i definitely don’t agree with steve time traveling to the past since it’s mentally unhealthy for him, he wouldn’t be able to visit sam, and the peace he’s looking for wouldn’t be there, but the posts about how steve is “ditching” his friends and taking the easy way out or whatever nonsense is equally stupid since the guy doesn’t owe anybody anything at this point given how in almost every movie he’s in he’s being self-sacrificing for the greater good and it ends in tragedy for the guy.

personally, i think it would’ve been cooler, and in character, if he joined thor or the guardians of the galaxy and just moved the fuck away from earth. he could help rebuild new asgard, get drunk off of space ale, tumble with the asgardians since steve will always like to tussle, bro out with thor, etc. he could travel the galaxy with the gotg, get drunk off of space wine, tumble with aliens and rival bounty hunters, bro out with the crew, thor joining them, etc. steve’s life on earth was so sad, and he also lost one of his closest friends (two if you include tony ...i guess) so yeah i think he’d love space and would recover better there.

but like regardless i can’t hate that steve’s ending concluded with his first step towards finding his own happiness

After Endgame Steve probably likes calling the mjolnir across galaxies and towards himself just to mess with Thor. He has to keep his arm up for three days straight sometimes but it’s worth it.

Thor has stated multiple (27) times that he isn’t afraid to punch an old man.

Steve does it anyway.

being a steve rogers fan since 2012 is being completely disappointed yet unsurprised at yet another unsatisfying/unnecessary character development and being unfazed when you see bucky barnes fans jump ship and accusing steve of “abandoning him” as if we didn’t see the same exact thing with post avengers1/cacw hc woobie!tony stark fanfics; as if we didn’t know that our boy steve was only ever popular to prop up the other half of his most popular ships.

so all these posts about sambucky is giving me palpitations because you 200% know sam is going to be the replacement for steve and im so sorry sam you don’t deserve what’s about to come

can you imagine if steve was peter’s mentor instead of tony. no creepy comments about aunt may, legitimate training in superpowers, healthy relationship dynamics, big bro little bro antics between two white boys suffering from Feisty Bitch Disease. steve would be like 50% of homecoming cuz he would be all up in peter’s life, checking in on him, making sure he’s ok, and that’s why marvel decided to go for tony stark cuz the guy is the textbook example of a bad dad which let peter have more screen time due to his negligence.
