Recently, we released an update the iOS SNF app, which went live in the App Store this past weekend.
We have found the issue with the latest version(1.4). It seems that, when naming stickers, anything outside of normal English characters cause the app to crash. We are submitting the fix to the App Store, which will take a few days.
The fix, for now, is to remove any characters that aren't standard English. Also, don't use any emoticons, emoji, etc.
You can do this 2 ways: quickly change before connection is established or, even easier, shut off Bluetooth, change the name(s) and turn it on. You'll be good after that.
This update has brought many improvements to the iOS app. Here is the change log listed in the App Store:
NOTICE: This release will update sticker to latest firmware over the air. The sticker will briefly disconnect and then reconnect after the update.
- New sticker firmware adds support for iOS7
- Changed buzzer in stickers to produce louder "melody tone"
Fixed an error that caused some users to lose sticker names
Virtual Leash system improved to prevent false alerts
Added video tutorial that explains how to properly use radar
Radar now displays signal strength as the new default (Users can still enable Radio Feet from the Settings screen in the app)
Improved language localization support
General stability improvements and bug fixes
On the Android side, we are finishing up beta testing on the S4 and should have an official release into the Play Store within the next few days. We are still accepting beta testers for compatible Samsung, Motorola, HTC and Nexus devices. Please email [email protected] and we will add you to the list.

We are happy to update you that Version 1.2 of the iOS app has gone live in the App Store. This version:-Removes the EULA popup-Improves the Virtual Leash-Faster connection times- Localized, multi language support (English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, Swedish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai)This is really good update.....but you haven't seen anything yet. The iOS Development Team has been working on a newer version with some incredible features along with UI improvements. We will be submitting the new version to Apple as soon testing is done, sometime next week.
On the Android side, the Android team is working day and night on updates to app in the Play Store. Testing started on S4 compatibility the day the device was released and will be adding HTC and Motorola devices that have Bluetooth 4.0 BLE to the list soon.
We have some updates regarding the iOS and Android apps:
iOS- we are heavily testing the stability on the next release, which is coming soon, that improves stability and enhancements to the UI. There is still some issues with the Leash, but we are working hard to fix them.
Android- we are, currently, working on compatibility with the following devices:
Motorola Razr MAXX HD
HTC One, Doid DNA
Samsung Galaxy S4
Also, we've had a few people inquire about the Galaxy Note 10.1. That device will be added to the compatible devices list very soon.

Hi Finders,With the release of the new Samsung Galaxy S4, we have received questions from new S4 owners. In regards to Samsung S4 compatibility with SNF:Samsung has decided to finally support Bluetooth Low Energy(BLE). They have released Beta libraries so that we could make Samsung devices compatible with our StickNFind Stickers. The only catch is that the libraries that Samsung released work with Android OS 4.2 and newer. This means that the current Samsung-supported devices with 4.1.2 are not supported by the new libraries released by Samsung.
Samsung S3, S3 Mini and Note 2- devices that are running 4.1.2 as well as the Beta libraries we hacked to work with SNF, are and will stay compatible with SNF stickers and Android app.
We intend to release SticknFind app with the new 4.2 support very soon. It will be a matter of weeks.
We have S4 phones here for development and we are full steam ahead!
Hi Finders,There is an update to the app in the Play Store. Here is what's new:- fix for lose connection with S3 GT-I9300 model- added End User License Agreement- power consumption optimizedAlso, we are still working hard to submit Version 1.2 in the iOS App Store.
Hi Finders, In this update, we will be posting a summary of the week's activities and updates. We will be posting this summary every Friday to make sure everyone is up to date on SNF:
We are excited to announce that the Android app is LIVE in the Google Play Store! While, it's still considered a beta, we are working hard to improve the SNF app. The work is not over, and the StickNfind app will get many upgrades, and improvements.

Here is an update for those of you using Samsung S3, S3 Mini and Note 2. If you are rooted and using a different ROM outside of stock Touchwiz, the SNF app will not work properly. Rooting your device is fine, but any ROM outside of stock will affect the app.
We are working on version 1.2 of the iOS app, which will be available soon.
Great news! We are awaiting a huge shipment and, after they arrive, domestic orders will be shipped from within the US.
On email responses- we are working extremely hard on answering each and every question and concern. When sending a support email, there will be an automated response asking to allow for 3-5 days to reply. However, our goal is to answer within 24 hours and we are doing our best at achieving it. Our support team is small right now, but we are in the process of expanding the team and training them properly.
There has been many comments and questions about details on the SNF Android app. The current app supports Samsung Galaxy S3, S3 Mini and Note 2. The Android app will only work on unmodified Galaxy S3, S3 Mini and Note 2 running Touchwiz as it relies on Samsung Bluetooth libraries. Stock Android does not, at this moment, support Bluetooth Low Energy(BLE). However, Google I/O is coming up in May and there is rumbling of an announcement concerning BLE, especially since Google Glass possess BLE.

The Stick-N-Find Android App:
We are implementing a firmware update for all stickers, that would enable the stickers to go to sleep when connected to a Samsung phone (YAY!).
After months of Beta testing, we found that the batteries are being emptied much faster on the Android platform than on iOS platforms such as the iPhone 4S of 5. The phone is supposed to command the stickers connected to go into a deep sleep mode, and in most cases this happens. In some cases on Android, however, this doesn't happen and the battery gets drained. Because this issue is inconsistent, it was difficult for us to identify right away. We now have a fix that requires a firmware upgrade to the stickers. The good news is that it can be done over the air, so when we release the Android App to the market, users will be able to update their stickers through the Stick-N-Find App.The Stick-N-Find iOS App:There are some known bugs such as Leash reposts. Over the last two weeks our team has been working on this as well as on the overall stability of the iOS App. This is now ready and iOS version 1.2 has been released for App Store approval today. You will also notice the addition of multi-language support for iOS, so we end the week on a high note!

Hi Finders,We have been reading the comments and wanted to address them. The StickNFind product is compatible with devices that support Bluetooth 4.0, Bluetooth Low Energy, and operate on Android 4.1. The SNF app is, currently, supports the Samsung S3, S3 Mini and Note 2. We are working hard to gain compatibility with the other manufacturers' devices across the Android ecosystem. We, in no way, are misrepresenting, conning nor scamming our supporters. The StickNFind product is still in the pre-release stages. Thanks,The StickNFind Team

Frank, our Mechanical Engineer just left NY, on his way to the factory in China. He will check the Injection Molding tool for StickNFind. We should have first Off-tool samples next week. He will be there, making sure T1 samples are perfect, and to make needed changes to the Tool, in preparation for pre-mass production run.
Got today another batch of pre-production samples, with T1 Tooling, and new low power BT chipset selected for production. After 2 hours, we had 5 samples up and running.
