To think that an older alternate of himself would actually go to such lengths, just to be reunited with their own Noriaki Kakyoin…]

[He almost wonders if he would end up doing the same, were he in his shoes. But, in the end, he doesn’t want to think about such things, especially not now, and not after the promise he’s made to his.]

I wouldn’t put it past that Valentine to make an offer like that. I can never get a read on that man—I mean, in the end, you’re at least happy you’re with your Noriaki again, aren’t you? But at the same time…

Was it worth it to make a deal with someone like Valentine?

「 ℐℐ✩ 」― Silence fell upon them like a blanket, the pressure and tension of the metaphoric fabric being light against the vanpire's shoulders. Thinking about his actions, he couldn't feel any regret, or something similar to human shame. Nothing. Not a trace. Jotaro would do such a thing over and over again, for his Noriaki --the man he loved and that died right in front of his arms, the ghost who drove him crazy and accused Jotaro to be the cause of him being unable to move on, the man who was with him at the aquarium the night of the redhead's birthday, a simple wedding ring being placed on his finger as the marriage proposal fell from the biologist's lips so easily.

― No, not a single trace of regret. Finally, everything seemed to go swimmingly after his wake from the coma. . . and he would sharpen his claws and fangs in order to defend the happiness and the family he rebuilt with such important sacrifices.

― « We're happy. He had to get used to his condition as a living being once again, as well as I had to get used to my new undead senses, after all. I still remember how hard he punched me when we woke up the first night of our new existence. » He found himself chuckling softly at the memory, before bringing once again his red hues on the dull ones of the sightless alternate. « To be honest --he came to me and discussed with me about the possibility to bring him back to life. Of course the whole becoming a vampire wasn't something I expected --but in the end he revealed himself a man who keeps his word, since now we're reunited thanks to him. It was worth it --and I think I will do that again without even thinking twice. »

Well, I’m not gonna lie to you and say that he wouldn’t—I know what kind of guy he is, so I’ll keep quiet on that much. If he asks me specifically, though, I’ll have to. I wouldn’t worry—I doubt he’d ask me something like that.

… I would really think about offering my neck or whatever, but that’s a relief, otherwise. I’ve had too much trouble with vampires I’m not in a relationship with getting bite-happy with me.

― « Like I said, though --there's no need. Mostly because I both tried already to see if I could lower the sense of hunger before asking Noriaki to give me some blood, and because I don't want you to get in trouble for feeding me. »

― « No. » He shook his head, red hues looking away for a moment. « I became a vampire because of a contract I made with Funny Valentine. My Noriaki being revived in exchange of my life and humanity --and vampirism wasn't an option I actually considered when I died in that moment. When I woke up, I was a vampire already --and apparently, the condition Mister Valentine cast upon my head is that my hunger can only be sated by Noriaki's blood. Other people's blood is like water, more or less. »

Probably it will be something done at the shore, or something similar. I have also to see what Noriaki's thinking about it, his ideas and all that jazz. I'd really be happy, though, if you could come. »

― Noticing the other's muscles suddenly tensing like the ones of a deer on alert, Jotaro sighed --nothing but an habit, his lungs unable to filter or contain any trace of air anymore.

― « Your worry is understandable » He uttered, a hand being placed on the man's shoulder, petting it lightly. « But I ain't DIO. I can control myself and I have a family to protect who fills me with love, something he didn't have. Whenever the worst possible scenario may happen and I managed to actually lose control. . . you have the permission to kill me. »

{{Honestly, he had never taken Jotaro for the type of guy to get married again. The first time didn’t go too well, and really, he didn’t picture his nephew as a romantic type of guy. But now that he had a fiance…wait. Noriaki was a guy, right? Oh…oh. Maybe he had been gay all along? He was still trying to puzzle it all out when he was drawn back into the conversation by the comment on not being able to taste food.

After seeing how the other reacted to his vampirism, it was obvious for Jotaro not to immediately spill out about how the deceased redhead has been brought back to life.

― He shook his head, though, at the other's assumption about the whole food thing. « I am not offended for such a thing, Josuke. » He calmly concurred, shrugging a little. « I actually find nice that you seem interested to maintain a bond with me despite. . . what I've become. »
