5 Reasons I think adoption- fostering/Isaiah fits them perfectly (and why I think they could still write it for her to get pregnant).
- Kelly and Stellas backstory being the biggest. We know that Kelly had a rough go with Benny. The man definitely has some daddy issues. Stella has a bunch of childhood issues on top of losing her parents young, meeting grant young, and having her aunt Laverne with her postpartum issues. That's actually enough to make someone not want to be a parent at all and even more understandable with the postpartum experience that she witnessed not being good that she not want to risk going through that but them still wanting to help kids in similar situations that they were
-I think that could lead ultimately to adoption because ultimately not all situations do get better. If written correctly I think an adoption could be a great way for them to expand their family while actively deciding post miscarriage what they want their family to look like because I'm sure going through something like that probably adds hesitation especially for Stella but in the same way a well written foster could do the same.
- I think someone like Isaiah is perfect for them IF they do wind up adopting because it's still a kid but it's not a young kid. If they are to see still get pregnant it won't be them having to juggle two toddlers it will instead be someone that can help them with it.
- I've not seen this mentioned and this is specifically an Isaiah thing HOWEVER I love when they decided to do this story they chose a person of color especially with Stella and the representation it gives on interracial couples which is not something that I think is showcased enough on television in general (yes I know that if and when they have a baby it'll be interracial I'm a lot of things stupid isn't one)
- I've seen a lot of fans acting like if they do choose to adopt then the road for their family is done. You do realize that people adopt or even just foster while still having biological children ALL THE TIME even just look at the Cruz family from the show. An adoption will not be the final step in their family necessarily
When this fostering started I was ok with this, I talked in twitter once, I was pretty sure Isaiah mom would die, and it's ok, they will adopt him and that's the kind of diferente family Andrea talked in some interview.
But we saw him desesperated to people take care of his mom, Stella take everything behind to leave him to Cleveland for her have the right treatment. He accepted the fate leave Chicago and stay with Lydia because it's more close to his mom. And now he don't want this?? Don't make sense, if the idea was they adopt him, do this in the beginning when all the fostering happening, not now. I pretty sure Isaiah don't see them as his parents, but a couple of friends who was with him in his worst moment.
I think it's a thing they need to stop and talk, he can visit them periodically, but he still have a mom, it's not because she say she can't take care of him anymore it's a motive from him "abandoned " everything and decide he wants live with them. This thing need to be fixed.
Sorry, I really like the actor, he is amazing, but I really can accept this in the way this happen now.
I still think there is more to this story that I hope is properly written because I agree. I can't quite figure out how we got from where he started to where he is now with his mom besides maybe since her brain injury she's been a 360 of who she was (captain obvious) but not been near as good to him. We also don't really know enough about the girl that came to get him to really know if maybe that didn't go as smoothly either. Lots of things need to be explained for sure. I think he does view them as parents though but also people he can turn to as a friend when needed

They don’t have to stop listening to fans because they don’t do it already. Yes, they gave us pregnancy and the very next scene right after the reveal they gave us a miscarriage and you are surprised people were fuming? Why would be happy about that?
I love this show, I’ve been watching it for 14 years and last season was just awful. Poor writing, bad choices with actors missing the episodes. So many stupid decisions (like saying that truck went for wildfire training when they don’t need it and CFD has budget cuts…). So yeah, if they don’t make a better season I will be very vocal about it 🤷🏻♀️
You're not very wrong tbh. I'm not surprised people were mad heck I was even mad but I'm not still complaining a year later. The whole season has given us thing after thing to complain about so why are we honing in on that one thing? We could be here all day complaining about a multitude of things they've sucked at multiple things being things you just listed

I am still against fostering / adoption storyline because we have seen it so many times before on a show and I have enough of repeating the same storylines over and over again. Stellaride deserve something new. Stella deserves to be a POC female firefighter trying to balance work and pregnancy. Thi is new, interesting and full of potential. NOT another couple adopting or fostering a kid. It is in character for them and I know I wouldn’t mind it if I haven’t seen it with brett, Cruz, Gabby, not to mention med and pd. It’s great to adopt a kid, but what are the chances that so many people in the same workplace decide to do that?
That’s why I don’t want them to foster Isaiah (tbh they can’t adopt him until his mother gives up her rights and no matter what she says, I think she could agree on him being in foster family than to completely give up her rights)
While I understand and hear what you're saying and the ultimate hope is that she will still do all those things you do realize them possibly fostering or adopting is not the end all to if she will get pregnant or not. At some point the show will quit listening to fans because there is no win for them. Y'all went off yelling about wanting them to be parents went off the rails when they mentioned adopting, she got pregnant and miscarried and y'all haven't been happy since, Andrea was wanted to lose her job and now she has y'all are still complaining about the episodes.. it's not like we thought she was getting better, and no matter who it is (this one is a little valid because of how they get written in) y'all are always on here for days complaining
I've given it all a few days of watching opinions come through Instagram, TikTok, and on here and just want to say a few things.
1. Some of y'all are way to angry at a TV SHOW. We understand Andrea sucks and has completely mishandled the storyline but I don't think A WHOLE CALENDAR YEAR LATER every day I should open up an app and see "just a reminder this should be Stellas first mothers day" "this should be stellaride" on every OC pregnant mom or couple plus many other things y'all choose to come up with. I want to just remind y'all that this is just a TV show and while I would love to see them be parents just as much as you the uproar still from it is uncalled for.
2. Why are so many of y'all steadily turning against the show when Andrea has already gotten fired? Do I think the new show runner has a lot of mess to clean up due to her? Absolutely however I'm not going to turn against the show until I see what he does because he may come in and completely flip things like Med. I don't think it's fair to him to punish him for Andreas doing.
3. I understand it's frustrating about the miscarriage but life moves on even for them. Absolutely mishandled but I actually don't hate the fostering and potential adoption. I feel like if written correctly if anything it will benefit them especially fostering while they decide the next steps for their family and you cannot fully convince me any of y'all would be as against it as y'all are if she never had the miscarriage but again I don't know. I remember the immediate reaction to potentially fostering being mentioned by her with fans immediately trying to say Kelly didn't support it and was just going along with it which was a complete projection of your own opinions due to how y'all personally feel about the expansion of their family and how it should be done. In the real world especially with reasons like Stellas people choose to foster or adopt rather than go the biological route all the time. It's far from the least realistic thing they've done.
End of rant I'll be back tomorrow to piss y'all off tomorrow
