pictures of Mason and I were all over the screen. There were pictures of us in the bar, in the pizza place, at the wedding. There was nothing wrong with the pictures. They were normal pictures of 2 people having a good time, but to him it was enough to make him angry.
"He is just a friend, Jacob. Nothing happened." I pleaded with him in hopes that somehow he would back off. I was trying to hold back my tears but in all honesty I was scared. I was desperate for him to lay off but I knew that wouldn't happen.
He grabbed both of my arms and pinned me against the wall. I flinched at the harsh contact with it. I could already feel a bruise forming on my back. The first punch I tried to block, just like the second and third, but each time my attempt got weaker and weaker until I just let go. I gave up.
I don't know how long it took until he decided to stop but by the time he was done, I knew that I had broken a few ribs again. Sadly it's not the first time so I perfectly knew how it felt.
When he was done, he took a step back. Without his support I slumped down against the wall. "Clean yourself up. Your bitchass friends will be back any minute."
I tried to take a deep breath and gathered all the strength I had left to get up. Once I did, he took a step forward so he was standing right in front of me.
"Just remember, you're mine." He whispered in my ear sending chills down my spine. Without another word I quickly made my way to the upstairs bathroom, locking the door and sliding down against it as I broke down. I couldn't keep it in any longer.
After a few minutes of allowing myself to be weak for a moment I found myself staring into the mirror. My hair was a mess, my eyes were puffy and I had a runny nose but other than that there was nothing to indicate what I was going through.
The first time it happened, he apologized a million times. Promising it would never happen again. Obviously it would happen again and each time I would believe him that it was the last. But it started to happen more frequently and after almost being caught several times, he started to avoid my face or visible places. Talk about getting smarter.
I lifted up my shirt to check the damage he had done in the mirror. The bruises were already there. I cleaned myself up a bit and prepared myself to go back down.
When I came down the stairs, I heard chatter from the kitchen.
"Hey you're back!" Daan ran up to me, tackling me in a hug. I flinched at the impact of it.
"Daan, don't break her!" The blonde attacker scolded her girlfriend. "Oops sorry." Daan sheepishly looked at me.
"It's okay Daan. I've missed you too."
That seemed to settle the minds of the couple but not necessarily Leah's.
"Are you sure you're okay?"
I saw Jacob giving me a stern look as a warning.
"Yeah don't worry about it. Just sore from the game." I smiled at her.
"Well I gotta go. I promised a friend I would help him with some things." Jacob grabbed his jacket and kissed me. "I see ya tomorrow at six, love. Wear something nice. I'm taking you out."
"Okay" was all I could say. I walked him to the door and he drove off.
Relief, that's what I felt. Relieved that he was gone. How did I let it get this far? In the beginning I convinced myself that I loved him and that somehow he loved me too. That this would all just go away. Eventually I lost hope and he convinced me that I was to blame. I'm the problem and I'm always going to be the problem.
Suddenly I was brought back to reality by a hand on my shoulder, making me jump. "Chill, it's just me." Beth chuckled. I realized that I had stood there for the last couple of minutes. "What's got you so lost in your mind?"
Ooh Beth you have no idea. Time to put my game face on. My friends can't find out under any circumstance.
"Nothing, just thinking about the fact that we kicked your asses last Friday."
I heard Daan cheer from the living room, making me laugh. Beth and I made our way to the other 2. "But to be fair, YOU kicked their asses." Daan smirked at me.
"It was a team effort."
"Typical for you to say." Daan laughed at me. "Just accept the compliment, Queen."
I just smiled at her. I noticed Leah looking at us from a distance. She had that look on her face that she uses when she is breaking her head over something. When she noticed me looking at her, she made her way to the couch.
"Everything okay?" I asked the blonde when she sat next to me.
"You're home, so Everything's fine." She smiled back. I snuggled closer to Leah when Daan started a movie.
Leah's POV:
Not long into the movie Ellie fell asleep. She looked so peaceful, unlike a few hours ago. The moment she walked down the stairs, I knew something was up. Although she kept on telling me everything's fine, I'm not convinced.
I've known Ellie for several years now. When I met her she was this driven young girl with a sparkle in her eyes. She was full of life. Ready to take on the world or to go on an adventure. Now she is far from the girl that I've met so many years ago. I'm convinced that that Jacob guy has something to do with it and I will figure out what.
After the second movie we all decided that it was best to go to bed, so I tried to wake up Ellie. I placed my hand on her side and gently shook her. To my surprise she jolted awake in a hiss, scaring the living shit out of me.
She instantly grabbed her side, letting out a groan. "Hey are you okay?" I asked the youngster. Beth and Daan, who had witnessed it all, rushed over to us worried.
"Leah, what did you do?!" Daan asked me full of concern. Beth reached over to Ellie's side, but the brunette brushed it off.
"It's fine, I'm fine. Don't worry."
"Fine? That was absolutely not fine. I didn't shake you that hard for you to be in so much pain. What's going on Ellie?"
"Nothing, I told you already. I cracked a few ribs during the game last Friday. Millie is pretty tough to battle with." She chuckled. "I'm going to bed. See you guys in the morning. Love you." And with that she made her way upstairs, leaving the three of us confused.
"Are we believing her?" Daan was the first to speak up.
"This is the second time in a few hours that she flinched because of those ribs. That is not normal is it?" Beth looked at the both of us.
No it is not normal. Like okay I understand that breaking ribs can be painful but I can't remember a moment during the game where it could have happened. Maybe something happened with the national team after the game. Maybe her and Emily Sonnet did something stupid again. It wouldn't be the first time but then again, why would she lie about that?
"Leah! Hey Leah!" Beth snapped her fingers in front of me.
"Uh, what?"
"What do you think?" Daan asked me.
"Honestly, I don't know." I told them truthfully.
"What are we going to do?" Beth looked at the both of us.
"Nothing. For now we just keep an eye on her and trust her that she's indeed fine. Goodnight." I said walking up the stairs. Something is up and I need to find out what it is. She was always there when I needed her. It's time for me to return the favor.

A/N: slight trigger warning of an abusive relationship.
Previous chapter
Luckily the walk back to the hotel was a short one. I was completely zoned out, I couldn't concentrate. The fight with Ali, still fresh in my mind. The hurt expression on her face broke my heart. I really screwed up big time.
Maybe Jacob was right. Maybe they're better off without me. I mean come on, I just hurted the person that has always had my back. I never had to ask, she just was there. Always.
"I screwed up" I broke the silence.
"Queenie, you both had a bit to drink, you both were tired from an exhausting day. Things like this happen from time to time. I bet that when the morning comes all will be forgiven." Lindsay tries to soothe my conscience.
It's not working though. "I need some air." I stood up and walked out of my room. My friends looked at me with pity. They knew that there was nothing they could say to ease my mind.
This is the point where the dark side of my mind takes over. It's the moment where I become a prisoner of my own mind. I made my way to the roof and sat down near the edge, mesmerized by the city lights. It's peaceful here.
I wish I could have said the same thing about my mind. Negative thoughts taking over. The fight with Ali, all the things Jacob has ever done or said to me. I can't shut it off.
He always tells me that I'm not worth his time. That he is the only one who loves me. That the only thing I'm good at is bringing people down. Everyday I try so hard to fight those thoughts, to not give in to them. But what if he's right? What if I am a burden to the people around me? What if I'm getting too tired of fighting?
I was spiraling in my mind until suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder, scaring the shit out of me.
"Hey, chill. It's just me." Kristie held up her hands in defence.
"Jeez, you scared the living crap out of me." I told her.
"Yeah, I noticed." She laughed. She took a step closer to me and took me in her arms. For a moment it was peaceful and quiet. Just like the others, the tall blonde midfielder knew that at this moment she couldn't push me. I had to be the first to start the conversation.
"I didn't know you were here in London." I told her almost in a whisper.
"Well, my sister and best friend had this friendly against England today and because that said best friend plays over there, I don't get to see her that much. Therefore I decided to hop on a plane and come to cheer them on. So you scoring that goal was all because of my cheering. You're welcome by the way." She grinned at me.
I just laughed at that comment. I'm really grateful that she's here. I don't get to see her all that much. I don't get to see most of my friends because I play over here in England and most of them are back in the States. I guess that's the hard part about playing here. Don't get me wrong I love playing at Arsenal but from time to time I miss my family and my American friends. Kristie being one of them.
"I really messed up today." I whispered on the verge of tears.
"Sam told me what happened. You made a mistake Ellie. It happens to the best of us. Don't beat yourself up for it. It's not worth it."
"You didn't see her face, Mewy. She looked so hurt and I did that. I caused that." I looked down at my hands. "I'm the reason she's upset."
"You know, I've known the both of you for quite some time now and I know that the bond the both of you have, is stronger than you think. I know you're scared that people will abandon you for no reason, but with us, with Ali, with me, you don't have to. Okay? I will never ever leave you. You're my best friend and I love you."
"I love you to."
"Now, here's what we're gonna do. You give her some space and go to sleep, like I don't know, NOW. Tomorrow morning you go and talk with Ali and we will figure out the rest together. Sounds good?"
And that was what it took to calm me down. That's what it took to at least slow it all down to a manageable peace. Kristie is one of the few that is able to do that. Maybe, just maybe, Jacob's wrong. As long as I have people in my life like Kristie and my national teammates, I'll be fine. I hope.
The next morning I was aimlessly walking around the hotel.
"Wow, don't you look cute? Did you get hit by a truck or something?"
I turned to the Squirrely defender and just showed her the finger.
"Okay⦠someone's in a bad mood." She chuckled.
"Kelley I swear I'm going to kick your ass if you don't shut up." I glared at her. Did I sleep like Kristie told me to? No, I did not. In my defense I tried so that counts right? Probably not. Kill me now.
"Relax Baby America, I come in peace and bearing gifts. I knew you were not going to sleep so I thought you could use this." Holding up a cup of steaming coffee.
"Ooh my god! I do, thanks." I tried to take the cup out of her hands but right before I could take it, she pulled away.
"And?" She shielded the coffee away from me.
"Uhm thanks... Kelley?" I looked at her confused.
"Try again."
"Thanks Squirrel?" I tried again.
"Nope"
"Worms?"
"Nope."
"Thanks Kell, you're amazing?"
"Getting closer, but still no."
"You're the best?"
"Andddd?" She smirked at me.
"Ooh my God Kelley, just tell me what you want to hear!" I groaned. I was so done with this and I just wanted my coffee.
"If I tell you, it won't mean anything." She pouted.
I sighed. "Thank you Kell, you're the best and I love you?"
"Now was that so hard?" She smirked. I scoffed.
She finally gave me my coffee and a kiss on my head. "How are you feeling? Are you okay?" She asked me worried. Here's the thing with Kelley and well Sonnet's the same. They're literal children and they will joke around with you but when you need them, they're always there for you. That's what I love about them.
"I'm f-"
"The truth please. Not your famous Meredith Grey line." She interrupted me while giving me a stern look. Why do they know me so well, Jeez. I hadn't even said anything.
"Okay, I'm not that fine. I didn't sleep well. I kept thinking about what I said to Ali. I shouldn't have said those things, I didn't mean any of it and now she must hate me. But everything will be fine. I will be fine." I rambled.
"I don't hate you."
I turned around and there stood the dark haired defender with a small smile on her face. "Not gonna lie, I was hurt, but I don't hate you. I could never hate you. I know you didn't mean what you said but you were right. I do treat you like a kid sometimes and that's not fair to you. It's just that you mean so much to me and you do feel like my daughter sometimes. I don't want anything to happen to you and when we couldn't find you yesterday, no scratch that, today" we all laughed. "I was worried but I shouldn't have reacted the way I did and therefore I'm sorry." She smiled at me.
I didn't say anything. Instead I just ran to her and jumped in her arms. "I'm so sorry." I sobbed out.
"I know." She tightened the hug. I buried my head in her shoulder.
"Aw, how cute. GROUP HUG!" Kelley yelled.
SMACK!
"AUWW!"
"That's what you get for ruining the moment" I heard Alex scold Kelley, making me laugh.
"Come on, let's get you some breakfast. You need to eat." Ali steered me towards the dining hall.
Once we arrived, I took my usual spot with the youngsters. The moment I sat down, Ali placed some food in front of me. I just looked at her.
"Don't even think about starting an argument. Eat. Now." She challenged me. Breakfast is not really my thing. I have nothing against it, it's just that if I can choose to sleep longer or train faster, either one's fine, then I'd choose that.
"Okay mom." I mumbled.
SMACK!
"Hey! What was that for?!" I started rubbing the place where she had hit my head just seconds ago.
"I'm not old enough to be your mother. I'm more like the very cool sister." She smiled proudly at me.
"More like the crazy drunk aunt." I mumbled making Lindsay and Sonnet snort.
Ali raised an eyebrow, challenging me to continue. I instantly threw my arms around her.
"Kidding, you are the cool big sister and I love you very dearly."
Out of nowhere, Kelley popped up.
"Ooh I love you too Queenie." She said joining our hug.
Both Ali and I looked at her confused. Lindsay captured the whole thing on her Instagram live making fans crack up by our interaction.

Back to Ellie's pov:
We didn't have to walk for long to find a pizza place. After we ordered, we again fell into easy conversation while eating our pizza. When we were done, we decided to walk around London for a bit till we passed a hotel. At the door was this sign saying "Congratulations Mr and Mrs John and Lindsay Parker"
"No!" He said, crossing his arms.
"I didn't even say anything!" I threw my hands in the air.
"You don't have to. Your eyes are telling me enough."
"Ooh come on. Live a little! It'll be fun!" I tried to convince him.
"Yeah that's exactly what people say before it goes completely sideways." He countered.
"We'll be fine. I promise. Come on, let's crash a wedding!" I grabbed his hand and dragged him inside.
Okay crashing a wedding is way more fun than I thought. After I convinced Mason to go we instantly went to the bar, getting us some drinks. While he ordered, I took a look at my surroundings. A habit I picked up from when I was younger.
We had a lot of fun, drinking, eating, and dancing around until some people walked up to us. They started a conversation and asked how we knew the newlyweds. I saw Mason struggle to come up with a lie so I decided to step up.
I put my arm around him and leaned into him. "Well my boyfriend here and John are both Chelsea fans. They once met at a game and have been friends ever since. They go to every Chelsea game they can with some of the boys from highschool." I lied to the man in front of me.
"You're a Chelsea fan too?! I will never understand why John is a fan! They suck." The man said.
"See I've been telling Mase over here the exact same thing. London is red!" I agree with him.
"Wait, you're an Arsenal fan?!" He grinned.
"Once a gunner, always a gunner! You're Michael right? You and John are college buddies?ā
"Yes I am and you are?" He held his hand out for me to shake.
"Eleanore." I shook his hand. "But you have to excuse us. We're gonna grab another drink and dance some more."
"Of course, it was nice meeting you both." The older man smiled at us and I dragged Mason to the bar again.
"Are you sure you've never met these people?" He looked at me shocked.
"Yeah, why?" I ordered 2 more beers for us and gave one to Mason.
"How did you know all of that stuff about him?!" He accepted the beer but still looked at me in complete shock.
"It's called being observant. Look, at the other side of the bar, where we first order our drinks, is a wall full of pictures and messages." I pointed out. "While you were ordering, I was looking at them. I saw a picture of the guy and the message Michael wrote to his college friend. In the picture the groom, John was wearing a Chelsea shirt, while Michael was wearing an Arsenal one. Beside that wall with pictures, there at the table with all the gifts is a Chelsea shirt which looks to be signed by all the players. And that Michael guy dropped his keys earlier and I saw his Arsenal keychain. I have the same one." I smiled proudly at him, showing my Arsenal keychain.
"Okay, I don't call that observant, I call that a stalker." He looked at me with a blank expression.
"Hey!" I jokingly pushed him, making him laugh.
"Okay no, that was really impressive. You got that all from just walking around here?"
"Uhm yeah, it's kind of weird but I like to be observant of my surroundings. I don't know how to explain it." I looked at him sheepishly.
After some more drinks, which we both definitely started to feel, and after we had joked around some more at the dance floor, an elderly couple walked up to us.
The older lady told us how cute we looked and that we were a beautiful couple. I could feel my cheeks starting to heat up. This time it was Mason who took a step closer to me to put his arm around my waist. He thanked the lady who then asked us how we knew the newlyweds.
Unlike earlier, Mason came up with a believable story of how me and the bride's sister were college friends. Eventually he excused the both of us and dragged us away again.
"Nicely done." I looked at him impressed.
"Learned from the best." He grinned at me.
"Hey! Excuse me, who are you two?" We both turned around and saw a confused looking bride walking up to the both of you.
"Time to go." Mason quickly told me and we both darted out of the room. Both of us, trying to grab one another to drag each other out the room.
We stumbled out the door to the lobby and ran out of the hotel down the street laughing. After running for a while, we stopped to catch our breath, still laughing uncontrollably.
We started making our way back to the bar, we're our adventure had started. During our walk, we were talking and joking around until Mason steered the conversation to a touchy subject.
"So you mentioned a boyfriend earlier, he's not going to kill me later on now is he?" He jokingly asked me.
For a moment I froze. He is not the one who's gonna get it. Me on the other hand, I'm going to be in a shitload of trouble. Mason must have caught my change in demeanor cause he was now completely focused on me. Okay Queen, time to put your game face on.
"No it's fine." Lie.
"He is not the jealous type." Another lie.
"Besides, he's too busy for me anyway so he won't mind." I smiled sadly at him.
"What do you mean?" He asked me with concern clearly written over his face.
"Well today was a big day for me. I asked him to show up for it but he couldn't make the time for it. But it's fine. I get it. He has things to do." I told him. He looked at me with sympathy in his eyes.
"Well for what it's worth, I had a good time. Who knew crashing a wedding was so much fun."
I chuckled and lightly punched his arm. We were almost at the bar again when I saw my distressed teammates.
"Ooh shit." I whispered.
"What? What's wrong?" Mason asked, confused, looking around.
"Run, hide, I don't care what you do but if you don't want to die, go. Now." I said in complete panic.
"Okay again, what? Why?" He looked at me confused.
"I may or may not unintentionally, ditched my friends, who may or may not be a little bit overprotective and seeing as I kind of forgot to tell them that I left to crash a wedding. I'm in a shitload of trouble, therefore you are in a shitload of trouble." Mason instantly quit his laughter.
"Ooh shit." He whispered.
"Ooh shit indeed." I sighed. "They're coming this way! Now go!" I panicked.
He was about to leave but before he did he handed me a piece of paper with a phone number. "Here. If you ever decide to crash a wedding again, call me." He smiled once more and left. I turned around, briefly thinking that maybe, just maybe they haven't seen me yet and I can sneak away unnoticed.
"Ooh my God, Eleanore Marie Queen! Where the fuck have you been?!" I heard Ali yell from a distance.
I guess not. Crap. Okay I have to come up with something quick otherwise she's going to kill me.
"Hey Aliiii!" I say in the sweetest voice that I can.
"Don't hey Ali me! We were worried sick! Even Kelley and Emily didn't know where you were!" She pulled me in a bone crushing hug.
"Ali, relax I was just out here in London." I lightly pushed her off. "It's not the first time I've been here."
She looked shocked that I pushed her off but recovered immediately. "It's 1 o'clock in the morning, Eleanore. It's dangerous walking around in the middle of the night all by yourself!"
More of my teammates started the crowd around us. They all had a look of relief on their faces.
"Oh my God, Ali!" I groaned. "Stop treating me like a kid. I'm not a kid anymore and you're not my mom!" I yelled at her.
Everyone gasped. It got insanely quiet. Shock written all over their faces except for Ali's. Hers just held a look of hurt. I don't know what came over me. Why would I say such a thing? Maybe it was the alcohol, I don't know.
"Ali, i-"
"No you're right. You're not a kid anymore and I'm not your mother." And with that she turned around and walked away. I stood there frozen. Completely defeated. Crap. I need to fix this. I need to fix this like yesterday.

"There she is! Eye! Superstar!" My teammates cheered when I walked in. I was met by hugs from my teammates and them congratulating me.
Carli walked up with the matchball. She pulled me in a hug. "I'm proud of you Queenie. You've come a long way from when you started on this team. And I'm sure that your journey is just beginning."
"To Qeeunie!" Ash held her water bottle in the air. "To Qeeunie!" Everyone followed, making me chuckle.
"You guys are crazy." I laughed. Carli handed me the matchball and I walked to my locker to put it away. Now it was time to party and let loose. I had some free days till I had to report back to Arsenal so I was gonna enjoy myself with my teammates. Today it was friday and most of them stayed till sunday evening.
Music started playing and with Kelley and Sonnet being, well Kelley and Sonnet, we all started dancing, celebrating our victory. When it comes to a party, Kelley and Sonnet are my partners in crime. Okay they are practically always my partners in crime. It even got so bad that the coaching staff tried to separate us so we don't get into too much trouble.
When we were ready, we got on the bus and went back to the hotel. Sonnet and I dropped our stuff off at our room and got ready to grab dinner with the team. Once everyone was down in the lobby, we made our way to a restaurant close by.
During dinner there was a lot of laughter and chatter. We made plans to go out after. So here we are, in Sonnet and I's room, getting ready to go out.
The youngsters were helping me to decide what to wear. We settled on a simple black dress, sneakers and a leather jacket. Once we were ready, we waited on the rest downstairs.
While we were walking to the bar, Becky and Alyssa came up to me. "Okay, I know that technically you're allowed to drink here, but please be careful and try not to get into too much trouble please."
Sonnet and Kelley must have heard what Alyssa said because suddenly they were next to me. Both putting an arm around my shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll look after her." Kelley smirked at them.
"Yeah why does that not ease my mind?" Becky deadpanned.
I just laughed. "Don't worry Broon, I will look after them." I smiled proudly at the two older players, but neither one of them seemed to be very impressed.
"O“Hara I swear to God if there is only one small baby hair misplaced on her adorable little head, I will end you." A very serious looking Ali Krieger and Christen Press walked up to us.
"And I will gladly help her." Christen backed Ali up. I swear you don't want them to be mad at you.
"Okay why is everyone thinking we're gonna get in trouble? And most importantly, why is everybody blaming me?!" Kelley threw her hand in the air in disbelief.
"Uhm Squirrel, our track record kinda speaks for itself." I whispered to her but clearly everyone heard.
"Ssssh, not helping mini." Kelley whispered back.
"Because Kelley, you 3 DO always get in trouble and YOU are the oldest, therefore YOU should be the responsible one." Christen glared at Kelley.
I just broke down laughing. Kelley being the responsible one? That's a good one. Although don't get me wrong because she can be if she wants to and when she needs to. Kelley is that type of friend that's always there to joke around with but when you need her, she will step up and be that friend you need.
"Okay okay, let's all calm down for a second." Tobin said, putting her hand on Chris' arm.
"Tobins right. Let the kid live a little. She'll be fine and besides the whole team is here. I doubt anything could go wrong." Ash assured both Ali and Chris.
When we arrived at the bar, we found ourselves a table, got some drinks and instantly went to the dance floor. I was ready to dance the night away when I saw a guy walk in. I guess he was around my age, brown hair, athletic build, good sense of style. Must admit he was hot. He was there with a friend and made his way to the bar.
"Quit staring, more drinking!" Rose cheered, dragging me to our table.
After some drinking and dancing and after some more drinking, I told everyone I was going to grab another drink. I asked if anyone wanted anything but it seemed that everyone was good.
I made my way over to the bar and ordered a beer. I was about to turn around with my beer in hand when I bumped into someone, completely spilling my drink all over me.
"Ooh my God, I'm so so sorry." A British voice apologized. The guy reached behind me for some napkins. He was so close now that I could smell his cologne. "Here, take these. Again I'm so sorry. I didn't see you. Well I did but I didn't think you were going to turn around. I-"
"Don't worry about it. It's fine." I chuckled while taking the napkins. "It's just a dress."
"But still, I'm sorry. At Least let me buy you another drink." He insisted.
"Hey, it's fine. You don't have to." I tried to reassure him but he didn't seem to listen.
"It's the least I could do. What would you like to drink?" He asked me. "A beer is fine'' I told him, concentrating on getting some of the sticky beer off me. Because I was so focused on that, I didn't catch him looking at me shocked.
"You want a beer?" I finally looked up at him confused. I laughed at his shocked impression. "Is something wrong with that?" I asked.
"No! No, not at all. It's just you don't seem like a beer kinda girl. Not-" He said, trying to explain himself.
I raised an eyebrow while looking at him amused. "Not that you look any type of way. I just mean that, you look like the type of girl who drinks those fruity drinks or wine. But again there is nothing wrong with drinking beer, you know. Uhm you know what I'm gonna shut up now." He looked embarrassed.
"Ooh no, don't mind me. Continue please. I like to hear what I look like and the fact that I'm making you nervous. Am I making you nervous..." I trailed off waiting for him to introduce himself.
"Mason, the name is Mason." He looked me right in my eyes. I have to admit that he had beautiful eyes.
"Well nice to meet you Mason. My name is Eleanore. If you're done rambling, I'd like that beer now" I smirked at him.
"Right." He walked up to the bar and ordered our beers.
"So Eleanore, what brings you here on this fine evening? He smirked at me. I chuckled. "That's the best you could do?" I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Well yes, but it's still a valid question. Based on your accent you're not from around here. Consider me intrigued." He laughed.
"Alright then. You're kinda right." I smiled. "I'm from LA, but I do live here though."
"Yeah I figured, you do have a small accent."
"What?! No I do not!" I looked at him weird. "Yeah, you do. Don't worry, it's kinda cute." He smirked at me.
"Kinda? Just kinda?" I scoffed. "I'm not kinda cute, I'm the cutest person on this whole damn planet" I joked.
"True, I just don't wanna scare you away already." We both started laughing. We just fell into a light conversation. It was so easy with him. It wasn't awkward or forced or complicated. It just came so naturally. There was something about him, but I couldn't put a finger on it just yet. Everything was going fine until Mason went to the toilet and some dude decided to have his chance.
The guy walked up to me. He was a couple of inches taller and roughly grabbed my wrist, turning me around. In the corner of my eye I saw Mason already making his way towards us.
"Hey beautiful, let's dance and maybe after we can get outta here and have some fun." He demanded.
I yanked my arm out of his grip and tried to put some distance between us. "I don't think so." I told him off, but he didn't seem to like my answer.
This time he even went a bit further and pushed me against the bar, pressing himself on me. "Come on sweetheart, I'll show you a real good time." He was so close to my face that I could smell the alcohol. He then grabbed my but.
"Okay, that's it!" I thought, getting furious. Just as Mason reached us but before he even could react, I pushed the guy off me. I stamped on his foot, making him bend over in pain and then kneed him in the face. He was now bending over, while holding his face.
I turned around and smiled at Mason, who looked at me in complete shock, grabbed my beer and walked past the dude. I leaned down to the dude's ear. "Don't grab women, sweetheart." And I walked away with Mason following me. At Least I tried to walk away.
Some of the dude's friends had obviously seen what happened and they weren't happy about it. One grabbed me by the arm again, while his other friend blocked our way.
"And where do you think you're going, you little bitch?" The one blocking our way asked.
"You're going to pay for what you did, slut." The other one, who had grabbed my arm said.
Okay, not gonna lie. Maybe I didn't really think this through when I knocked out the first one. But before any of them could do something, Mason pulled me behind him.
"Back off! Just walk away and leave her alone!" He said, pretty intimidating.
"Ooh look, how cute. Pretty boy is standing up for the slut." One of them said, making them both laugh.
Mason started laughing with the guys, making me extremely confused. But in the blink of an eye he turned dead serious and punched both guys, dropping them to the floor.
This caused a lot of commotion and in the corner of my eye, I saw some security guards walking up to our group. They asked both parties to get outside before it would really get out of hand.
Obviously I didn't have my jacket with me, so the moment I went outside I was freezing. Mason must have seen it because he offered me his jacket. I really wanted to be stubborn, but I was way too cold for that. He put his jacket over my shoulders and I instantly was engulfed by his cologne.
The security guards came up to the both of us and asked us to explain what had happened. After our explanation and some verifying from eyewitnesses, the other guys were thrown out of the bar.
"Thank you for what you did back there. I totally could have handled myself, but thanks." I genuinely smiled at him.
"I know. Don't take this the wrong way but I was shocked about the way you took out the first guy! That was so insane." He said acting like a fan girl.
I just laughed at him. "But I know, you definitely didn't need my help but I wanted to." He said, looking down at me. I felt my face heating up and needed to change the subject. Gosh Eleanore, get it together!
"Do you wanna get outta here? I'm hungry and I could really do with some pizza." I asked him. Mason agreed and we started our search for pizza.
Switch to Rose pov:
I was dancing with Mal, Abby, Linds, Sam and Sonnet when I noticed that Ellie hadn't returned yet. That's weird, the last time I saw her was already a while ago when she was gonna get a drink.
"Guys, have you seen Ellie?" I asked the others.
"She's probably with Kelley." Sonnet shrugs.
"Who's with me now?" Kelley appeared from out of nowhere.
"Wait, she isn't with you?!" This time Sonnet does look a little worried.
"Again, who's supposed to be with me?" Kelley asked, confused.
"Ellie. Have you seen her?" Abby explained.
"No, I thought she was with you?!"
"No she's not." I started looking around. Knowing Ellie, she wandered off somewhere. She easily gets distracted.
"I'm calling her." Lindsay took out her phone and Dailey her number. "Crap, straight to voice-mail."
"We need to find her before the others find out." Kelley looked around trying to spot a certain brunette.
"Let's go!"

With warm ups done and dusted and after Jill's speech, I found myself standing in the tunnel. Waiting to walk out I felt myself growing more nervous with each second that went by.
Christen walked up to me and pulled me in a hug. "No need to be nervous, superstar. You got this."
"I hope so." I mumbled, wrapping my arms tightly around her, finding comfort in her embrace. Christen always seemed to sense my mood. Whether I'm nervous, sad, happy, she always is able to call me out on it. How she does it? No clue.
When the ref gave the signal, she released me from the hug and took her place. Once we were on the field we did all the pre match stuff and got to our positions. I looked around the stadium to see if I could spot my boyfriend but to no avail. He's not here. Shocker. I should have expected it but right now that doesn't matter. Right now I have a game to play. A game I want to win.
So as Kelley would so nicely put it, let's fucking go!
Switch to Mason's pov
"Come on Mase, hurry up will ya?" Dec said while practically dragging me through the stadium. Currently we were at the Emirates Stadium for the game between the Lionesses and the USA.
We grabbed some drinks and went to find our seats, who happen to be very close to the field. The moment we sat down, the women walked out on the field. Declan talked away, but my eyes were glued to one particular girl.
"Yow Mase, you listening?" Declan nudged me bringing me back to reality.
"Uhm what?" I looked at him confused. He just laughed. "You okay there mate? Maybe you should wipe that drool off your face?"
Instinctively I reached up to my mouth, making Declan laugh even more. "Shut up!" I hit his shoulder. The girls did their pre match stuff and took their positions.
"Hey Dec, do you happen to know who number 7 of the States is?" I asked him, looking at the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
Declan looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "You're really telling me that you don't know who that is?"
"Yes I'm telling you that I don't know who that is. If I did, I wouldn't have asked you who it was, now would I?" I sassed back.
"Okay geez, no need to be snippy about it." He said while holding up his hands. "But seriously man, that's Eleanor Queen. She is the rising star of the team. Not just on their national team but also here in England."
"She plays here?!" I looked at him shocked. The whistle blew, indicating that the game had started. Declan was watching the game now. "Yeah, she was 12 when she joined the Arsenal Academy. 3 years later she made her Arsenal debut with the senior team. Been on it ever since."
"Impressive." I said, focusing on the game now, but really I was just watching that one girl. A certain brunette with the number 7, wearing a USA jersey. Let's see if she's more than just the looks.
Back to Ellie's pov
Our lineup for today was the usual. Alyssa in goal. Kelley, Becky, Abby and Ali in defense. Moe, me and Allie in midfield with Christen, Alex and Megan up top.
The first 20 or so minutes weren't really spectacular. Both teams were taking it easy to get a good feel with each other. I was getting enough of it to be honest. So I decided to have some fun with it.
In the 27th minute I received a cross from Kelley. Instantly I was surrounded by 3 England players, not giving me any space. I looked around to see what my options were, but I found none. Time to work my magic I guess.
I took a deep breath and dribbled my way around the 3 England players. It took me some afford but I managed to dribble all 3 of them. In the corner of my eye I saw Pressy running towards the goal. I crossed the ball all the way to the other side of the field, perfectly in Christen's path. She took the ball up the field but was forced to the side. I made my way to the box, staying back a little, knowing that her only option was to either bring the ball in the box or play it to me.
And I was right. When Christen neared the box, she saw me hanging back a bit and kicked the ball my way. I saw my chance and tried to get rid of my defender. When I dropped her, I moved towards the ball and didn't even bother to control it first. In one swift motion I took the ball in a volley and watched it go in the upper left corner of the goal.
Hitting my target, I lost balance and stumbled to the ground. It was truly magnificent to hear the crowd roar. I rolled on my back and pumped my fists in the air and screamed out of joy. Alex was the first to slide to my side, throwing herself on top of me. My other teammates soon followed.
Switch to Mason's pov:
To say I was shocked was an understatement. She just got the ball at the center of the field, dribbles past 3 players like it's nothin, gives the perfect cross and then finishes it with a beautiful volley.
"Did she just dribble..." I begin to say.
"Yes." Declan answers me before I can even finish.
"And then give the..." I looked at him in disbelief.
"Yup." He had a smug look on his face.
"And then, finishes..."
"With the perfect volley, yes, yes she did." He said clearly enjoying himself.
"Well shit, I hate to say this but damn you were right." She's unbelievable." I said focusing back on the game when it started again. Declan smirked at me.
Back to normal pov:
The first half finishes without anything major happening. Both teams created some chances but nothing came out of it.
"Yow superstar!" I turned around and saw Kelley walking up to me. She put her arm around my shoulders.
"Nice goal." She grinned at me.
"Well I wouldn't be able to score that nice goal without that perfect cross of yours." I said smiling back, leaning into her more.
"Credits all yours mini. You were absolutely brilliant." We walked into the locker room. Jill gave her half time speech giving us some things we have to improve for the next half.
After a little break we find ourselves back on the field, ready for the second half. With both England looking for the equalizer and us looking for a goal to expand our lead, the game quickly became very intense.
There were numerous chances on both sides but nothing really happened until the 67th minute. Beth Mead was sent running to the USA goal after a clever ball from Dali. With only the goalkeeper in her way she knew how to finish the nice attack putting the score to 1-1.
5 minutes later Alex got us back in the lead. I managed to steal the ball back and crossed it into the box. Alex finished it off with a beautiful header.
For the remaining 20 or so minutes, the score stayed the same. Both teams came close to scoring but there was always someone standing in the way.
The final whistle finally blew. We won. I threw my hands in the air looking to the sky. With a smile on my face, I closed my eyes, soaking in the moment. When suddenly someone put their arms around me.
"Told ya you didn't have to be nervous" I chuckled looking back at the forward. "Yes you did." I hugged Christen back.
"I'm proud of you Mini." Christen said to me.
"He didn't come." I told her, the hurt was clear in my voice.
"I know." She signed. "He is incredibly stupid for not showing up and supporting you. You my dear sweet Eleanore Marie Queen deserve so much more than that idiot. I hope you know that. Now I think there are some people who need some cheering up." She said looking at my club teammates.
I squeezed her one last time and started making my way towards the English girls. "You know I'm just glad that starting from Tuesday you're back on my team." Beth came up to me for a hug. I hugged her back.
"You had to be your genius self, you couldn't be less brilliant like I don't know, a normal person?" Jordan said right before she joined the hug.
"Sorry Jord." I laughed, releasing her and Beth from the hug. Right after their hug I instantly was engulfed in another set of arms. Her perfume unmistakably gave away her identity. Her hugs, her perfume, just her in general always made me feel safe and relaxed. It was my best friend, my sister from another mister, Leah Williamson.
"Even though we lost because of you, I'm really really proud of you." Leah whispered in my ear. "Thanks Lee." Holding her just a little bit tighter. "For everything."
We just stood there hugging each other enjoying the sweet moment until some of the other lionesses walked up to us. We engaged in some small talk until I decided to go back to my team and sign some stuff for the fans.
After a while I saw a young girl. She must have been around 11 or 12. She had a sign with her asking for a picture with me. I walked up to her.
"Hey there, I couldn't help but notice your sign. Seems you have put a lot of effort into it." I told her while approaching her. She shyly hid her face into her mother's side but I saw her nodding.
"Well I think it looks really nice. Shall we take a picture then?" I asked, looking at her. She looked back at me and nodded her head again. I told her to come down to the field which I helped her to.
"Thank you for the picture. It means a lot to her. You're her favorite player." Her mom tells me while taking the picture. "Really?" I looked at the little girl again.
"Yeah I wanna be like you when I grow up." My heart melted at the little girl's comment. "Who says you can't?"
"You are way too good. You're the best player in the world. And there's this boy in my class. His name is Cody. He says that girls shouldn't play soccer and he also says that I will never be as good as you." She says looking down.
I bent down to her height. "Okay first off Cody sounds like a jerk, don't tell anyone I said that, and he's completely wrong. Girls have just as much of a right to play soccer than boys do. And he has no say in whether or not you are good enough. Nobody has, not your parents, not your family, not you teachers, not even me and most certainly not Cody. So let him talk and prove him wrong. Work your but off every chance you get." She looked at me with a small smile on her face but I could see she was not entirely convinced.
"Here take this." I took off my shirt. "When I was your age I also went to a uswnt game. Carli gave me her shirt. She gave me the same advice as I gave you just a minute ago. Ever since then her shirt reminded me of the exact same dream you have. Maybe mine can do the same for you." I gave her my shirt.
The little girl looked up to me with the biggest smile on her face. "Really?"
"Really." I smiled back, putting my hand on her shoulder. "Hey I gotta go, how bout one last hug?" I asked her when I saw my teammates heading towards the tunnel.
The girl wrapped her arms around me and thanked me for the shirt. After the hug and the thank yous from her and her mom, I headed towards the tunnel. Christen walked up to me and gave me her jacket.
"Cover up those abs of yours before people start to drool even more over you." She put the jacket over my shoulders.
"Thanks Pressy, I'll take the compliment." I grinned at her.
"Shut up." She pushed me with a smile before pulling me into her.
I looked around the stadium one last time before entering the tunnel. Just taking it all in. I achieved my dream. Ever since I was a young girl I dreamed of being a professional soccer player playing for my country and a European club. Here I am 19 years old, playing for the national team and Arsenal with my best friends. Despite what people said, I did it.

Today was gameday and to say I'm excited and nervous is an understatement. To me playing England is always very special but at the same time very weird considering I know practically the whole team. Right now we're on the bus to the stadium. I'm listening to some music like I do most of the time when I'm prepping for a game, until I feel my phone buzzing.
Willy š¬š§š
Goodluck today, you're gonna need it š
Queenie š±š·š
Keep your luck Williamson, I'm gonna beat your ass but don't worry I'll be a good best friend and be your shoulder to cry on for when you lose. š
Willy š¬š§š
In your dreams Queenie
Willy š¬š§š
but all joking aside I've missed ya. I'm glad you're back.
Queenie š±š·š
Don't worry I'll be back to annoy your ass on Tuesday š you'll be begging me to leave again.
Queenie š±š·š
But I've missed you too. Good luck tonight š
Willy š¬š§š
Good luck to you too š
I smiled at my phone and put it on silent now. Lindsay looked at me, smiling softly. "What's that smile about?"
I take my airpods out and face my fellow midfielder. "Nothing, just Leah wishing me good luck." I say smiling at her.
"Leah, as in Leah Williamson your Arsenal teammate, Leah? Well that's nice of her. They are still treating you right over there right? Or do I need to kick some of their asses? I will kick their asses if you want me to. Just say the word and I will go over there and-" Linds rambles on.
I cut her off with a kiss on the cheek and rested my head on her shoulder. "Don't worry about me Linds, I'll be fine." I say, closing my eyes.
"I know," she signs. "It's just, you're like my baby sister." She says while looking at me, making me groan at the baby comment.
"I'm always going to be the baby of this team aren't I?" I whine making Lindsay chuckle.
"Yep." She says making the p pop. I resumed listening to my music and started to focus on the game. Everyone has their own game day routines. Some listen to music, some play a game to try to keep their mind off of it till they arrive at the stadium and some just stare out a window. Don't really see the fun in that. That would just make me spiral more to be honest. I'm probably in between listening to music or trying to keep my mind off the game depending on the game itself.
It's not long before we arrive at the stadium. We gather our stuff, get off the bus and head towards the locker rooms. Once we arrived there we put everything away so we could go check out the field.
"Kid you coming?" I was rummaging through my locker when I heard Becky behind me. "Yup, just let me put away my airpods." I continued putting everything away, trying to organize my locker. Look at me being all organized and shit.
After a couple seconds I was done. I saw that Becky was still waiting for me. "All done, let's go." I said turning around to walk beside her.
She threw her arm around me and we walked to the field. The moment I walked out, I felt a body collide with mine. Becky took a step back. I caught the person just in time before whoever jumped on me wouldn't fall down. Seconds later someone else jumped on my back.
"I guess you guys have missed me." a smug smile forming on my face.
"Wipe that smirk off your face Queenie, we just missed annoying you. That's it." A thick British accent was heard.
"Waw thanks Jord. I feel so loved right now." I pout, letting go of the 25 year old. "Don't worry love, we do love you." The other one on my back says.
"I love you too Meado but right now you're choking me so get off." I told Beth while shrugging her off.
"Please don't kill her, Meado. Otherwise me and your girlfriend have to pay more rent than we already do. You would think being a professional athlete would pay more." Leah said, walking up to us.
I dramatically grabbed my heart. "Is that all I mean to you? Someone who helps you to pay rent? And here I thought we were sisters." I said.
"You're a dork, you know that." Leah chuckled and embraced me in a hug. "But you are my sister." She whispered in my ear, making me smile.
"Till the end of the line? I looked at her.
She just smiled. "Till the end of the line. Always." She held out her pinky.
I grabbed hers with mine. "Always."
I own Leah everything. I'm here because of her. When I got invited to join the Arsenal Academy at the age of 12, you could guess that my parents weren't too keen on letting their little girl uproot her whole young life to the other side of the world. Eventually I convinced them to at least go check it out. Long story short, during our visit we met Leah and her family, they became family friends and Leah became like a sister. They told my parents that I could live with them and well the rest is history.
"So you ready to get your buts kicked tonight?" Leah asked, releasing me from the hug.
"HA keep dreaming guys. If anything we'll kick your buts. I don't know if you guys remember but we're still the world champions." I smiled at them.
"Not for long you aren't. We're ready to dethrone you!" Jord said. "Not too late to still jump ship and join us." She looked at me with a smirk plastered on her face.
I put my hand on her shoulder. "Nice, a fourth star on your shirt. Ooh no wait, that's us." I smirked. Leah and Beth bursting out laughing. "Not a chance Jord. I'll stick with my team"
"Better luck next time, Jord." Beth laughed at the shorter woman.
"At Least I tried." Jord said while Leah was shaking her head. "Yes you did love." Leah put her arm around Jordan's waist and pulled her in a side hug.
"Yo guys let's go!" I heard one of their teammates yell. "Looks like we got to go, Queenie. Goodluck kid." Jordan pulled me into a hug, the other two following her example.
Once they walked away, I went in search of my teammates who were scattered around the field. I saw Ali standing by the goal with Ash, Alex and a few others so I decided to bother her for a bit. The moment she saw me walking up to her, she instantly opened her arms. Without hesitation I walked into them, she immediately wrapped her arms around me.
"You okay?" She kissed the top of my head. I didn't say anything, I just hummed in response, melting into her embrace, closing my eyes.
"Is your family flying in to see the game?" She asked me. "No, I told them not to. But they are coming later on in the season for some of the Arsenal games."
"Is he coming?" You could clearly hear the annoyance in her voice. My body tensed up at the mention of him. Ali must have felt it because she tightened her hug. "I don't really know. He said he would so I hope he comes. It would mean a lot."
"Ellie, he is your boyfriend. The least he could do is show up. Definitely now when we're playing so close to his home. What is his excuse gonna be this time?" She expectantly looks at me.
"He will be here and if he doesn't he probably has a good reason for it." I stated firmly. Ali doesn't respond and just puts her head against mine seeing as she is slightly shorter than me.
"He will have a reason." Pinoe said butting in. "But I'm not sure whether it will be a good one." She looked at me with a look of disgust on her face. If you haven't caught on by now, we're talking about my boyfriend, Jacob. The boyfriend who clearly isn't a fan favorite amongst the team.
I met him 2 years ago at Arsenal when he signed a contract there. He was 18 and I was 17. We hung out a couple times and became good friends. Are hangouts turned into dates and a couple months later I fell madly in love with him. My family and friends, not so much.
In the beginning he was a true gentleman, the sweetest guy I've ever met. He would plan romantic dates, would buy me flowers for no reason. He would leave me little notes wishing me a good day or telling me I was beautiful.
All that changed drastically a couple months into our relationship. He didn't take me on those romantic dates anymore, he stopped leaving notes or buying flowers. At times he can get really possessive and jealous. Picking fights for no reason and those fights turn very heated very quickly. I've learned how to avoid those situations by just doing what he says but even then it is nearly impossible to please him.
To the outside world we pretend to be this perfect couple but once inside, we most definitely are not, but I love him and I know he loves me too. At the end of the day he is the only one who will love me. At Least that's what he says. He says that my friends don't really like me. They just spend time with me because they have to. In the beginning I didn't believe him, but now I start to wonder. What if he is right?
Obviously we got really good at hiding it all but my friends are starting to pick up on it. Some bruises I can't explain or texts they see on my phone or just the screaming and fighting in general. That's why they don't like him and they're starting to show it more and more.
I buried myself more in Ali's embrace, showing that I was done with the conversation. Alex must have sensed it. "Look at you two being all cute and shit." She took a picture of Ali and me. I didn't have to look to know Ali was smiling.
After we stayed out on the field for a couple more minutes, it was time to head back inside and to get ourselves ready for warm ups.

Summery: Eleanore Queen is the upcoming rising star for both her club and national team. Recruted by the Arsenal Academy at an age of 12, she made her debut for the senior team just a few years later at 15 together with her best friend Leah Williamson.
Outstanding performances earned her her first call up for the national team right before the Olympics but was left off the roster because she was deemed to young. This time going in to the World Cup in France Jill isn't going to make the same mistake.
While she tries to manage her life as a professional football player, she also has to deal with all the troubles in her day to day life that come with being a 19 year old.
How will she handle the pressure with the upcoming World Cup? How will she handle the heartbreak and suffering that comes with opening up? When that one true love comes around will she be brave enough to open up again?
Read the story of The Rising Star and follow along on Eleanore's journey. It won't start out as your typical love story but more as the story about her life with multiple love interests and heartbreak but eventually she will find the one she was looking for all along. I hope you all stick around long enough to find out. of there is anything you like to see or anything let me know.
Little side note, It takes awhile before Alexia enters the story but don't worry she will and once she does, she will never leave.
Enjoy!
A/N: I started writing this story a long time ago, as a way to escape. Back then I was technically still straight, dating a guy and very unhappy in my life. In that period I fell in love with my childhood passion again, football and this story is basically that. Finding my way in the WOSO world and more importantly myself and you will see just that.
With autism you couldnāt write as well as āyouā do⦠itās clearly Ai, you canāt be that intelligent enough to write as well as the stories you post are
What the actual fuck? Autism isn't linked to intelligence
Get educated before you run your mouth saying i'm stupid purely because I'm Autistic.
I'm not getting into the personal details about my Autism diagnosis because quite frankly it's no one's business and is not relevant to who I am on this app.
But this Ai conversation is getting boring and insulting.
if someone wants to use Ai to write fan fiction thats there prerogative, if people want to enjoy that, that's also there prerogative. At this point I feel the accusations and conversations around its use is more damaging than its actual use because all it's doing is having the people who don't use it stop writing it and the one thing you seem to not like will be the only thing available to you.
This community needs to do better because shit like this is the reason people aren't apart of it anymore
Iām sorry but what the fuck? People need to shut up. As a teacher and someone with 2 cousins with autism, I find this highly offensive. Please educate yourself before you go on about matters you clearly donāt know a lot about. šš¼
With that said, the ai matter needs to stop. Whether or not a write decides to use it, itās their choice. Just like itās the readers choice whether or not they want to read something. So if it bothers you so much then just donāt read it and move on.
It. Is. That. Simple!
If you have nothing kind to say, than just keep your mouth shutā¦
Purple, I love your stories. They make me smile every time when I read them. Youāre doing amazing.

Tell me about it. Few days ago I was on holiday and kissed my girlfriend. A guy called me sick. When I called him out for it, the girl he was with had to translate for him and he got scared and shy š
Why did Sam kerr get the womens player of the year award and Rachel daly came second? Rach's performance has been so much better than Sam's. It doesn't make sense to me
because sam is overrated š¤·š»āāļø
