Bryson had managed to sneak off a few hours ago to go visit her father before the chaos with Wade was to begin. While she was gone she stopped and got her hair and nails done with the check he provided. She tip toed into the room as best she could in her heels. “Alright, it’s time to get you cleaned up. I don’t need you failing inspection and your mom sniffing out our arrangement.” The new tightly curled fro she was sporting matured her in a good way. “Sorry if I sent you into a panic. I had to visit someone before everything got crazy and I had to make myself presentable.” It was obvious before she lost everything she kept herself up. “Well, rise and shine, I already took in upon myself to get an appointment for this mane of yours.” She was honestly mesmerized by the amount of hair he had growing from his scalp. “I already spoke to Zoe and she promised to just clean up the ends and your facial hair.” The young woman knew she was probably overstepping her boundaries or talking too much but he asked her to make this whole thing believable; she wasn’t stopping until she succeeded.
When he still didn’t say much she sighed softly and took a seat. “I hope you didn’t assume I took the money and ran,” she laughed. He knew her name, first and last, and if he really wanted to he could have reported that she ‘broke into’ his hotel room. Why would she run?
wade was up bright and early as usual that morning. he had savoured the few hours alone in his hotel room. in all honesty, he still hadn’t grown accustomed to the idea of having to share everything with someone else, even if just for pretend. wade had always been a private, independent person. the thought of setting that aside was a bit unsettling, but if he wanted to sell the idea of a happy and healthy relationship to his mother then he needed to overcome it all. he’d gotten into the shower and threw on one of his more casual outfits to reserve the day for whatever it was bryson had in mind. as soon as she walked in, he couldn’t help but straighten his posture. “no worries. i’ve been awake for a while.” he alerted, eyes widening slightly when she had told him that she had planned his haircut today.
“yeah, i guess a trim wouldn’t hurt.” he shrugged his shoulders. he had to admit, he wasn’t exactly expecting bryson to agree to their arrangement. if it had been him in her position, he would have probably skipped town with the money. “i had my doubts that you’d stay,” he admitted, knowing honesty would be integral if they wanted to seem like a believable couple. “but i’m glad you did. i don’t think i could have found anyone better for the job.” he said, offering her the tiniest of smiles. “i was just about to dial up room service. are you hungry?”
