Decided to have a quick play around with a tool I bought on kickstarter a couple of weeks before Christmas; SpriteLamp. Although it was advertised as a sprite generation/lighting tool for games, it seemed like a great way to experiment with different lighting setups for simply painting with. I think I need to play around more with the lighting profiles, but for a test run, I'm pretty happy with it. Time for something completely different.

A few months ago I made myself a random item generator. A couple of days ago it occured to me that I could do exactly the same thing with creatures, generating random combinations of creature ideas and attempting to paint them. So I did. And here it is:

I might use this more and more often as I attempt to experiment with different compositions (something I tend to be less free to do with stickpics). I’ve also got plans to add a lot more combos to the generator, so the variation of ideas should be immense and more importantly, as silly as possible.
