FREEDOM LIKE THIS IS AN ODD thing to have, especially when it’s paired with a curiosity like his. although he’s good at an array of different things, all thanks to the carefully curated schedule ( containing an even blend of sports and music, but mostly emphasizing academics ) he was given in his early years, there’s a lot of things he lost out on. making friends organically, for one thing, isn’t something he’s good at unless they’re stuck up brats who only see him as his net worth. as such, being interested in another person is completely beyond him, especially someone so ordinary. usually, he’d prefer to stay away until said interest died down ( and he found an easier conquest ), but this time, he ended up here. minjoon has never really spoken to will beyond what was necessary for any courses they had together, and even now, he remains cool and distant, which explains why most people deem him as unapproachable. ( and this is him trying his best, but his attempt clearly falls short of what should be expected from someone who paid money to be here ). “ mm, ” he replies, taking time to think the question over. “ i prefer coffee, actually. do you mind? ” at least he’s well - mannered, but it doesn’t outweigh how bad he is at the rest of this.
… ◜ it was awkward, truth be told. the air was stale and there was a weird vibe in the air coming from minjoon. fascination maybe? will was used to that. since he had joined the club, he was often fawned over for his novelty of being the only host who wasn’t from a prominent family. which was honestly just a fancy way of saying he was... P O O R. there was a curt not at his client’s request. ‘ of course. ’ will got up and wandered to a small cart nearby. ‘ how do you take your coffee? and would you prefer freshly ground or instant? ’ most others preferred freshly ground, but he always asked in case they were feeling daring that day. other clients ( not to mention the other hosts ) were watching the pair. he supposed that it did look odd. someone with such a standoffish persona paying to spend time with an average guy like will? the resident plaything of the men’s club? it didn’t matter to him though. it never did. he could only hope they he’d be entertaining enough for the other boy to come back. he really needed the requests.
