Summer Fun || Jeff & Tristan

Jeff couldn’t help but laugh “Only took Spanish, you might as well be talking Chinese to me,” he pointed out with a little smile. It really was amazing how people could slip into another language so easily while Jeff struggles to get out a sentence.

Jeff paid for the ice creams, and while he girl wasn’t very helpful, Jeff had an idea how much he needed to pump in. If he was going through a low, he’d just get something to eat. It was Central Park, there’s enough food trucks around. He just needs to get his insulin without the other noticing “And look at you, a completely different person,” he said, sitting down on a bench,sitting Luna between them. “I would totally be up to it if I wasn’t fucking terrified of losing her in the crowd.”

I am so thankful that my off-campus accommodations have AC, otherwise I would probably die this summer. Especially with the small dance studio space I’ve got, so I won’t overheat when I’m rehearsing, keeping myself in shape. 

And no awkward sweating as I walk around nude. 

Also, anyone else stoked on farmers’ market season starting up?!

I’ve been craving McDonald’s nuggets and a McFlurry all damn week and today was my cheat day so I finally decided it was time to hashtag treat myself and the girl behind the counter gave me extra toppings on my McFlurry and slipped me an extra sauce. Day made.

“You’re great. Thanks, man!” Jeff said with a wide smile, glad his friend was on board with his crazy quest of being the most embarrassing dad. He really just wanted to make Luna happy at the end of the day.

Jeff shook his head fondly “Okay, we need to change that. You know you did something wrong when I, of all people, tells you to eat ice cream,”You could have a little more fun,” he pointed out with a little shrug before buying them their ice creams, smiling widely as Luna grabbed her strawberry one. “You know the nutritional facts of these?” he asked the girl behind stand. Thank god he was a health nut before, asking  how many carbs his food has isn’t completely out of character for him. Now he just had to get his insulin in without Tristan noticing.

Jeff chuckled “Thanks, Tristan, I’ll appreciate anything to add onto my repertoire,”  learning a new language you barely understood in high school was hard, but the reason made it worth it. it got Jeff out of his ass and focused on being able to communicate with his daughter.

His eyes widened as Tristan said it had been so long since he’s had ice cream “Are you serious? Dude, even I have ice cream more often,” he shook his head, asking for three cones for the three of them “We gotta change that, c’mon, you gotta have fun.”

Kids are really something else. The little things don’t matter to them and I find myself inspired by it everyday.

I find it harder lately, knowing that I’m getting to a place where I could raise a child if I wanted, but she’s happy and so loved, and it’s what she needs. I did the right thing. Plus I get to be in her life. I’m lucky.

They were the cutest. 

Yeah, that’s good. Keep thinking that that way. You still get to be in her life, you’re right.
