                              happy 2019, camp stillwater!

although camp stillwater has been closed since the end of summer, our staff would like to wish our counselors, campers, and the family of campers a happy 2019! we hope that you all had an amazing holiday season and are hopeful that the new year will bring us all joy.

our very special graduated counselor, mimi durand, decided to make a playlist of songs that reminded her of camp stillwater and decided to share it with you! you can find the playlist here. if you’re ever missing the chilly lake water, the excitement of move-in day, or the general stillwater experience, we highly recommend that you give it a listen!

        good morning, all! we hope that everyone has been doing well these past couple weeks. we have a long overdue announcement to make – STILIWATERHQ WILL BE GOING ON HIATUS. our hearts cannot contain the amount of love we have for this group, but we are simply struggling to find the time for it. admin honey is currently preparing for a big move and admin peaches is about to start school and is at the peak of her athletic season. we have noticed that our members have struggled to find the time for this group too. this was a hard decision to make, but we think it is for the better. 

       as with a regular hiatus, there will be no activity requirements and we will not be updating the main. we will be leaving the discord chat up in case anyone wants to use it and the dash will always be here if anyone would like to continue threads.  

       we finally would like to thank all of you for all of the joy you have brought to our lives. the two of us were just small town girls with a big dream when creating this group, and you all exceeded our expectations. we love all of you dearly and cannot thank you enough for your hard work and dedication to our little group. camp stillwater will always hold a place in our hearts and we hope it will in yours too.

     we just quickly wanted to stop by and say that us admins are here for you! this group would not be thriving without its members and we cannot commend you all enough for your hard work and dedication. thus, we want to make sure that our members are happy. please do not be shy with approaching an admin! even if you have the tiniest of issues, we'll be here to hear to you. if needed, you are also welcome to send us an ask on anon. see something on the dash that is triggering to you or need something to be added to the triggers list? we’ve got you. feel that we could be doing something better as admins? let us know and we’ll see what we can do. we would not be here today without you all and one of our biggest priorities as admins is to make sure that everyone is safe and happy.

           midsummer lights dance has officially started!

we’re so happy to announce that our third event has officially started! feel free to start dropping open and closed starters centered around this event! if you need some ideas, your muse could be chaperoning the dance, asking another to the dance, helping prepare for the lights ceremony, partying at the counselor after party, and even looking back on past midsummer lights weekends (feel free to have flashback threads)!

if you post any starters or graphics, playlists, etc. inspired by the event, make sure to use the tag “stillwater:event3”! we can’t wait to see your creations.

our blind date pairings will be released at 10am mst! if anyone has any last minute submissions and needs a date after then, talk to an admin directly and we’ll see what we can do!

just a small reminder of our task! although it’s optional, it is highly encouraged! the task is to simply list some wishes that your character would like to come true and write a little backstory or explanation for each – the wishes can be for this summer, or a retrospective on your characters’ past midsummer lights lantern releases. if you do the task, we ask that you have at least five wishes. if you complete the task, make sure to tag it as “stillwatertask:6” – feel free to get creative – add a graphic, manip, playlist, or gifset to really spice it up, if you’d like.
