one blink. two. another for good measure. tendrils lightly shadowing her cheeks as she glared at him. she had hoped he could feel the burn of her stare through those thick, black shades of hers. “ i know that the glasses hide one of the most important features to reading someone — windows to the soul and all ... ” lips pursed as she paused, thinking on the next words to leave her mouth. “ but i'm very serious. and slightly offended that you couldn't tell. ” vermillions were formed into a pout, skillfully performed in a manner that demonstrated her point while also emphasizing its lightheartedness. there was a flair of childishness that rested within her, brought out to the surface in his presence — perhaps she never found it safe enough to be so vulnerable. not that she was, not that she'd ever allow herself to be, but it was nice play the part. “ i can't fight well if my hands are frozen. and cramping. and in pain. i already run cold. ” the lack of layers was certainly of no help, but she'd sacrificed comfort for fashion — and she'd do so again and again. slender digits wiggled once more in his direction. “ i can say please ? ”

how easily he is influenced by a pretty girl with a princess attitude. his mouth forms into a soundless 'oh' as she promises her earnestness. there is some part of him that wants to scold her for her choices, make some sardonic comments about not bringing a jacket, yet all that happens as her fingers twinkle toward him is a heavy sigh and an overly exaggerated rolling of his eyes. within a moment, however, his larger hands are cupping around her own. cold digits brought together betwix the warmth of his own. “ you know, normally people just say the please, they don't offer to say it. ” complaints fall out of his mouth but his hands are still rubbing warmth over her own. a complete juxtaposition playing out in real time. “ do you want my jacket too, or is it going to ruin your outfit? ” okay, perhaps one slight jab about her choices.
