i must not get takeout. takeout is the wallet-killer. takeout is the little-death that brings total obliteration. i will face the kitchen, fridge, and pantry. i will make choices about what to cook and then execute them. when hunger is gone there will be nothing. only i will remain.

Earthset
The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon. The Apollo 8 mission was the first crewed spacecraft to circumnavigate the Moon.

Photographer 📸 Charlie Lansche, aka @charlie_lansche on Instagram - "Of Wind and Fire. I went for a hike last evening to explore the backside of our local mountain range with low hopes of making an image. Conditions were harsh with heavy wind gusts and spatters of rain and sleet. Fast moving clouds raked the mountain peaks. And when the sky began to unexpectedly fire up, I struggled to find a composition beneath these massive granite spires. I held down my tripod so it wouldn’t blow over and shot with an ISO and shutter speed much higher than I normally would in order to freeze the wind-blown movement of the grass, sotol, and desert scrub. The reward was one of the most dynamic skies I’ve seen here in Southern New Mexico. I love exploring — and coming home with an image and a memory is simply the frosting. Wishing you all a great weekend!"
