My son had a dream that someone put online that they were in our house, but then we couldn’t find them. Legitimately scary dream.

I can’t get myself to do anything. I wish I could call someone for help, but there’s not really a service that provides immediate help for this.

You don’t see programmers in movies tapping tab or ctlr-r nearly as often as I actually do IRL. They’re just like typing. Is this your first time using the terminal and you have nothing in your directories? Are you typing everything rather than doing history or completion? You’re not using keyboard shortcuts?

Every once in a while, I think about how one of the kittens we fostered went on to become a bodega cat in NYC. I feel like this is a very prestigious cat position, and I’m really proud of her. I think I’ll go visit her soon.

I can hear my dog walking around on the floor above me, and I think she’s up to no good. I’ll let her be, though. Sometimes it’s good to be a little naughty. There’s nothing that can really hurt her.

I just got my nails done yesterday, what should I do today? Need to stay motivated. Oh yes, manual labor, good idea brain.

One of my black cats is stealth itself. He is up on the neighbors roof. He is removing individual q-tips from the container on my (very cluttered) dresser without making a sound or touching a single other item. He is slithering into the bottom-most of a stack of empty boxes then pulling the box above him to be lined up perfectly again. He is jumping from the cat tree over the cat wall onto the windowsill. My other black cat is an amorphous blob who makes maximum noise going down the perfectly normal stairs.

One time I was waiting for the subway, and a rat carrying a whole slice of pizza scurried down the track and towards a hole in the wall that was probably about a foot and a half high. He tried to jump into the hole, but couldn’t make it due to holding an entire slice of pizza. He kept trying it from different angles, holding the pizza differently, even ate a little of the pizza then tried again. Everyone on the platform was watching him, it seemed. No one was overtly cheering him on, but you could hear the “ah ah awww” each time he’d look like he was going to jump and make it but then didn’t. I never know if that rat made it home with his pizza, because my train came before he did. That might be the most New York experience I’ve had. Not just the rat, but everyone lowkey rooting for him.

I am waiting to hear that Ukraine has a perfected the EPFCG that Soviet (read: Ukrainian) scientists were working on, and therefore has a clean fusion-only nuclear weapons.

My boyfriend seemed very interested to know about my day on Saturday. Why did it take longer than usual to walk your dog, baby? I started telling him about our adventures in detail only to have him stop me with “no, it’s ok, I believe you.” Then I realized he was asking because he was jealous I was meeting with someone else, and once he saw how genuine I was he didn’t need to hear more. His loss that he doesn’t get to know all about the new trail they added at the dog park, which street it exits at, the research I did about he organization behind it afterwards and the volunteering I plan to do. I need to stop confusing jealousy with caring, this has happened in past relationships as well. Today, a friend told me that I need to watch out for repeating past patterns in relationships, unrelated to this incident. Anyway, it’s going to be a really nice dog trail.
