Saturn can be difficult to generate satisfaction or ‘good feelings’ out of. Often the tasks we set with Saturn are admirable goals. But Saturn turns these dreams into concrete and resulting expectation. This is an area of life where failure is not an option. It can make the resonance very harsh and create obstruction through our own fears and self destruction. Saturn accepts nothing less than accomplishment. And when we accomplish his outstanding feats, we are not immediately gratified or rewarded or celebrated. Life seems to go on as normal, all the work we have done seems invalid, so much energy, effort, and pain expressed to feel nothing? I guess that’s the ‘expectation’ quality of Saturn. It’s the internal vision of greatness. Saturn knows our true potential beyond the self consciousness, complexes, and worry. The area of life where Saturn touches can feel like a non negotiable contract.

Saturn in the 1st house: Forced to constantly challenge ferocious critique from the ego, trapping the spirit in caged form, the individual can be forced through isolation and rejection and heartbreak to wake the inner alchemist. Saturn in the 1st is the late bloomer. It takes many years for the ancient spirit to come to grips with its human attributes 

Saturn in the 2nd house: Life, stability, and security can remains in constant fluctuation or threat. It can seem like no matter how hard the individual works, saves, or commits themselves they never catch a break. It can feel as if they are forever sacrificing their own self pleasure 

Saturn in the 3rd house: The individual must pass their exams. And they must do exemplary well - even if it’s not their subject of choice. Saturn in the 3rd has to fight a difficult battle with their own minds and generating focus, self belief, and confidence, academic failure is spirit destroying. And no matter what the score, the forbidding voice in the back of the mind, ‘you should have studied more’ 

Saturn in the 4th house: There can be a constant fight for security, stability, and safety. The individual charters through haunting inner territory to find the lost inner child. And it can seem like no matter how hard they try to nurture the inner child she is unwilling and traumatised, intense inner work is done with Saturn in the 4th and there is typically no one there to see it 

Saturn in the 5th house: The individual wages a battle on the ego, but the swords are raised by the ego. The expression of personality is pressured and bound by insecurity but forced into blinding light to perform a script that seems alien 

Saturn in the 6th house: Honourably committed to larger-than personal causes, the individual works tirelessly in the background, offering heart, mind, and talent to everybody in need of assistance. But they rarely receive commendation or recognition, the work is laborious and thankless 

Saturn in the 7th house: Relationships are commonly demanding, challenging and seemingly unforgiving. The individual may be forced into partnership with intensely difficult or critical people, those who echo their critical inner thoughts out loud as insult and become more isolated as a result, forced to wade through shadowy projections 

Saturn in the 8th house: The physical form and ego grips the spirit in stranglehold, the reticence to enter non physical states such as through meditation, union, enlightenment can be inhibited by the unrelenting fear of ‘letting go’. Often the individual will be expected to manage other people’s resources

Saturn in the 9th house: Achieving academic, theological, philosophical accreditation is vital. The individual faces exceeding pressures undertaking higher education and getting their works out into the world. When they finally graduate, publish the book, or learn the reading there is little or no credit from Saturn 

Saturn in the 10th house: The individual is forced to stare down intimidating and discouraging authority to achieve the remarkable vision set by Saturn. There is pressure to leave an imprint in the world, but the world is unwelcoming 

Saturn in the 11th house: An outsider pretending to be one with everyone, or so they think. The individual is forced to acquire, withhold, and release sacred and higher wisdom that can be mocked or branded by an unready society, the individual must continue to share their truth regardless of its loneliness 

Saturn in the 12th house: There is a powerful contract written in the theme of sacrifice and salvation. The individual’s duty to the collective are severe, the development of spiritual awareness and gnosis can sweep the individual into madness like a riptide. There are intense, invisible obligations undertaken for the spiritual nature of humanity

Moon in Leo - Slaughtered Sunlight

The moon in Leo is a conflicting experience. However, the energy of Leo with its pride, resilience, and fire can make any harsh experience another accomplishment on their repertoire. The moon is nocturnal, unseen, and the internal conditions hidden by the shadows, so it’s an interesting cosmic experiment when lunar illumination infuses with the sol of Leo. The expression of emotion radiates vividly throughout their auric field like the bleached light of a solar eclipse. Their happiness flows into the ether like honeycomb melting into golden sunlight, passion is a vivid fire dance of scarlet embers, and their sadness is like a crack in the sun leaking light into a black hole. The full moon can be especially stimulating and empowering, but the balsamic phase can be especially melancholic and bleak. 

Leo rules the heart, and the heart of Lunar Leo resides in the milk of the moon, she waits until the night and her nocturnal body begins to rise. Her emotional display calls the Goddesses into a ceremony, and she can conjure marvellous creative activity. Everything begins to touch her raw sensitivity, the glare of the day fading into the night, and some uncontrollable, desiring, and commanding life force awakening inside. Suddenly she can hear her heartbeat in her ear, and the empty space beside her opens up into an infinite hollow. There can be the sensation inside of an endless celestial space and a heart slowly bleeding into nothing, desperate to be obstructed by the locket of another heart. These emotions emanate with a ruthless and unstoppable quality that demand to hear its own echo. Without release, it can feel like an inferno is erupting with solar emotional flares tearing at her insides. She can become clinging, anguished to garner the response she desires, and pour out her insides to anybody who will listen to relieve the inflow. And when her solar home is lost and the inner child is abandoned in the darkness, the wolves hear the howls and cradle her in their claws. This is the part of Lunar Leo that has been raised to follow instinct, instantly react to threat with ferocious and flaming self-preserving resistance, and scream as loud as possible if danger is coming. Her sense of inner pride and ascendency is based on the feverish acquisition of heart’s desire, and she has spent so much time at war with the dark that she knows how to fire a dagger directly into an invisible target. She may be sensitive, but this is the battle armour she has built beneath the smoky moonlight, taking refuge under the arms of the Great Mother beneath her night sky blanket.

The 12th House

With 12th House placements, the worst fears have already come true, but you’re unaware until it surfaces from the unconscious. It can be jarring and uncomfortable, but ultimately, the 12th House has the deep, dark depths in which you feel as if you’re drowning, suffocating, holding your breath, waiting for the end that seems infinite.

In realizing that your fears have manifested, there is strength in transcendence, in finding the unconscious strength you never knew you had, those with 12th House placements may choose to swim instead of sink, breaking the surface to a lush paradise, seeing the clarity, clawing themselves onto the warmth of the shore. When they stand and look at the water, seeing their reflection, seeing how the waves crash, crawl and ease away, they see an endless horizon, an endless reservoir of vigor, bravery and wholeness.

The one with Sun in the 12th suffocates going unnoticed, not knowing who they are, fearing that they will never know themselves, that they will be overlooked. They fear they will never know who they are. They slip deeper and deeper into the depths, experiencing a death of the ego. The Sun in the 12th realizes this, looks deeply within to let go of the remnants of the ego that anchors them and rises, shining brightly over the water, finally seeing the things they struggled to accept about themselves, becoming the beautiful glow we call the Horizon.

The one with Moon in the 12th drowns in emotion, weighed down by the atmospheric pressure of their feelings. They fear their emotions are overwhelming, too much for anyone, even themselves to bear. They remain close to themselves, holding everything in, lonely and misunderstood. The one with Moon in the 12th clammed up in their cave ventures out of the echo chamber of emotion to find that they have a waterfall of empathy, emotions that smooth over all the rough moments of their life, the feelings like air humid and warm, encompassing all and everyone around them in support.

The one with Mercury in the 12th screams and screams, feeling silenced by everything and everyone. They fear they will never be heard, that they have nothing of worth to say. Like they will think of what to say, but they pop like bubbles. Their thoughts lie buried in the strong sand underneath the immense amount of water and they dig deep to find them and verbalize them. When the one with Mercury in the 12th emerges, choking and gasping for air, they find with deep, slow breathing that the thoughts flow easily into air, the way air condenses into a soft, drizzling summertime rain… bubbles with beautiful prisms of colors, reflective, defying gravity.

The one with Venus in the 12th is alone at the bottom of the pool, holding themselves tightly for there is no one to be there for them, fearing that no one will ever be. She drowns in love, only saving so much air for herself because she has given so many her bated breaths and closes herself away. The one with Venus in the 12th is discovered once washed up onto the shore, seeming ordinary, but shy within her shell. With gentle coaxing, the one with Venus in the 12th opens up, revealing the glimmering jewel inside to be loved and cherished for a lifetime.

The one with Mars in the 12th is swept away in a violent riptide, thrashing and fighting. They fear their anger will always take them away and under, that it will always surround them, never to be tamed and that others will venture in and step on the shattered shells in the bank and flee in pain. The one with Mars in the 12th digs their fingers into a stray piece of their lost self, taking a much needed break in the unforgiving waters and learns the ways of their anger, becoming an architect and crafting a sailboat, admiring the power hidden within themselves and the way it carves direction through their life.

The one with Jupiter in the 12th is overwhelmed by the tidal waves and is forced to migrate to new waters. They fear they have nothing, nothing at all except grains of sands between their fingers to offer anyone. They fear they will never learn to swim in the directions these waters beckon them to. The one with Jupiter in the 12th unconsciously knows, having a hidden oasis of perspective that blesses them wherever they go, absorbing the knowledge of all the oceans combined, discovering that the ability to ebb and flow has been within all along.

The one with Saturn in the 12th is a stone, eroded by the waters of their unconsciousness. They fear they will never be great, all breath is gone and they have drowned in their insecurity, destroyed that the feeling of their karmic lessons will play in a endless and cruel circle, that they will never be able to break it. The one with Saturn in the 12th works hard in their solitude, striving and striving to save themselves no matter the odds. Alone on the island, there is a shipwreck far from the shore. With these old relics, they learn from the mistakes of those that have lived long before them and start to build from scratch to something that shimmers with mastery.

The one with Uranus in the 12th has braved the storms that roll in suddenly out of the sky, they have been struck by lightning while swimming freely. Damaged, they fear they will never stand out and choose to conform and be like every other person, hiding the gift of rebellion that makes them sparkle. They fear the thing that makes them different will end in rejection. The one with Uranus in the 12th has been chosen to stand out, like a unique geode unearthed in the sand. Their ideas are innovative, creative and come from a special world whose waters flow entirely different from anyone else’s.

The one with Neptune in the 12th fears that they will never find their calling. They are lost souls at sea, going where the oceans take them, believing their soul is in the hands of something much larger than themselves and will not be handled with care. The one with Neptune in the 12th is at home in the ocean, the initial lonely chill of the water is something they become used to and eventually they learn their soul isn’t lost, its everything and anything that surrounds them. They lose all fear, transcending themselves to nourish their souls, no longer a victim of the cruel undercurrent.

The one with Pluto in the 12th fears the loss of life, the storm that eases in slow and surges into something uncontrollable, destroying everything they fought for on their long, treacherous journey so far. They fear not surviving it and losing everything, the fear of themselves never changing through all of it. The one with Pluto in the 12th breaks the surface of the unfathomable, icy black waters, witnessing their tragedy, but alive. They survive, pushing themselves to a new shore, change heavy in the air and within themselves. They watch the storm subside, well aware they will dream of it, and like the sky they see, they’ve undergone a great transformation.

Capricorn & Power

Have you ever sat outside during a thunderstorm in the dense heat of August and felt the raw power surging through the air? This happens because of all of the packed energy that needs a release. Capricorn is very much like that thunderstorm, their power is not something that they are necessarily trying to exert, it’s more natural than anything else. A lot of people may look at a quiet Capricorn sitting completely still in the corner of the class, dressed simply but elegantly, her pen held ready to write and think that she is somehow trying to seem better than you, that what she’s conveying through her self-control is some kind of snobbery or detachment to the people around her. The truth is that she takes certain things very seriously, but when she lets down her hair, she’s actually very down to earth, humble and accepting. Some people may see the hardworking Capricorn man, climbing the heights of the corporate ladder and think that he’s a greedy or opportunistic. The truth is that he is thinking about the future, even if he has no children or family, he wants to be able to support them when he does. Both of these people simply take a lot of pride in what they do in life, they don’t cut corners, they always do things to the best of their ability and when push comes to shove, they’ll be there for the ones they love until the bitter end. Capricorns happen to be very powerful people because their lives in general tend to be difficult, so that immense power is needed to be able to fulfill their destinies. Underneath that calm exterior are worlds of imagination, pure lifeforce and dreams of a better world, but you won’t ever see that side of Capricorn if they don’t feel they can trust you. That’s why Capricorns are so misunderstood: they’re immensely private individuals who naturally exude power, which gives the impression that they are cold, opportunistic or detached from the world. The truth is that they are anything but detached. In fact, on the inside, they feel the heartbeat of the Earth, their generation, the past and the future beating as one. Capricorns control themselves because if all of that power was released all at once, it might start a fire or dissipate and become meaningless. They learn early on that they have to keep it under wraps or let loose, it can almost be dangerous or self-destructive. There are certainly Capricorns who use their immense power for opportunism or greed, becoming completely apathetic to the world but this behavior is certainly not individual to Capricorns in the least. Search the corporate ladder, and you’ll find as many Capricorns as any one else. Capricorns are not necessarily drawn to power, like Scorpios, they are powerful from within, it isn’t something they need to seek, they already have it within them. Water signs tend to be far less judgemental of Capricorn because they are innately empathetic and intuitive, so they are able to sense who he or she really is beneath it all. Capricorns can become very bottled up and overwhelmed by their inner fire, and can become ashamed of it if it becomes difficult to control. What they need is an outlet. Whatever it is that they love, be it animals, writing, teaching, organizing events, if they put their mind to it, all of that power can be transferred into that cause and create something beautiful. Like Scorpio, Capricorns are very misunderstood for their ownership of so much natural power, like that of a thunderstorm, but if you actually try to get to know and understand the serious mountain goat sitting quietly in the corner, you’ll be surprised how much brilliant life and love there is carefully being regulated beneath.

In the womb before the world began, I was a child among other gods and children who were, or may be. There in the dark when we could not see each other’s faces, we agreed with one mind to be born, to separate, to forget the pact we made that we may learn the secrets of our fraternity. We agreed to know sorrow in exchange for joy, to know death in ex­change for life. We were dark seeds of possibility whisper­ing. Then one by one we entered alone. I’ve never really liked brown eyes Why view dullness when you could Appreciate the sparkle of green Or the shine of blue? Saturn in the 12th House - A Haunted Mind  

The inner self, violent waves of emotion, and the unknown depths inside can feel like they belong to somebody else with Saturn in the 12th. There can be trepidation diving into the internal world, it can represent a daunting and  unknown part of herself in a dark and murky sea. She may prefer to reside on the shore bank, paralysed by the fear of drowning in a mysterious black hole and submitting herself to madness, permanent exile, or helplessness. This aversion to relinquishing to the inner experience and allowing the water flow only distances her further from herself and her true, ultimate longing and desire. Conscious or unconscious, there is a powerful ache and empty space for the personal love and reunion with the divine father. The individual may have suffered some form of literal or figural abandonment, loss, or trauma with the father. She may have lost many years of the relationship due to alcohol or substance use, illness, confinement, or instability. There may be no traceable identity, or there may have been harsh emotional coldness and lack of empathy. This sense of loss opened a desolate void inside that howls to crawl into all-embracing arms of nurturing, acceptance, and protection of the father. It’s very possible to re-enact this relationship with the God the Father, the divine source inside. This is the place that she desperately longs to be, but this is on the island surrounded by deep water in the channel she would rather not cross. When she willingly submits the alchemist transmutes a sea-bound carriage just for her on the shore, steered by the compass of magic, rocking to a tidal lullaby and calling her with seductive saccharine song. 

Compassion can be an undeveloped or overdeveloped trait with Saturn in the 12th. There is a vividly empathic response to any form of collective or personal suffering and emotional activity in circulation. The display of compassion, emotionalism, and sensitivity can be quite overt and almost disproportionate to the situation. On the other hand, the individual may also occlude and internalise this heaviness and a convey detachment or unresponsiveness that puzzles company. It can generate exhaustive self-sacrifice out of obligation, responsibility, or compensation for lack of response. It’s also very possible for the individual to activate both of these qualities. She can see-saw between highly stimulated internal activity where she is devoured by emotions, receptivity, and unseen forces and descend into an emotional coma, numb and dead inside. The imagination can take hostage with ideals that crash against anxiety in a hurricane, and then the capacity for fantasy and mental imagery can atrophy itself. This hostility creates a greater urgency to escape from herself and separate from her authentic experiences. It’s possible that solitude is a haunting and vulnerable experience where she is confronted with the unknown cavern that she avoids at all costs. On the other hand, alone can be a very comfortable and safe place due to the trauma of rejection and exile. She can feel that she is too raw and ill equipped to acknowledge what she truly feels, senses, and has potential for doing. It can spill into her professional life and relationships. She may feel to fragile or unready for the world, unable to materialise her creativity and resources into reality, and repeat the circumstances of her earliest relationships through present partners. There can be a lack of self and emotional awareness and shame associated with satisfying emotional needs, being dependant, and the various lovers she invites inside out of desperation and lacking a sense of existence. Sleep is vital with Saturn in the 12th, but it may not be a dreamy time. She may go through periods of sleeplessness followed by inability to wake, disturbed sleep, repetitive dreams and nightmares, sleep paralysis, or even self-induced sleep deprivation.  

The obstacles are invisible with Saturn in the 12th, as with her battle armour and prizes for triumph. The individual may find it challenging to acquire the suitable support networks or assistance from people, they may find it difficult to understand her problem and have uncertainty about how to help. She is forced to be self-sufficient during her most delicate and raw moments, and she may reflect and wonder how she made it out of these alive. Her achievements are unseen, but they are not unnoticed. There are some people who mark success with fame, fortune, or role. But success for Saturn in the 12th is written on sacred sand, beyond the atrophy of prying eyes. Inner battles she has fought and won, wounding moods and anxieties, moving through life despite feeling incomplete or lacking substance, a secret contract between the master and the student. The ghosts that haunt her are her lost selves, her wounded inner child, and her self-critique and condemnation. The empty space is also the reservoir that collects psychic energy and contaminants from her company. It can be too static, energetic, or confusing to comprehend until she is seclusive and still. Solitude provides the personal time with God to reflect, rationalise, and integrate the large volume of intuitive material that search and find her. When she does not go alone, her mind and body become paralysed, heavy, too exhausted to sleep. Her body is her captor, but its also her temple of worship. It’s a vessel that contains inherited centuries old healing recipes, the service of angels, collective wisdom, the sacred crone’s analgesia and miracle restorative elixir. The deeper inside she goes, the higher she rises and surrenders. The exit from captivity is through the entrance, submitting everything but faith to enter the darkness and swim beneath the waterfall that paints her golden mermaid tail.

it can be difficult to identify or accept our pluto nature. sometimes this energy can materialise as pure destruction, often reflecting the deep internal transformations that are taking place. but it’s not like you get told that this is happening. self-provoked events can seem morbidly fatalistic, like it was generated by some outward force or some other person. pluto acts on unconscious impulse, so it can produce behaviour in us that seems uncharacteristic, relentlessly self-destructive, or like being taken over by something. we follow the invisible currents of pluto like some sort of compulsion that doesn’t seem to belong to anything. pluto is the infinite part in us, so we are also carrying past lives and our spiritual evolutions so it can make the experience even more evasive. important to remember that you cannot regress with pluto. it takes a long time, pluto doesn’t move quickly. it’s hard for us to see this change because we see and know ourselves everyday, we can’t see the incremental transformations that have been taking place. but when you look back at your life and solitary self-reflection, you can see how the path aligned, and how you got to where you are today and how you wouldn’t change anything

Asteroids in retrograde, just as with planets, symbolize Karma that needs to be worked on for a person in this lifetime.  The nature of Retrograde shows the internalization of the traits of the Asteroids.  This can be done so the person learns to deal with the nature of the asteroid that they struggled with a prior incarnation.

Retrograde asteroids can have an impact on the a person the same way Retrograde planets have.   This can result in varied effects on the expression of the asteroids nature for a person.  Sometimes i can help the person be more aware of the asteroids presence and effects, sometimes it can hinder them. The deepest impact felt by asteroids in retrograde come from the asteroids of Chiron, Juno, Vesta, Ceres, and Pallas.

As with all retrograde occurrences the Chiron’s nature is more internalized into the consciousness.   In this life the wounding occurring from Chiron is attaching deeper into the conscious level making the wounding more apparent. Chiron in Retrograde can create a scenario where a wounding during the life is so deep the person is always conscious is always aware of it.  The individual most likely will have troubles moving forward from the pain they received causing psychological troubles..  

The house Chiron is in tells where the wound most likely occurred along with the traits affected in the person’s life.  This house may have trouble expressing itself due to the severe wounding received attached to the consciousness.  In a sense Chiron in retrograde acts like a second Saturn in the chart limiting the person potentially in the house it sits in.  However where Saturn offers lessons and the lifting of Karma, Chiron’s effects can be constant.

Chiron in Retrograde can be a karmic lesson that teaches the person about pain not dealt with in a past life.  Another possible scenario from this retrograde is the person is dealing with acknowledgment of wounding and pain they inflicted upon others.  For the person to move forward in life this position forces them to get of of their comfort zone and seek the aid of others to cope and move forward.  Once the native learns how to do deal with Chiron’s wounding, he is stronger and more able to repay karmic debts and help others in the way the wounded healer likes.

If the person chooses to drown in their pain instead of moving forward it may always be difficult for them.  This can set the tone possibly to relive this same karma in another incarnation.  The person must take responsibility for finding how to cope with the deepest wounds the feel.  Whether it’s through soul searching or by  opening themselves up to help from others.  Whichever way the person must face their deepest wounds of their own accord.

With retrograde Juno in an individual’s birth chart a person can internalize and think more about marriage and partnerships in general.  Juno in retrograde may make the individual possess a Libra-like attachment to relationships in their life. This comes from their constant internal contemplation of relationships in their life.  An individual here with this retrograde can think a lot about the fairness, equality, sacrifice, and overall commitment a union.

A system of checks and balances internally can be in play over how relationships are valued.  With Juno retrograde the person can possibly have struggles committing to a union due to thinking about their complexities.  This can make them come across as shy and potentially have issues approaching suitable partners.  Conversely the person can consider the benefits of forming a marriage of business partnerships.  Relationships may be so important to them they are more aggressive in pursuing them after seeing their benefits.
