Finally I just want to thank all these insanely fantastic individuals for an AMAZING week. This has been the experience of a lifetime, and it has been a non-stop roller coaster of tears, hard work, so so so much laughter and last but not least, this profound amount of unconditional LOVE!

Thank you guys, you are the best! ❤️

We will continue our work from home with Salam LADC Sweden, and hopefully be back before the summer ends.

In the afternoon we distributed the rest of the wood, and also 4000 diapers and 100 boxes of babymilk. The gratitude was breathtaking, and more hugs and kisses was recived upon the arrival.

We began the day with a morning briefing, and the logistics to hand out 6 tons of wood. The return to the settlement with all the children was a dear one, and a lot of hugs and kisses went back and forth. It was difficult to leave, but the day was not over.

Later in the afternoon med managed to get some chill time, so we took a walk in a park nearby with some surrounding wine fields, and we also got to play in the woods a bit.

On the last stop of our distribution we ended up rather close to the Syrian border. We were based in the town of Chtaura, and was now east of Ghazze, only a few km from the border. Standing there we could hear a few bursts of gunfire from across, but not enough to tell the distance or the size of the guns. The carpets and the last bags of wood was handed out, and we even had time to build a work bench when we got back.

Handing out pesticides to the camp leaders, and having an amazing play time session with a large group of excited children. An important moment for the children, aswell as for all the adults. Including ourselves! We then went back to the house to regroup and pack for the distribution. Some clothes, carpets, and a few tons of wood was going out.

Same day, and a lot of new wonderful people, and at the same time we got the first look of some of the larger settlements.

The first active day in Bekaa. Such a beautiful place, and such catastrophic conditions for the people living in the settlements here.

The obligatory golden beverage before takeoff. In 10 hours we’ll be in Beirut, and tomorrow morning we’ll go by car to Bekaa Valley and begin our work. Salam.

Me and my friend Simon decided to go to Lebanon and help out at the refugee camps in the Bekaa Valley. During the past weeks, we’ve gathered almost 65 000 SEK (~ 6500€) We now have less than a week to go, and the nerves are getting worse. During this trip I will upload mostly pictures, but also some brief information about our work and the people we meet.

Listo. The trip is over. I got to see a wonder of the world, challenge myself, meet amazing people, get a decent tan, and I’m still kickin’. I would like to thank all the people on this trip that made it so enjoyable. Everyone at Kokopelli in Paracas, my main man Acdie in Cusco, gracias por todo, nos vemos en Estocolmo. And last but not least, the whole Salkantay crew, you know who you are. El Penedor dice Gracias!

But especially, I would like to thank the happy couple Carlita y Robin in Lima, for all the help, the food and bed to stay in, and most of all your love. Ustedes son mis pedos favoritos!
