Character Moodboard: Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf)
âIâm 147 pounds of pale skin and fragile bone, okay? Sarcasm is my only defense.â
Happy Halloweek!   âłA Nogitsune Moodboard
lydicxmartin:
âWill we though?â Because people and friends moved on from one another after high school, granted there werenât many kids in high school that went through quite the same ordeal as what they did, but it could happen. It had been what Stiles had been afraid of at first and they all reassured him that it wasnât going to happen, but then he was first to leave and the amount they saw him became less and less. âIf it never changed how you felt then why suggest the break up in the first place, long distance was working, at least for me it was.â Because Lydia never saw herself as a needy person, she enjoyed her own space and her own time and didnât feel the need to be attached to the hip of the person she was dating constantly. âDo you though, because I donât think you do, Stiles. I think youâre trying to get it, but I think youâre still struggling to see that I love you and that I would have done anything to make this work. After all those years, watching me go from Jackson to Aiden, you waited patiently. It was my turn to wait and I was fine with it. We canât go from what we were to friends so easily, it takes work- weâve seen that it takes work.â Lydia commented, because Stiles was smart about most things, but it seemed when it came to this he was a little blindsided. âI think you need to work out what you want out of this whether the break up was temporary or whether you just want friendship, itâs the only way we can start to rebuild this.â
Stiles nodded his head. âI believe we honestly will.â And he didnât think anything would change his mind on that. He would do everything he could to retain their close friendship and everything they had. He loved the girl and that wasnât going to change. âLyd...â He began, taking hold of the girls hands for a moment. âI know right then you were happy with how things were going but I didnât want you to resent me for keeping you from having the best experience you could because you were tied down.â Heâd seen how that had affected some of his friends at the college and he couldnât bear the thought of going through that with her. Still, it was one of the rare times that he fell silent when Lydia said she didnât think he did understand. He made a slight sound of frustration, running a hand through his hair before dropping it to his side.Â
lydicxmartin:
Lydia bit her tongue for a moment before she couldnât anymore, when it came to people she could lie to, Stiles wasnât one of them. For some reason the truth always made itself known to the other man and she hated that he could have that kind of hold on her, âI forgot-⊠When I saw you and I ran after you, the hug, the holding, I forgot for a moment that we were no longer us.â She confessed to the other, crossing her arms tightly over her chest. âAll I could think about was how glad I was to see you, to have not lost you again, to still be able to tell you I-..â She paused, shaking her head because the other knew what she had wanted to tell him. âThen you telling me you hadnât noticed, that itâs not like we spoke everyday, I remembered. And itâs still-.. hard. And being with you, staying with you, I would keep on forgetting and remembering hurts too much.â Because she was still revelling in the heartbreak. âSo I think one night may be best for the sake of both of us and the friendship we still have left.â
âLyd... Weâll always be us.â He told her softly, understanding where the difficulty came from though. Heâd always found it easy to fall into a certain step with the red head but she was more sensitive than him in some ways. In the fact that she couldnât be how they were without some discomfort on her part. âAnd having said what we did... going off to college, I told you, it never changed how I felt about you even for a moment.â But he had to think about both of them, to allow them both to have the best experience they could. He didnât want to be the one holding the vivacious red head back. She had too much to experience and he knew she would do anything for him. âBut if thatâs how you feel... i get that. On my side at least, the friendship will always be thick. I will always be there for you Lydia.â
lydicxmartin:
âSomething he loved, Iâm sure.â Lydia said with a small smile, because she missed Jackson, they had spent so much time together and it wasnât just a relationship, it was friendship and she had loved him with all her heart. Even when he was a class A jerk. With the others words hitting her ears and the way his hand slipped into her own Lydia was met with a stark reality, they werenât Stiles and Lydia anymore, not like they had been, not like before. She had felt so overcome with emotion when she had first seen the other in this unfamiliar place that she had forgotten for a moment. This boy next to her, she loved him, she loved him so much that it hurt sometimes and when the break up came- she wasnât prepared. She had smiled through it, telling the other she felt the same, that the distance was too much, but it was a lie- she just didnât want to cause the other any grief. So instead she waited until she was back home before she cried and let herself feel the pain of heartbreak for the third time in her life. She slipped her hand out of the others, âRight. Of course. Hey-.. I just thought, maybe staying at your place wasnât the best idea I had. One night for sure, but tomorrow, I should probably go back to the place that is supposedly mine.â
There was a sudden change in the atmosphere between them and that bothered Stiles. Through everything, heâd never stopped caring for Lydia or loving her and as he had told her, heâd always believed that if they were meant to be together they would find one another again. That was something he still trusted in even now but he understood that perhaps she didnât feel the same. âI think it is a good idea. We need to stick together in a strange world like this and Iâd feel more at ease with you nearby but Iâm not going to make you.â Heâd just handle it himself and hope that some of the rest of the gang appeared so he didnât feel so out of place.
whollyjack:
Wintervale? Jack wondered. Was that close to the bunker? He was still incredibly confused as to what had happened. Or more importantly, how and why it happened. Nevertheless, Jack was comforted by the fact that at least he wasnât alone in this weird endeavor. The stranger in front of him was trying to figure it out too. The stranger had even said âweâ which Jack assumed meant there were others besides them as well. âIâm okay. Just confused, thatâs all.â He answered. âMy name is Jack, by the way.â
âI think confused is like... a thing around here.â He admitted, a smile on his face. âNice to meet you Jack; Iâm Stiles.â The brunette introduced, clapping him on the back lightly. âWelcome to the nuthouse.â He had no more of an idea about what was going on here than the boy in front of him which was why he felt it was important that they all stick together. âWhere have you come from anyway?â
âNothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.â (LMM)
@im2old4thisotp and I went back to Beacon Hills High School, and we couldnât resist.Â
Jack shuffled his feet along the dirt path. He had been walking down a hiking trail for what felt like hours. He had no idea where he was, and he didnât have a phone to call someone with. He felt tears brim his eyes as his frustration grew. âWhere am I?â Jack voiced his thoughts. He worried that he would be lost forever. His wings were gone, which made the possibility of being stuck there forever seem very real. It wasnât until he looked up and saw someone looking back at him that he felt hope that maybe, just maybe, everything would be okay.
âWintervale, Dude.â Stiles informed him, looking at him with a little bit of sympathy. âTrust me; weâve all been there you know. Not quite knowing where we are, trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Canât really answer anything other than that right now but itâs not for want of trying.â Because he and Lydia had been trawling the books trying to figure this all out but they hadnât really made so much as a dent so far. âAre you alright?â
lydicxmartin:
âOh yeah, is that so? You mean you never said anything bad about him behind his back? Never glared at him from across the table?â She questioned the other, because she knew that was the truth, Stiles never seemed to be the biggest fan of Jackson and she guessed she knew why that was the case now. âLetâs do it.â She agreed, a small, yet cautious smile on her face as she stood waiting for the other before walking in the direction of the store. âSo-.. you got here after me, was I gone for long back home. Or was it only a few days? I guess we can judge whether or not there is a time lapse between worlds.â
âWell I never said I didnât do those things, I just said I didnât really have an issue with saying things to his face either.â He pointed out, clasping their hands together and walking with Lydia. âHonestly? I donât know Lyd. I mean, Iâve been off at college and then boom, Iâm here so I couldnât be certain of the amount of time youâve been AWOL for.â
lydicxmartin:
âAnd yet no one did, because he was hot and popular.â And if you were in with Jackson you were envied by the rest of the school and for some reason thatâs all she had wanted back then, a hot guy to date, some fun and to be the popular girl. At the mention of food Lydiaâs stomach rumbled, she couldnât remember the last time she had ate. âI think I found a supermarket close by, itâs late and we should probably just find something quick to make. We can research as we eat.â
âUh, I think youâll find I had no real problem with that.â Stiles answered with a smirk on his lips, finding it only grew when he heard the womanâs stomach making grumbling sounds. âThat sounds like a plan.â To be honest, in the midst of all of this chaos, it was nice to do something so normal. âLetâs do this then!â
chrisxargcnt:
âyeah, letâs not talk about those days.â he murmurs, before he was just staring at stiles, waiting for him to get to the point chris needed him to get to. âwoke up here where? just in a random place? i donât know, thatâs what iâm going to find out. there might be a sign letting us know that. might go to the library look up the archives.â
âI wasnât exactly going to chat about the old days.â He pointed out, heâd simply been saying that it was good to see him. Right now it was good to see anyone from his world. âI woke up in some strange house in a bed I donât know. Obviously the first thing I did was come running out to find out where the hell I was only to find out I donât recognise any of it.â He explained, a frown on his lips. Stiles hated being out of the loop on anything. âYeah, that was what I was thinking though mostly I was just looking for some of the guys first.â Familiar faces were important to him, especially considering he knew what it was like to be in a place without them all.
xhalederek:
âa friend that is excited iâm human instead of realizing i might not like being human, or feeling like myself?â he asks him, hearing his next words, derek was shaking his head. âwould you be acting like this if your best friends werenât feeling like themselves? like apart of them was missing? iâm not in the mood, stiles.â
âIâm sorry Derek.â Stiles admitted softly. âYou should know me by now; terrible timing with the jokes.â He explained, giving a little shrug. âAnd no, probably not but then you have always been... so stone faced and pissed at me, I guess I was taking an opportunity whilst I could get it. Might have made the situation lighter for me but I guess I didnât really consider you.â At least he was being honest about it. âSeriously now though, weâll figure this out.â
lydicxmartin:
âI prefer her too, trust me it was a lot of effort to try and act like I didnât have a clue. Especially when there were many things that came out of Jacksonâs mouth that I wanted to correct.â She had simply sat there, smiled, laughed, twirled her hair and all whilst in her head she was coming up with so many comebacks though she always bit her tongue. âWe should also try and see if anyone else made it here, Scott, Liam, Malia or Derek. At this point Iâd even settle for Peter.âÂ
âI think there were things that came out of Jacksonâs mouth that everyone wanted to correct Lyd.â Stiles pointed out with a smirk, giving her a gentle squeeze. âWell do you want to do that tonight or just head back to the house for now? We could try and find a good food place or stay in and cook something healthy.â Heâd gotten used to doing that for his Dad.
xhalederek:
he heard stiles words and if he could growl he would, instead derekâs hands turned into fists as he looked at stiles. âdo you really have to ask that?â he asks him, shaking his head before he was continuing to walk in the direction they were walking in. stiles getting all excited that derek was now a weak human he could pull around acting like he could hit him and not break his own hand. it was insensitive, and uncalled for, but he wasnât going to get into it, he was keeping his mouth shut. âlets just find your friends, so i can go my own way.â
There was a moments pause before it seemed to register with Stiles. He wasnât stupid but sometimes he knew he could be a little unaware. âNo, I guess I donât.â He answered, offering up an apologetic smile. âHey dude; you are my friend. Youâre pack so youâre stuck with me. You know, weâll figure this out right? Weâve been in worse situations than this and come out on top. Youâll get your wolfy powers back... all fur, teeth and claws and grrr.â He half mimicked softly.
lydicxmartin:
âThere was always something there though and I donât think I was much help before Peter bit me, I was the dumb popular girl wanting the attention from cute guyâs remember?â Because looking back now it was embarrassing, to think she put on an act so Jackson would love her, she should have just been who she was and cared less about what he thought. She had grown since then, she liked herself more now then she ever did back then. âMind if I stay with you- Iâd rather surround myself with things that are familiar then be alone in a place thatâs so foreign.â Lydia sighed and tugged at the hand that held Stiles, walking over to a bench and sitting down. âLetâs try and make a little sense of all this, it might make us feel better if we have some knowledge.â
âWell you were a help, in your own way.â At least to him anyway. Just seeing Lydia had helped Stiles but then he had been head over heels for her for years. âI prefer smart Lydia though, the one who doesnât hide for anyone and is proud to show who she is.â Heâd always seen that, in his own way. When Lydia asked if she could stay with him, he nodded his head. Honestly, it was a bit of a relief given he didnât know this area either and he felt much more comfortable with her there. âI know, we should probably stick together until we figure out what is going on here...â
xhalederek:
he couldnât help the eye roll that he was giving stiles now, knowing without the other part of him derek could still knock stiles out, and the kid was pushing his luck to get just that. it felt weird, he felt like there was a giant hole inside of him, a place where a part of him was, now there was nothing. stiles would never get it, and he wasnât about to explain it to him, not when he was acting this way. âmore like you know i can still kick your ass.â he tells him, before stiles did the wrong thing and grab his leather jacket. he didnât use more than human strength when handling stiles, and again he wasnât using it now for obvious reasons. his hand gripped at stilesâ wrist, pulling his hand off of his jacket, before he was pushing stiles hard, in front of him. âstop talking.â he snaps not wanting to get into it with him.
Stiles made a small sound, grinning anyway though he did stall in his tracks when the hand grabbed at his wrist. He twisted around to look at the other man with a questioning look, only to be shoved back, sending him stumbling a few steps. âRelax Der, itâs not like I was attacking you. What the hell is wrong with you?â He asked, sensing something was off.Â
