Hannibal strokes Clarice’s finger in the movie, but it’s vise versa in the book, and I feel like this is something they’ll always tease the other about because they can’t quite remember who initiated the touch in the first place.

I'm riding a bus to KC and this dude in a navy sweatshirt sits down next to me.... I listen to my music for about an hour and a half until I notice he's reading Hannibal Rising- so I do the terrible thing where you interrupt someone from their reading- but bonding over Hannibal is Important so I did... He found the books thru watching all the movies. Now .pdfs to the other 3 books are in his inbox. (he'll be watching NBC's Hannibal as well)

I feel like the passage of time has given ‘Hannibal 1999’ an incredibly SAD context Hannibal and Clarice are not a perfect couple They both seem to mutually respect each other and /believe/ to understand each other (there’s a lot that we see that they don’t know about each other, that would quite clearly lead to conflicts down the road) Yes Hannibal and Clarice are not a perfect couple They’re not even that good for each other in a sense, both are far too stubborn to learn from the other’s differences But they ARE the best that each other is ever going to get. And that alone will cause them to cling to each other for the rest of their lives. Which is incredibly depressing.

How anyone could read anything by or about Thomas Harris and not come to the conclusion he’s autistic is beyond me.

Like it’s been a year since i read the books but I distinctly remember there’s sooo much infodumping, and extreme attention to details that are actually pretty irrelevant, and then there’s all the years of obsessive research he did and the lengths he went to, I mean man he was really fucking special-interest-level devoted I swear. He’s also always been a reclusive introvert (which I know isn’t indicative of autism but come on now), also the way his friends talk about him and his writing process seals the deal. And you can’t tell me an allistic is responsible for all that and more, as well as the stunningly accurate representations that are Hannibal, Clarice, Will, etc.
