please PLEASE take 2 economics courses, Microecon and Macroecon. You need to understand price limitations and what they do. You need to understand consumer/producer surplus, you need to understand aggregate demand, and how taxes affect these things. Please. If you do you'll understand what's wrong with what Bernie is proposing. I could try to proselytize to you but it would be better that you'd just take the classes at school. I know you're a true believer but just try to be educated openly
As I plan to study economics in college I will be taking those courses, however from what I have studied so far I believe that Bernie’s reforms - or some variation of socialist style reforms - are necessary given that we are headed towards the greatest era of income inequality of modern times. Capital by Thomas Piketty is currently the most in-depth analysis of capitalism’s manifestation in the western world and it demonstrates how income inequality has increased and will continue to do so as the rate of return on capital exceeds the rate of economic growth which causes a severe gap in the concentration of wealth, so I think you should give that a read and consider the benefits of tax reforms for the wealthy to curb the growth of what is increasingly becoming a small, wealthy aristocracy.
Exactly. A major problem with modern economics is that economists have tried too hard to make economics a natural science rather than a humanity. The modern economic community pretends that current economic rules and guidelines are laws of nature, when they are rather a conceptual human invention. In doing this, modern economics has become so detached from reality that the study of present knowledge of it is practically valueless. What I would recommend this Anon do is think critically about the very base of modern economics and analyze it's true nature instead of hanging on to every supposed 'law' of it. Economics is not concrete or discoverable because we invented it, as such, we can change our idea of economic priorities based on new data, rather than trying to force the natural world into our dream of an economic system. Demand is an arbitrary concept, price ceilings are an arbitrary concept, I could go on, but there is nothing NATURAL about them, it's all made up.

Ugh I know, unfortunately I saw that. It seems that Hillary is so desperate she’s resorting to exaggeration and taking things out of context, but luckily for us, Bernie wouldn’t stoop so low because he believes in speaking about the issues, rather than being dishonest, to get votes. So, while Hillary tries to portray Bernie as a sexist, he will continue to tout his incredibly feminist record as he supports women’s right to healthcare, their right to choose, their right to essential maternity leave, and their right to equal pay for equal work - and that includes all women, not just for white middle class women.
Bernie Sanders: We must demilitarize police departments & end minimum sentencing. These are real issues that need to be dealt with.

I go to CU Boulder and literally everyone is currently walking around in Sanders shirts. Some kid is even passing out Sanders buttons. He came here a few weeks ago, and treated us so much better than the Republicans are today. The Reps are in for quite a surprise if they think students are in any way going to support them.
