"Put it down! Bad Robot-Shark-With-Legs! Very bad!"
Our worlds are in danger? Don't ye panic none, we've got a grampa with a knife. Take that, sentient black hole! He'll sort you right out.
Sizzling hot take: Siege Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime did nothing wrong. It's a great toy! It's just that the original Cybertron toy was better (probably! I don't have it! I'm not made of money!)
I actually love Cybertron Unicron. As a standalone character, rather than the big guy himself, he's just a mad bug tank thing doing cosplay. There's something wonderfully silly and camp about the whole thing, even when he's looming out of the fog to come and getcha.
Storm Surge.
Hardtop versus nature. The karmic fate of all poachers.
Cybertron Quickmix.
I don't take many pictures in portrait. Perhaps I ought to, as this one worked so much better the instant I turned the camera around again.
Also I'm very happy with this little plinth. It makes anything look important!
The only problem is that it didn't have a proper plate or shallow dish at the top, and the Blokees coin I'm using is barely big enough.
Technically this is '07 movie Breakaway. But come ooooonnnn. It's a Cybertron mould through and through.
And to muddy things up even more, it's the G1 Getaway for my collection. Oh, I'm sure there's going to be a new mould Age Of The Legacies Getaway at some point in the next 18 months or so, but it would have to be something very special to entice me to change.
Further Ev-action.
Vector Prime and Safeguard have a day at the seaside.
Ugh, sorry that I've been doing some quite boring close-ups lately. My excuse is that it's really hot and sitting around in a tiny room fiddling with poses is not actually much fun.
So here's the weird design choices of Wong Saber's daft face.
Ca-caw!
The best Laserbeak? No, obviously that's the masterpiece. But this one's great too.
Absolute god-king of Cybertron toys. With TFN coming up I am imploring anyone who hasn't had a go on one of these - get one. It's sublime.
"It belongs in a museum!"
(Or shoved up someone's slot. Maybe you call your slot a museum, I don't know)
The bargain.
That Starscream mould was so bizarrely handled. Don Figueroa designs a cool new look for seekers for the War Within comic, Takara create a near-perfect rendition of it in plastic, and then Hasbro… just don't release it. So they don't deflect people from buying the ridiculous oversized one that nobody wanted. They do this one which looks more like Thrust, another one that's supposed to be Dirge if you squint, but no actual normal Starscream.
I'd like to say that today they'd be pumping the mould out in every colour imaginable, but they had that Legacy Cybertron Starscream and haven't redecoed it once! Bonkers.
Ransack versus Override. I think this one came out really well.
