Hey! I loved your picture, you are so pretty! I was just wondering, are you still in school? What is your major? How do you keep from getting burnt out on it? I'm not going to be able to continue school for the moment because of financial problems, so I'm getting my AA asap and taking a break until I get the money to go back. I'm just scared that I'll get complacent and not want to go back to school, you know? Anyway, thank you for running such a wonderful blog!
hey! Thanks for the kind words, I always feel a little funny posting pics of myself. Please forgive the delayed response, I really just wanted to think about what I really wanted to say to you, so here goes.
I'm not in school anymore but I was in your situation. I got accepted to an out of state school but I didn't go because I didn't want the $ stress. I stayed in state and I got a great scholarship and when that ran out....I started working. I started working and made money and the more money I made, the more stuff I got, so I couldn't stop working and eventually I took less classes a semester. I say all that to say is that it is super easy to get complacent and just as easy to just scrap all your plans without even realizing it.
Since you asked ME, I say this is a turning point for you. The college road is not the same for everyone and here is where you have to remind yourself of the plans and goals you have for yourself. That's how you not get complacent. There is a life you want for yourself and that is what/ should keep you going. If you are going to stop and get a job, Don't get a job at a deli ( not that there is anything wrong with that!) you need a job that will help you pay for school so that its not really taking a "break" per se. You can work at Target, Home Depot or in customer service at a bank in an entry level position like I did and that helped with some of the general courses I had to take via tuition reimbursement. Will you have to work a little longer in exchange? probably, but you are getting it done. All I'm saying is be strategic about your next move. Don't give up because somebody is counting on you to change the world. Keep me posted, Andrea.
This person is awesome.
