Disabled community I'm going to hold your hand/fidget/mobility aid when I say this.

Neurodivergent people can be ableist.

People with physical disabilities can be ableist.

People with mental/intellectual disabilities can be ableist.

People with lower support needs can be ableist.

People with higher support needs can be ableist.

People with chronic illnesses can be ableist.

Disabled people can be ableist.

Because why did I just see a chronically ill content creator call someone out for saying "How are you disabled and have a boyfriend?" And the person responded with "I have level 1 autism and adhd, disabled people can't form lasting relationships." What??

I've seen too many people in this community think they can get away with being hurtful by going "Erm, actually I'm disabled too."

Shout out to my deaf ASL teacher who almost made me fail the class because the way I told stories and talked was “too autistic” for her and she found it annoying and only changed my grade to passing after I had to go to administration and explain that it was the 4th time it had happened in the past year (12th time overall). Screw you Ms D, just because you know the language doesn’t mean you are fit to be a teacher
