“Just hang tight,” He assured the little droid, putting a comforting hand on his dome. “As soon as they’ve got him in working order again, we’ll go see him.” Luke could understand Artoo’s concern, but there wasn’t much else they could do right now. The mechanics would get Threepio back to working order– and turned the right direction– and Luke would make sure he got rewarded for his treacherous ordeal with an oil bath. He’d done good work on Bespin, he just got jumped in the process.
“Beats hanging out in a crummy old swamp, huh?” Luke teased, gently. If nothing else, Artoo would have all kinds of adventures to tell Threepio about Dagobah once he was back on on his feet.
“I’d rather be in the repair bay than here,” he complained in a series of bleeps and bloops. Dagobah was not the type of environment he was made for. He was going to rust if he spent much more time out in the marshes of this Force forsaken planet.
R2 turned his dome, sole eye-sensor peered at Luke. He wished he had limbs; it would certainly give him more autonomy in situations like this.
“This place is boring!”
