Barcode and Variable information labels can be produced using both Direct Thermal printing and Thermal Transfer printing. Direct thermal relies on a coating over the papers surface that is heat sensitive
Offset printing is a process used in producing large volume print materials in which images embossed on metal plates are transferred to rubber rollers and then onto print media. To preserve the life of the metal plates, the rubber rather stamps the print material such as paper or synthetics.
The Flexographic printing process is most suited for those medium to large production runs, from simple one to six spot colour designs to process cmyk with spot PMS colour matching capabilities. The latest in Camera technology assists in constant registration as this is a must in High Speed web printing. Both Rotomag and Comco 6 and 5 Colour presses assist our printers in our up to date Manufacturing plant. All ink mixing and matching is done in house to ensure we have full control at the print stage - Prepress work from proofing to plate stage is carried out in our art department to speed up the whole process.
New to the market, these labels are printed using Memjet technology - testing new designs on a short run basis to feel the market or a promotional option for your business.The use of digital technology eliminates the expensive charges of other printing methods (Offset, Flexo, Letterpress) Plates, Dies and Setup time add to the cost of conventional printing processes, Digital printing eliminates these charges at the expense of small Print quality losses.
