Formal introductions are in order.

I am Venera, although not on paper. I am a lover of the stars, descended from lovers of stars, descended of men who sent things into the stars, so that we may one day join them.

You may ask, "if your main source of imagery is NASA, why do you name yourself after a Russian spacecraft?" My answer to that is, the Venera missions kicked ass doing what they needed to do. They truly went where no one may follow, and they rest eternally atop Venus herself, having earned their place among the stars.

My posts are mostly scheduled. Submissions are open, and may be posted depending on availability of sources. Posts can be rewritten with credit if one is unable to hyperlink a source.

I hope you will join me in my love for the stars, no matter where those stars may take us.
