After dinner, Charlotte had a very important question for Mara.
Charlotte: So...I don’t know how to do this but.. want to like, date? Be official? You and me?
Mara: Oh wow Charlotte...jeeze...yes of course!
Charlotte: Are you serious? I have a girlfriend? I’ve never had a girlfriend before!
Mara: I’m going to be the best girlfriend ever!

Charlotte: Sorry babe. You know my grandpa was the spice champion in San Myshuno years ago?
Oscar found Charlotte outside.
Oscar: Are you happy kiddo?
Charlotte: Yes Dad, I think I am.
Mara: Oh! Strange man in the kitchen!
Oscar: You must be Mara. I’m Oscar, I’m Charlotte’s dad.
Mara: Oh! I’ve heard so much about you.
Oscar: I’ve heard so much about you! I heard you were headed to Sulani. On my honeymoon I almost got crushed by a volcano rock in Sulani. Ask Charlotte.
A beautiful summer’s evening.
The next morning
Mara: So.. I know I was supposed to be heading to Sulani..
Charlotte: Well, I think I’d rather you didn’t. Not because I want you around. I want Tofu.
Mara: Of course. Well, I planted a garden in the back. You had planters out there sitting empty.
Charlotte: I know. We had them at my family’s place too but we never did anything with them.
Mara: When do I get to meet this giant family of yours?
Charlotte: My dad said he might stop by later. And maybe I’ll set up a day for everyone to come over.
Mara: Charlotte! Tofu is back!
Charlotte: Ahhh! Thank goodness!
Mara: I’m so happy!
....
Charlotte: Oh wow, Mara...
Mara: Oh crap, I’m sorry-
Charlotte: No wait, come here
But then, just hours after he went missing, look who came running back!
Mara: Tofu! I was so worried about you! Don’t you ever go running off again. We better get you a bath, come on.
To distract herself from worrying about Tofu all day, Mara played with little baby Olive who remains the cutest kitten I’ve ever had in the sims 4.
A few days later
Mara: Have you seen Tofu? I can’t find him anywhere...I’m going to post a missing pet notice.
Charlotte: I’m sure he’s okay. There’s nothing in Newcrest that could hurt him.
When they returned home, Tofu was swimming, which is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen
Charlotte: So what were you going to do in Sulani?
Mara: I was going to visit some friends. I just got out of a pretty rough relationship so I thought maybe the sun would help..
Charlotte: I think the sun would just burn you to a crisp Mara.
The next day was Saturday, and since the clinic was closed on weekends, Charlotte and Mara headed out for breakfast.
Charlotte: Thanks for breakfast, I haven’t been out in a long time.
Mara: Oh my goodness, it’s the least I can do! You’ve been so nice to me.
Charlotte: Well we’re friends right? What are friends for?
Charlotte finally got home around 11 pm.
Mara: Do you usually get home at this time?
Charlotte: Usually a little earlier, but today was crazy. I had to chase a cat around for a few hours.
Mara: Well, there’s a stupid cheesy romance movie I was going to watch seeing as its Love Day, wanna join?
It was a good thing Charlotte hired another vet for the clinic. Because that day was a nightmare, especially when Charlotte had to run after a scared cat that took up residence on a nearby picnic table.
Mara: Thank you so much for letting me and Tofu crash. I really appreciate it.
Charlotte: Oh no worries. I would hate to think a woman was out all night alone. Look, I have to go to the clinic, but feel free to like..do whatever around here. Newcrest is pretty small so there’s not much to do but... I have a pool, and a tv, and a computer so..
Mara: Is there anyway I could do something for you? I can clean or garden or something? Anything?
Charlotte: Don’t even worry about it. I gotta go, make yourself at home okay?
Tofu settled right in the first night.
