um hi! i just wanted to say this post is partially misinformation on @dookiediamonds part! it’s not only autistic people that are visually stimulated by this, actually anyone can stim! and lots of people can experience asmr from this.

so to the people saying things like ^^ above, or saying you might be autistic, please stop! this is not an exclusively autistic thing, and assuming autism is as simple as that is harmful to the community.

please be careful with your words! and @ all of the people saying rude things about this post, you can simply get xkit and block it and never see it again. please be respectful of people’s coping mechanisms. thank you!

i hope people will reblog this so it can get around also, because this post blew up and this misinformation is being spread around when it shouldn’t be. it’s not as simple as that. still thank you to @dookiediamonds for your explanation, it was just not as fleshed out as it needed to be, which is okay.

response to some asks

hey, so i have been inactive for about a year. i just checked my asks and saw people informing me i had promoted a blog that was into ageplay and apparently did some bad stuff recently (it was 11 months ago that i promo’d them, i have deleted the post after checking the blog and seeing these asks) i want you all to know that i would never intentionally promote a blog that could trigger some people without putting warnings first, i want you to know that when i promoted this blog, it was clean and new so there was no evidence of anything triggering there. people have expressed how i did something wrong by ‘not checking’ the blog first when actually, it was safe at the time.

however, i did still do wrong by being inactive and having the post up in the mean time, if i had seen the asks sooner, maybe i could have prevented people seeing the blog. i am incredibly sorry if i caused any harm to anyone by having that promo still up while i was inactive and my site traffic was still relatively high considering my absence.

thank you to the people who let me know that the blog was unsafe, and a big thank you to those who didn’t jump to conclusions about me and who i am as a person because of this

Thanks to anon, I recently discovered that the brand “Kinetic Sand” aka the most popular and accessible kind of kinetic sand that you can find at most drug stores and target/walmarts supports and is partnered with Autism $peaks. Warning do not watch the video. It has extremely ableist/anti autism quotes.

With that being said here are some recipes to make your own.

There are hundreds of other recipes and videos available online! Just google kinetic sand recipe.

I haven’t found that many other retailers yet who sell it besides Brookstone who also support Autism $peaks. Michaels.com and select stores also has the Michael’s brand Creatology Kinetic Sand. Make sure it says Creatology because they also sell the Kinetic Sand Brand.

Also the brand “Cra Z Sand” also has a version of kinetic sand! You can find that on Amazon and Walmart.com.

Also, I do sell and make my own kinetic sand on my etsy shop in small quantities. I am thinking of making bigger bags for sale if people are interested so let me know! Don’t feel bad if you have bought sand from the Kinetic Sand brand before, I admit I have, but in the future be more careful and educate others on why not to support this brand.
