This is essentially a self-trigger blog. Please beware.
i do not reblog reblog-bait posts, posts like weight loss spells/fairies and “reblog if you care about ____.” Just because i don’t interact with a post doesn’t mean I don’t care about an issue.
When I interact with a ed post, I do not mean to encourage your behaviors. When I like a post, I’m telling you that I relate and/or that I hear you. I am listening and I care. I don’t enjoy your pain.

wl tips coming from someone who got to my ugw (recovered and gained weight, trying again)
Don't exercise whilst fasting. I do not care how fat and gross you may feel. You will only make yourself hungrier and feel beyond exhausted. To last longer, preserve your energy. (U can go on a 30 min walk SLOWLY)
Fasting longer then I'd say 2 days will make you want to binge, if you are prone to binging and that kinda behaviour don't fast for extreme periods of time. It's a bad cycle to get stuck in, don't push it further
As long as you are under ur calorie deficit, you can eat anything. If that means having a beer and a pizza slice, you can. You can still have ur fave snacks, eating tones of veggies and never feeling satiated will only lead to binges and slower weightloss if it means you binge on the stuff u restricted from yourself in the first place. If you need to eat some cheesecake do that
If you aren't losing or have hit a plateau and you eat under 500 a day everyday. You aren't eating enough, sounds counter productive (less calories more weightloss) but your body will ass fuck ur metabolism and it will back fire
It takes time. Don't beat yourself up, it's a disorder and the thoughts aren't rational. You can't just jump into it with delusion that you'll eat egg whites everyday and a protein bar and you'll look like a model. Have realistic expectations and you won't yoyo your weight. Trying to speed run weightloss will only lead to speed running it all back
You honestly don't need to exercise. If you want to look muscular and toned, yes it helps. If you just want to drop weight a cal deficit is fine. Walk, be active and healthy yes. But you don't need to over exercise. I got to my ugw by just walking to school there and back 20 mins each way. I layed in bed the rest of the day. If you overeat a bit cool you can burn some calories. However you can lose weight and not workout. It's possible
Take care of your metabolism and it will take care of you. Have high cal metabolism day, this prevents plateau and ur body shutting down and refusing to burn anymore fat. Ur metabolism has a huge role in ur body, and neglecting it will screw you.
Don't weigh yourself everyday, once a week max. It may be tempting but crying over 0.3kg of water weight will only bring you down more. Your hard work is paying off I promise.
Be very VERY mindful of snacking, early in my wl journey I'd be like oh a small snack small cals it's fine. It adds up, and the habit stays. If you can't handle hunger that's on you. Its tough, but it means its working. Eat actually filling, protein dense meals. The habit of snacking and constantly eating will not lead to you getting to ur gw.
Not really a tip but a good thing I heard when I first started out. YOU WILL BE HUNGRY. "Uh yeah duh no shit" no I mean it, even a little, you'll be hungry to some extent. You are not going to be full and happy from 2 eggs and a cucumber stick. Learning to deal with hungry and push past it was better then crying about it and snacking to get rid of an uncomfortable feeling
WEIGHTLOSS IS NOT HARD. Restricting VERY low is hard yes, but weightloss isn't hard. It's challenging, it's uncomfortable. This mindset made it alot more achievable and less intimidating. Calories in calories out, simple. It is an [uncomfortable] feeling that's all
Know your triggers, this takes time but hear me out. I would binge rarely because I knew that weighing myself, getting emotional, angry at myself for eating was a trigger. "Fuck it I'm fat anyways" kinda energy. I limited the times I weighed myself, I'd think logically after I ate "I need the calories to do x,y,z plus my metabolism. I realistically didn't eat that much to actively gain weight. I will be fine" this took time and getting to the root of the problem is the way to go
Hope this helped someone, every wl journey is different and a disorder is a disorder at the end of the day. Stay safe 💗
1. if you exercise way hard and the next day youre super sore, eat a bit more protein than usual. trust me, when r3str'cting, your muscles will stay sore much longer because they can't heal as easily. some extra protein will help your body heal and you can start exercising again sooner
2. tasty drinks can help curb cravings. sometimes we want to eat just for the happy chemicals in our brains that we receive from yummy foods. good drinks can replace snacking- like vitamin waters, no sugar sodas, smoothies, sometimes even gum
3. if you wean off of refined sugars, your cravings will likely go down DRASTICALLY. ive been doing recipes with sugar subs and dark chocolates etc and my cravings for cake and chocolate cookies has gone down a lot. also, healthier desserts play a big role! strawberries and yogurt are a personal favorite
4. there are no cheat days. if you want a bowl of ice cream, have the ice cream, just one or two scoops instead of four. if you want some pasta, have a small bowl with a side of veggies. cheat days are set backs!!
5. a metabolism day needs to be like 2000 c4ls. no, 1000 c4ls is not enough even if its more than you usually eat. most adults need 2000 or more c4ls daily to keep a healthy body, so thats the amount you should have if you want to push your body out of a plateau and get your metabolism going again
(this is all coming from someone who's lost 55+ Ibs! just my credibility lol)
Being a man in ED spaces makes me kind of hyper aware of the way some of you ladies forget men can just have eds that aren't gymbro based and it's weird ngl let me be a skinny legend too plz 🙏
Is there a show or anything on youtube that y’all use to motivate yourself? Not just Supersize vs superskinny obviously i know about that lol but i’m wondering what else I could be watching!
1. Stay BUSY. I mean BUSY. Completely fill your day of things preferably outside of the house - if you have nothing outside of the house to fill your day with, keep busy with self care, games, cleaning, etc.
2. Stay OUT of the kitchen or restaurants. If you're stuck at home, and you want to eat - TAKE A BATH!! The hotter the bath, the better. Not only does sweating burn cals, but you're literally trapped in a different room than the kitchen
3. Drink fluids. I like to liquid fast so I drink SF soda and SF redbull along with water. It helps the cravings and hunger pangs
4. Sleep! I know a lot of people have full time jobs and busy lives so we can't all sleep always, but if you can - do it! It makes time fly, I always have less hunger pangs and cravings and sleeping still burns cals!
5. If you're about to cave into food before your fast is over, ask yourself if giving up all your hard work is worth a couple seconds of flavor. It never is. Also - you know what it tastes like, you don't need to figure it out again.
6. Look up m3anspO, th!nsp0, etc to help you stay motivated! Or get a buddy to help you stay accountable!
- drink 500 ml of water before you eat (can be ice cold or warm)
- cut all your food into small pieces (half, then cut the half ibi quarters, etc)
- don’t binge or purge, it’s worse than restricting
- don’t do high intensity exercises because they make you hungrier
- avoid doing a keto diet,yes I know.
- eat your dinner late so you won’t binge
- skip breakfast
- avoid chewing and spitting ,focus on restriction instead
- have a long time before your next meal for proper digestion like 7-9 hours
- try to eat homemade food 80 percent of the time
- go on the 5 bite diet
- go on the treadmill 2-3 times a week and burn 500 cals or go every other day and burn 200
- always find excuses to not eat like “I’m not hungry”,” I just recently ate lunch by thank you!” “Sorry, I have a stomach we”, “I feel sick, I think I’m going to lie down”
- always say no when people offer you food
- if you can’t estimate the calories of it or don’t know the exact ones, don’t eat it
- drink about 1.5 to 2 liters of water daily
- don’t eat fast food,pizza,cookies,biscuits,chips,cinnamon rolls,cereal,Nutella,pb and j,candy,chocolate,fries and burgers (unless it’s homemade or air fried),cakes,cupcakes,
- eat sometimes or rarely pancakes, waffles and pizza (1 a month only)
- eat in front of family so they don’t get suspicious
- keep busy to avoid eating ; watch movies and tv shows, read books, exercise, stretch, draw, paint, listen to music,go on TikTok or tumblr, watch YouTube, crochet, talk to friends, etc
- do multiple diets so you always know what’s your calorie limit or plan ; this avoids binges
- stop doing metabolism days, they are a myth and just an excuse to shove food in your mouth, just keep restricting even more once you reach a plateau
- do cardio first to get rid of fat, then Pilates to tone yourself
- skip as much meals as you can and replace them with drinks (tea, coffee, water, monster, smoothies, etc)
- if your stomach is really and I mean REALLY flat at ANY point of the day, not just when you wake up, that means you’ve been starving yourself effectively so continue doing it UNLESS someone asks “did you eat?” Then that’s your signal to eat or drink something so they don’t get suspicious
How to survive eating out or at restaurants
- share your food with a family member or a friend, let them eat most of it like all the fries and you can just eat your burger or cut the burger and fries into half
- NEVER say yes to dessert or if you don’t,don’t be eating a meal as well! Trust me,desserts are usually high calorie
- always order Diet Coke or water or any other diet beverage
- eat slowly and cut your food into small pieces
- sit up straight while you eat so your digestion is good and you can tell when your hungry
- use less or no sauces
[alternative* don’t go out to eat and just air-fry a burger and fries (preferably 10-12 fries) at home, pick your lowest calorie bread and cut off all the crust, add some tomatoes, drink a Diet Coke or water with it and use less sauces! This will usually come around to 250-400 calories for everything which isn’t too bad than an 1200 meal at a restaurant)
- drink lots of water before and after your meal
- ask your family and friends if they want to walk after eating (usually they would as it’s good to walk after eating) this will burns cals and help your digestion!
Getting into the honey moon phase
My method for getting yourself into restrictions of all types or a “honeymoon phase”.
- drink tea right when you wake up
- 5 after after that, eat a small lunch. Preferably, home cooked food that either you or your parents made (like rice and salmon or some pasta and beef) Make sure it’s a SMALL meal
- don’t eat or drink ANYTHING for the next 9 hours
- you should notice your stomach is super flat right now like REALLy flat as you only drank tea and has a very small meal for kind
- it’s probably late now, around 10-12 at night so grab a Diet Coke and whatever you want to eat
( hint: it CAN be something like fast food or not, if it’s pizza then grab the thinnest, smallest slice. If it’s a burger, cut it into half/a quarter and eat it,its fries only eat 5 of them)
- drink more tea then go to bed
- weigh yourself the next morning (you’ll lose a lot don’t worry)
- because you lost a lot,now you’ll be motivated to continue starving and BOOm honeymoon phase is back and better than ever.
