This was exactly what the former inmate had needed. Loud music, bright lights, a room packed tight with people⊠It was everything she wanted to unwind from her first week on the foreign city. It had been years since sheâd been able to simply enjoy herself with a dark bar and a strong drink and damn did she miss it.
Making her way through the crowd as best she could, she couldnât help the smile that found her lips as her whole body practically vibrated with the pounding bass. A drink was clasped tight in her fingers, her mind doing its best to concentrate on keeping her hand steady to not let it spill, a task that was proving quite difficult despite that she was still mostly sober.
Finally finding an empty space at a small table, the woman dropped herself into it with little grace, letting her drink splash her hands as it landed on the table heavily, paying no care. Her feet were pounding from dancing and all but begging her for a break.
Leaning forward, she rested her elbow against the table, her chin finding rest in her palm. Lost to the atmosphere of the crowded bar she almost missed the chair pulled out beside her. Letting an easy smirk fall on her lips, she kept emerald eyes on the dance floor, trying to play coy with the stranger beside her. Reaching to grasp the straw in her cup between her index finger and thumb she stirred it lightly, finally turning to face the man in question.
âSince you didnât ask if you could take that seat, I should kick you up... But Iâll tell you what! Be a good boy and buy me another drink and Iâll let you sit with me, otherwise buh-byeâÂ

âAhhâŠâ A newcomer, huh? Well, she was glad for the distraction, at least. If no one had come in, she probably would have started playing games herself. Though at least bringing the novel today had been entertaining enough. Still, it wasnât often someone completely new came in. But she would do her job.
Thankfully, the description the other had given was recognizable enough. âDDR? Yeah, weâve got one. Itâs towards the back.â She placed her bookmark in the novel and tucked it under the desk before gesturing for the other girl to follow her. She walked past the other machines and turned the corner. âItâs so thereâs more room for dancing,â she explained, nodding her head at the machine.
âJust so no one accidentally whacks someone with their arm or kicks them.â Admittedly it did sound a little funny, but safety was important, especially when it came to a game like this. âYou can also play against someone if you want, though itâs been pretty slow here today. But playing against the machine is interesting too.â
Not that sheâd played it. She wouldnât be caught dead on it in the event a certain someone decided to bug her at work.Â
Grateful the woman knew what she was talking about, Jolyne followed her through the arcade towards the loud flashing machine at the back of the arcade. It was exactly what sheâd been trying to describe and she couldnât help the grin that filled her features as she looked at it properly. It seemed easy enough, hit your feet on the pad as the arrows go by, donât fail... Any idiot could do this.
Hearing as she said you could play with two people she turned her attention back to the employee, her grin only growing as she turned to lean against the arm-rail of the game, her elbows resting on it as she just eyed the other.
âPlaying against machineâs is boring, thereâs no challenge in that. Play with me? You said yourself itâs slow here today, a few rounds canât hurt you! Please? Iâm new to the city and donât know anyoneâ she asked, jutting her bottom lip out in a pout to try and appeal to this womanâs hopeful softer side.
âIâll treat you to a drink later to make up for it, what do you say?â

âThis is so stupid. Why am I being told to go cool off, while he gets to stay at home?â Chika muttered to himself grumpily. Yet again, his father was being unnecessarily tough on him, even though the boy did everything he could to please him.
There had been a huge argument. Chika had refused to sit at the dinner table because he wasnât that hungry, not to mention the amount of homework he had to do. The boy would much rather use his time to finish all of his tasks, instead of being forced to eat. Then his small declination had turned into Mitsukuni asking if everything was alright, and it all went downhill from that point onward.
Now Chika was walking the streets of Bellevue, unsure of what to do next. A slight breeze passed by, literally cooling the brunet off. He crossed his arms, hugging himself, wishing that he had brought his jacket with him. Even if it was chilly outside, Chika didnât want to go home just yet. That would just result in more drama.
Still lost in thought of why he was the one sent outside, Chika crashed into somebody else. âGet out of my way, thatâs an order!â Why on earth would anybody dare to be in his path, especially when he was in such a foul mood.
Jolyne wasnât in a bad mood. Her stroll through Bellevue that evening had simply been for a lack of something to do. She didnât work a shift that night, and her apartment was so small it felt like she was back in a jail cell if she was cooped up for too long.
She hadnât been sure how long sheâd been walking, but the rather drastic change in scenery was enough to know she wasnât in the shitty run down part of town she called âhomeâ... Not that it mattered, a walk is a walk after all.
Though with the weather only dropping she had just about decided to head back home when she felt herself suddenly crashed into by a much smaller body. Stumbling for her footing she was about to open her mouth to appologize when a rather rude comment beat her to it.
Order? No one ordered her around, not now, not ever. While she still wasnât in a bad mood, she decided this kid needed a lesson taught and no better way to do so then to show the little punk just who had made it through prison multiple times.
âOrder? You think you can order me to do shit? I ate bitches like you for breakfast in the big house, you really think you want to mess with me?â She spat, doing her best not to just crack up laughing, forcing her face to stay locked in itâs threatening glare.

âItâs⊠understandable. Iâm sure anyone would get so worked up, were they in the same situation.â
For the first time, the redhead managed to crack a small smile, more reassuring than anything. In a strange way, her earlier outburst only reminded him even more of Jotaro than her appearance did. Heâd watched the other steadily mellow out over the years, but Noriaki was certainly no stranger to the glimpses of brashness shown when the two had first met.
Message sent and phone tucked away, he reached out to take the hand that was offered to give a polite, brief shake.
âJolyne?â Another Jo? For some reason, he wasnât surprised in the slightest. âMy name is Kakyoin Noriaki. Nice to meet you.â
Releasing her hand in order to turn around, he returned to the living area where he had previously been lounging before Jolyneâs arrival, expecting her to follow after him. TV still playing in the background, he made his way to the door that led to the kitchen area in order to fetch something to drink, only to pause and turn around yet again before entering.
âFeel free to make yourself comfortable. I donât know when Jotaro will return, but it shouldnât take too long.â
Perhaps it would be a good idea to sit down and prepare ones self for his arrival, in the meantime.
Jotaro was at work like always, doing what he was supposed to do. In the middle of his work, he heard his phone vibrate, thus having to stop. He pulled his phone out from his pocket to only see a text message from Kakyoin. He was surprised by the text because it said to come over and it was an emergency, nothing else.
Noriaki..? Is he okay?
Texts like this worries him and with it being his boyfriend, he was really worried. He puts the phone away and grabbed his belongings as quickly as possible. He told one of his coworker that there was an emergency and he needed to leave right away then ran out. He jumped into his car and drove off as quickly as he can, taking some short cuts here and there.
He arrived at their place, got out and ran to the building. He took the stairs, not taking long for him to get to their room and not even bothering to check if the door is unlocked or not, he kicked it open, getting ready to fight someone. âNORIAKI ARE YOU O..kay..?â He blinked at the fact that there was someone else in his and his boyfriendâs place and that everything looked fine.
â..What..?â
At the request of her fatherâs boyfriend, Jolyne simply nodded, lowering herself onto the couch quietly. Sheâd already caused enough of an uproar, she should consider herself lucky she hadnât been asked to leave after the little stunt sheâd pulled... But still, she couldnât help her foot from bouncing on the ground, eagerly glancing to the door waiting for her father to get back... After 18 years, suddenly the minutes she had to wait were going to seem the longest.
Though she didnât have to wait long, before Noriaki could even return with the drinks from the kitchen a loud BANG echoed through the small apartment, and she was on her feet within seconds, gangsters instinct sharpened in prison to jump at the sound of a brawl.
Though instead she found herself staring into the face of a stranger, though one that looked painfully familiar. It didnât take a genius to know who this was, but for the first time in her life, Jolyne found herself completely speechless, simply standing in the living room of her father, staring him in the eye and not a single word or sound would leave her throat, instead she felt like a fish out of water just gaping at him in her stunned silence.
Well at least it explained for her own flare for dramatic entrances.
âAre you... Jotaro Kujo?â She asked despite knowing the answer, finally finding her voice as she just took a step towards him, eyes taking in the towering man she apparently also got her height from.

"Iâve got a bad feeling about this."
âDad please, itâs fineâ Jolyne insisted, unable to help the grin from filling her lips.Â
âYou said yourself they are only viscous if provoked right? I just want a picture swimming with the sharks, how bad ass would that be? Going to send that to the girls back home and theyâll be so impressed. Now hurry up Iâm getting cold, can I get in and trust you to take the picture without having a weird paternal freak out the whole time or not? Worst case scenario it bites my legs off but then I just look even more bad-ass, itâs win win!â

slow days || jolyne & kido

The arcade was rather slow today, not that she minded. That meant she could quietly sit at the counter with her earbuds in while reading whatever she had on hand. Being that most of the reading material in the arcade were video game magazines, she usually flipped through one absentmindedly, unless she remembered to bring a book from home.
Today was one of those days, a light novel sheâd recently been enjoyingâone of the few things she would splurge on when a new one came out. Still, she kept her music low enough that she could enjoy it, but she could still hear the bell chime when a customer came in.Â
She was just turning the page when she heard the chime, swiftly pausing the music on her ipod and withdrawing her headphones as she looked up.Â
âAh, can I help you?â
Jolyne wasnât sure sheâd ever been to an arcade for the games. In her time in the gang they had often used a local arcade as a drop point but otherwise sheâd never really had the time to go to such a place, and Juvie didnât exactly give you day passes to go play video games.
Still, she was bored, and the flashing lights of the sign had caught her attention. Stepping in she glanced around, noting that it was pretty empty for the most part. Sliding her hands into the back pockets of her shorts she made her way to the counter where a girl was sitting alone with her ipod.
âHuh, maybe. Iâve never been to one of these places before. Do you all got that game where you dance on the big board thing? That seems like itâd be pretty fun...â She asked, giving the girl a grin.
Bad apple | Honey & Jolyne
bighaninozukaÂ
@stonexbutterfly
Honey couldnât believe his eyes. Was that girl a couple of metres away actually stealing something? In broad daylight? He couldnât tell for sure if the girl there was doing something illegal, she was too far away to see. But Honeyâs gut feeling told him that she was up to no good, and that she had to be stopped.
The boy never thought that he would have run into bad guys - or girls, in this case - in his life. In action movies there was usually a bad guy that the hero had to fight, always doing bad things. Like stealing, kidnapping, or worse. But it all was so obviously staged, that Honey never thought that such things actually existed. He thought that police only existed as a precaution, and for those that were truly bad guys, like in the movies.
Sure, in high school there were a few bad apples, but Honey had never heard of anyone actually doing any crimes. Everything in the newspapers seemed so far away, almost as if it was in a different world than his. Yet now that he lives in a community with not only people of his status, but also commoners, it was a lot different.
There was no police around, and nobody was attempting to stop the girl. Making a quick decision, Honey sprinted towards her. âStop whatever youâre doing, miss!â If she wasnât doing anything wrong, heâd just apologize.
Parole. Jolyne wasnât stupid, she knew better than to do something that would get her thrown back into jail. She was barely lucky to have gotten a parole sentence, but going back meant fifteen more years behind bars and sheâd already spent enough of her meager eighteen locked up. Still, moving through the small market, her eyes were locked to a butterfly necklace that she couldnât bring herself to walk away from. Running her fingers along the piece she sighed, not ignorant to  her own mind yelling at her to just take it, no one would notice it missing until she was long gone....
No. She had enough stains on her record, she didnât need meaningless petty theft as well... It wasnât worth itâs place alongside gang activity, drunken disorderly conduct, assault and battery, disposal of evidence, improper disposal of a corpse, accessory to manslaughter, impeding a criminal investigation....
Still it couldnât hurt just to look right? Picking up the necklace she ran it rhough her hands, not quite sure if she wanted to try it on or not... Though she didnât get the chance before a small boy sprinted to her side, ordering her to stop.
She supposed she should be used to it, her appearance didnât exactly scream âlaw abiding citizenâ but still, if there was one thing she learned in her interactions with authority is play ignorant. If you donât admit what youâre doing, they canât pretend they knew. Theyâd have to state exactly what they think youâre doing to get you./
âAnd just what is it that you think Iâm doing?â She asked, raising a brow as she just stared down at the blond.

WAITING FOR SUPERGIRL // ( @stonexbutterfly )
âLook, I think youâve all had a little too much to drink⊠Why donât we go back inside now?âÂ
Being an idol, Rise wasnât unfamiliar with pushy fans. The difference from now to when her bodyguards needed to hold back crying teens, was that these men were not fans. Not the kind that Rise enjoyed having. And that wasnât to say she was ungrateful for their support, however lewd and undesired it came, but the manner in which they conducted themselves and their reasons for buying into her label were disgraceful. She wasnât sure that these men were fans, she didnât know if they had bought a single print of her face or even listened to her songs. What she did know was that they found her hot, as they insisted that over and over â and that they wanted to âget to knowâ her better.Â
Needing a breather from all the excitement indoors Rise had excused herself and headed outside for some fresh air, but it seemed as though the boys followed her, too. And now they had her cornered against a wall, the smell of alcohol in the air, and Rise was really wishing she had called for security instead of thinking she could simply leave without problem.Â
âI really should be getting back, there are people waiting for me, soâŠâ Rise said, trying her best to remain calm, remain smiling, unwilling to let the men know how uncomfortable she was. Sheâd always found the greatest weapon against drunk men was to remain confident, but these individuals seemed reluctant to let her retreat back into the safety of the hotel. They blocked her path as she tried to leave, a chuckle falling across the group.Â
âSeriously?â She said, sounding a little more ticked off, before one of the males grabbed her wrist, pulling her close. Letting out a disgusted squeal, the idol tried to shove him off, although her stature was no match for his. With her false sense of confidence deteriorating, tears started to climb to her eyes, but Rise held them back as best as she could.Â
âPlease let me go!â She said, louder this time, hoping to attract someone â anyone elseâs attention, that might be in the alleyway outside the hotel.Â
If there was one thing Jolyne Cujoh didnât put up with, it was taking _shit_ from men. Jail had toughed her up, sure, you canât spend that long behind bars without learning to take care of yourself and watch your back, but her time running with the Hells Riders had done more than enough before that to thicken her skin and sharpen her tongue.
Walking home in the dark streets from the casino to the shit box she called her apartment, she wasnât concerned. Between her clear physical prowess and build, and the confidence in her walk she was generally left well enough alone.. Though that didnât seem to be the case for everyone that evening.
The sound of drunken men filled her ears as she walked past a rather grungy alley and she sighed, rolling her eyes as the smell of beer filled her senses. Men were pigs, it was a sentiment she would stand by regardless of the exceptions... Though as she was about to round the corner a sound caught her ears that was neither drunk nor masculine.
                       âPlease let me goâ
Oh HELL no. Turning sharply on her heels, Jolyne wasted no time in moving back to the alley, standing at the entrance with her arms crossed against her chest, her eyes dancing with anger as she took in the scene before her, temper rising with every second that passed until she could practically hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears.
âI am going to give you one chance to let her go, otherwise itâs going to get real messy in here, real fastâ She hissed.

Stepping back, the redhead made way for the young woman to walk inside before carefully closing the door behind her. Sparing a glance as she gazed around her new surroundings, Noriaki instantly dipped his hand into his pocket in order to fish out his phone, intent on getting Jotaro to come home immediately, no matter his work load for the day.
âBoyfriend is right,â he spoke, finding no need to be anything but brief as he flicked through the small handful of contacts he bothered to keep on his phone. âAnd yes. Your rant back there made the situation very clear.â
Despite how quickly his day off had spiraled into such a mess (and would probably continue to do so once Jotaro actually arrived), Noriaki seemed to remain rather calm; the only visible clue of his mild discontentment being the slight downwards tug at the corners of his lips as he fired off a quick message with very little context to the person in question.
â â Come home. Itâs an emergency.
Waiting until it had been successfully sent, Noriaki turned his attention back to the other as the phone was pocketed once more, a gentle sigh of exasperation escaping him.
At the very least, he could use the time it took for Jotaro to return in order to find out a bit more about their new surprise guest.
âCan I ask for your name? That would probably be a good starting point, donât you think?â
She could feel the tension in the air hanging around them thickly, though really she couldnât blame him. His behaviour only screamed that this man had absolutely no clue that his boyfriend was a father, though to be fair she was starting to believe her motherâs story that she never told him....Â
Feeling a little sheepish at her âentranceâ she sighed, averting her eyes from the redhead. âYeah Iâm sorry about that, I got a little worked up. Iâve been waiting eighteen years to meet him I just sort of, exploded before even waiting to see who was at the doorâ She explained, shrugging her shoulders lightly.Â
Watching him slide his phone away, she could only imagine what that text had said though she knew better than to ask, sheâd done enough to this poor man as it was.
âGood a place as anyâ She chuckled, wiping her hand off on the side of her pants before holding it out to him. âJolyne. Jolyne Cujoh. Itâs nice to meet you, I hope?âÂ
