@stop-lying-about-trans-men
many such cases.
1. Nobody is saying *all* trans men are being marked red, just the ones who are vocal about the oppression they face. Also ignoring that a large amount of the people marked red are nonbinary and intersex. Trans men are just an easy target for posters like this because âguhhh MEN think theyâre oppressed đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Łâ is easier to argue than acknowledging the non-men who are also targeted.
2. Given that the people I interact with are fellow intersectional/inclusive transfeminists, transmasculine and intersex theorists and activists, being marked red = not being openly transandrophobic, exorsexist and intersexist, and in support of people in those groups.
3. Again, see point 1 and 2 for who is being erased here. Also the erasure of âtransâ from the equation, where many âwomenâ have historically been trans men who did not or could not come out. Feminism directly benefits all groups of people including transmasculine people, who like transfeminine people have always been tied closely to feminism. Additionally, the myth that shinigami eyes was always meant to primarily serve the interests of binary trans women has been debunked multiple times, even if that is functionally how it is used. Though this is partially the fault of SEâs creator for being disingenuous and misleading with what the extension actually is, because as many will point out on all sides it is not actually âfor all trans peopleâ unless you are arguing that only binary trans women are trans (which, well. Gestures.)
4. This seems completely irrelevant to anything else in this post other than more false equivocation between cis and trans men. âOf course trans men are going to be marked red, men are misogynists so trans men are transmisogynists!â is a logical fallacy that fails for all the aforementioned points + that cis men arenât inherently misogynistic, so trans men are not either. Trans men do not benefit from misogyny or transmisogyny and are often its victims, even though some may perpetuate it (just like cis and trans women may.)
TL;DR, this âlogic testâ fails all basic intersectional analysis and is inconsistent with the lived reality of the people shinigami eyes is used to target. The focus on specifically trans men is the motte in this scenario conspicuously ignoring nonbinary and intersex victims. The idea that the only people whose viewpoints matter in the trans community is binary trans women bleeds out of this post with every word.
I'm aware people mainly follow me to see gay knights but like as a trans person I can't remain silent on this stuff like it's some useless discourse. please talk, make friends, hell have partners with trans people with identities different than yours. trans women were insanely important in my life and some of the biggest role models I got who have never Once belittled me or told me I would be poisoned or privileged or become their oppressor once I transitioned. that's horribly out of touch shit to say and I see it every day on here happily tagged #transfeminism. we need to start seeing eachother as fucking humans of the same oppressed category who have it REALLY BAD together and if you think saying this is transmisogynystic you need to get a fucking grip
Transgender men say they are often harassed, denied medically necessary care and âforced to be someoneâ they're not while incarcerated.
absolutely fucking sick to death of âtrans men are privileged because they donât get v-coded in prisonâ
insta mutual screenshotted and reposted a funny post i made on here and someone pointed out that i used the transandrophobia tags and she was like "oh i should probably delete this". again, instagram mutual. its crazy work how we as trans men are expected to like provide silly posts and support and solidarity and often our bodies but as soon as we're talking about our own rights people are weird about it. this is literally somebody who follows me on instagram. if you dont believe that trans men deserve rights or at the very least the freedom and language to discuss our own oppression you need to fucking leave us alone
recently checked the blog of a tumblr moot of mine and i see they've reblogged a post denying transandrophobia as "repackaged transmisogyny" and i just had to. sit there for a moment. this post was like. acting as if calling out transandrophobia makes you the enemy of all trans women and is inherenitly transphobic to do..??
i am. gobsmacked.
unfortunately a common belief spewed from transandrophobia deniers. daring to suggest that transandrophobia is real and can & has affected you is transmisogynist. hope your moot gets well soon
Razortouched news!
Hello everybody, I'm really happy to share that I have news about razortouched!
It contacted me via an ask sent from a separate blog, which it asked me not to publish in order to protect its identity.
It let me know that it is currently in the process of trying to recover its blog by disputing its termination, and that it is unfortunately taking a while.
If it does not succeed in reclaiming its account, it said it will remake a new blog with a similar URL.
In the meantime, it let me know that several of its more in-depth and well-researched posts were archived here by the Waybackmachine. I personally can't manage to reblog them or read them that well because the notes are un-interactable and also Tumblr comes in with that annoying "sign up to keep reading this blog!" popup, but if you're fast enough at scrolling it can maybe jog the memory and help some of you go searching for specific keywords on certain blogs to find the posts. That or maybe there's another solution that I haven't thought of that someone more technologically skilled than me can use.
I should add for transparency's sake that I was not provided proof that the account messaging me was razortouched. I judged it to be pretty inconsequential, as far as I'm concerned. If the person contacting me is razortouched, I hope it will succeed in reclaiming its account, and failing that, I hope it remakes. At that point, it can decide whether to prove its identity, or how. If that was not the "real" razortouched, then I hope wherever it is out there it and its partners are doing well, and that it can recover its account or return to blogging if it so wishes, or else live peacefully.
Once again, if anyone finds old razortouched posts, please link them in my inbox, I've been trying to archive them.

A unspoken claim inherent in the way people use "tme" and talk about why transandrophobia can't exist is the idea that a bad thing can't happen to someone because they are trans masc.
Get followed into bathrooms? Called slurs in public? Catcalled? Sexually harassed? Banned from doctors offices? Banned from sports? Stalked?
This is simply misdirected transmisogyny. If they knew you were AFAB they'd leave you alone.
Get raped? Forced pregnancy? Abortion bans? Medical mistreatment? Childhood trauma? Be ignored and dismissed when speaking?
This is all just because of default misogyny that affects cis women worse.
Be told you have to be strong and you exist to protect others? No one believes you speaking out about sexual assault because men are supposed to want that? Myths about testosterone being a poison that makes people violent? Jokes about hate all men?
This is just individualized missandry. There's nothing systemic causing people to attack men and masculinity, shut up you sound like a mra. Don't you know men are privileged.
There is no overlap. There is no possibility of your being a trans man changing how people abuse you. No considering hatred of trans people hatred of femininity and hatred of masculinity could combine to hurt trans men specifically.
A Lie Can Travel Halfway Around the World While the Truth Is Putting On Its Shoes
On transmasculinity as pure hypothesis
I know this screenshot is from a post from a couple of months ago but I want to put it in its own post because itâs so demonstrative of the kind of backwards reasoning these people use when it comes to trans issues.
When I say that both transmasculinity itself and transmasculine oppression are epistemologically neutered, this is exactly what I mean. Inequivocable proof of transmascs being unambiguously targeted for their transmasculinity (in this case, trans men of color being essentially tortured in ICE camps) is still inadmissible, because all this news proves is that a transfeminine person would have it worse. There is a rhetorical sleight of hand at play that substitutes the real, named transmascs in the story - specific and individual human people who relayed their own experiences in details firsthand - with entirely hypothetical transfeminine people not in the story at all. The transfem that the tagger imagined in their head for the sole purpose of dismissing anti-transmasculine violence becomes the real person, while the real and named transmascs melt into a mist and become purely hypothetical.
The nature of inhabiting transmasculinity in a world of history-long transmasculine epistemicide is that you are never taken as yourself, in your full living human body, with its discrete characteristics (whatever they may be), its history, its traumas, its unique positionality: you are never read as yourself because your âselfâ is inherently illegible. Instead youâre like a text in an unknown language that others try to interpret comparing you to know quantities (even aberrant ones) and always finding you lacking in some way - less beautiful, less strong, less virtuous, less meaningful, less interesting, less valuable - because you are being graded on a system that is not just built without you, but rather built around your absence.
To make an example: Often I speak of the ways that growing up as a member of the female social sexgender class has shaped me in the person I am, and specifically the behaviors I have been trained and coerced into in order to escape additional punitive violence (on top of the regular violence being seen as a girl/woman gets you just to keep you subdued into the underclass). I have been taught to walk a certain way, stand and sit a certain way, to make way for people that register as men, to shrink myself around them, to fawn, to smile, to modulate my voice to sound submissive and placating, to defer to them, to apologize for speaking in the first place, to wrap my speech in conditionals and justifications, to make a show of doubting myself even when Iâm sure of what Iâm saying. This behavior is impossible to completely unlearn while living in a body perceived by others as female, because every step out of line is answered by a retaliation equal in proportion. You people would know about this if any of you listened to cis women. transitioning does not remove this behavior, certainly not instantaneously, and on top of that, having this heavily feminine-coded behavior and speech patterns while appearing even âimperfectlyâ or âsomewhatâ male is also grounds for punishment, more or less severe. You would think the people who talk all day of transmisogyny would be able to see this.
Now if I speak of this, I sometimes receive this response: but what about when you pass? When you look and sound and move exactly as a normative cis man does, wonât you have the space and opportunity to unlearn this behavior completely? will you still be claiming that your upbringing has shaped you so, âclingingâ to your AGAB? And that certainly sounds like a good argument, if you donât notice the sleight of hand. If you ignore the fact that it is being told to me, a specific individual trans man with a specific history and body. I am 30 years old. I have been medically transitioning from a while. I do not look like a cis man or a cis woman or a transfeminine person - I look transmasculine. As of now, this much-discussed âmale passing privilegeâ has not reached me even remotely.
Now, because there is no cultural notion of what transmasculinity is or looks like, I am usually read as a medically aberrant and gender non conforming cis woman. At times Iâm also read as a gender non conforming, queer, very young cis man, while some other times Iâm read as transfeminine. In a few extreme cases where I do my best to âgirlmodeâ out of necessity I can even read as a quasi-normative cis woman, albeit an extremely quirky one. But I am never, ever read as a normative cis man. That has genuinely never happened to me. It is very possible that, due to a mix of my individual medical circumstances, my desires for my own body, and my sexuality and aesthetics, I may never happen. I may never move through the world as a normative (and straight) cis man on a regular basis. I cannot know that for sure because I have a hopefully long life ahead of me, but I certainly wouldnât discount it as a possibility.
And still, to the person posing the argument of âwhat about when you passâ, my lived reality for my entire 30 years of life, which will continue to be my lived reality for the short and medium term future, is superseded by the specter of the entirely hypothetical, very possibly forever-inexistent, normative cis-passing straight-passing stealth masculine man they have summoned in their own mind to dismiss the real, present, firsthand testimony of my own lived experience. Their âheadcanonâ of what I could one day turn into becomes more real than the living, breathing person I am.
If youâre wondering how can we get to the current year knowing so little of transmascs and having so little transmasc presence in history, art and culture, this is how.
Iâm glad that this is resonating, Iâd like to add two small points.
I was going to link the article with transmascsâ and other masculine AFAB peopleâs experiences in ICE camps, but I somehow forgot before hitting post. This post is lacking without that context, and the readerâs ability to go and read the experiences of the transmasculine people I refer to in it. This post has excerpts for accessibility and a link to the full article itself.
I am glad that people are adding their own experiences with their relationship to passing and what I in the post call âreadabilityâ. Adding more transmasculine voices to the pool of available knowledge always helps to fill out the void a little. I will not censor let alone criticize people who use this post to do so. However, I would like to clarify that this post is about the ontological and epistemological situation of transmasculinity itself, specifically how transmasculinity has always been so consistently and reliably erased from the human record because it has the particular quality of not being considered admissible as its own evidence. When I talk about some of the effects of quote-unquote âfemale socializationâ on my psyche and behavior, and the way my reporting this experience is automatically and as a matter of course dismissed by bringing up how my eventual potential âpassingâ may negate these effects, I am doing so to provide an example about a larger phenomenon. The phenomenon, and not the example, is whatâs important. For instance, someone in the notes (correctly) points out that even for trans men who perfectly pass, passing doesnât negate their need for specific healthcare that cis men donât need. That is unquestionably true. But the textbook response to this, according to the phenomenon I observe, would be to say: âwell what about trans men who get phalloplasties and hysterectomies? Arenât they trans men too? That means that you canât claim that âneeding access to gynecology/abortion/etcâ is a transmasculine experience!â Or if you say that transmasculine people experience medical misogyny as a result of needing gynecological care, they will respond: âwhat about cis women who are infertile? Or who are born without uteri? You canât claim that needing gynecological care or abortions or experiencing periods means that transmascs will be treated misogynistically based on some functions of their bodies, because thereâs even cis women who donât experience that!â And so on forever. The point is that anything transmasculine people report about our own experiences can be dismissed by bringing up a hypothetical other person (a different transmasc, a cis woman, a trans woman, a NB person who isnât transmasculine, the transmasc in the conversationâs hypothetical future self, his hypothetical cis woman version, his hypothetical cis man version, etc. etc. etc.) because our real material existence is seen as a hypothesis that is never fulfilled in reality, so flimsy and removed from the material texture of the world that the mere concept of any other person feels more solid than our living bodies.
Iâd appreciate if everyone reblogged this version.
As someone that worked in a nightclub birthday boys do just as much drugging as the cis men, id avoid you
>cis men
>"birthday boys"
somehow i dont think youre a reliable source on this anon
i wonder why somebody who is so transphobic to trans men that they wont even call us men in the same sentence that theyll call cis men men might benefit from pushing the narrative that most trans men are sexual predators to a trans man who has been a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and talks about that on his account
anon is just picking out random dudes that are kinda weird around women and being like "hes trans because he has dyed floppy hair and is short" and is doing no other investigation on that
"but trans women are the main targets of terfs!"
hi. sincerely, you need to listen.
they want to GROOM trans men into DETRANSITIONING. the reason they don't "attack" trans men (to be clear, they absolutely do in a legal and political sense, they're just less blatant about it) is because they want to coax trans men into their ideology and convince them to detransition. It would be harder for them to do that if they were openly aggressive towards trans men.
yes, they will openly insult and abuse trans women, but what they are trying to do to trans men is insidious and underhanded. these things are both bad, one is just more blatant and one is less obvious.
trans men, especially young or neurodivergent trans men, are being intentionally targeted by terfs who will pretend to politely debate them, or even try to befriend them. their goal is to pressure them into detransition.
your takeaway from that shouldn't be "well terfs are nice to trans men so they must be in league with each other" or "terfs don't attack trans men so trans men obviously have it easier"
your takeaway should be "terfs are fucking creeps" because they are. if you think they're sympathetic to any type of trans person, you have fallen for their shitty underhanded tactics. they want us all either dead or detransitioned.
hey Rittz is one of fite-club's alts. Fite club is a notorious transphobic troll who was acephobic back in the day
they're not just not arguing in good faith, but they're a documented asshole, steer clear
yes i know, thats why i answered the way i did. thank you though, i didnt say that directly and some people who follow me may be unaware. block this loser @/fite-club ; @/rittz / ; @/rittzart
y'all took "believe victims, believe women" and said "no." and wonder why people call you anti-feminist?
lol, lmao even. everyone laugh at this idiotic loser. where have i ever not believed victims? youre just pulling cliches from your ass.
i dont wonder that because nobody except you has called me that to my face, because i keep anons off and you and your ilk are cowards. and because im not anti-feminist, in fact, im anti-fake-feminists, like you! ive been an *actual* feminist my entire life because i dont say obviously anti-feminist things like "trans men dont face a unique oppression" and "trans men have afab passing privilege." the call is coming from inside your house... but youre clearly plugging your ears!
and so i see you read that post that was about the real trans male victims of ICE facilities and decided to ignore that in favor of the hypothetical trans woman? just like the post critiqued? youre a dumbfuck hypocritical coward, i hope you know that. you dont believe victims if theyre trans men. and you call yourself a "feminist." genuinely go fuck yourself.

presented without comment
The Tattoo Postâ˘ď¸ is so revealing of the current state of trans discourse online. Really itâs quite a fascinating case study. Right from the jump we have the weirdly paternalistic framing that trans men should run tattoo ideas by their friends, insinuating that trans men innately have poor judgment. By singling out trans men as a demographic rather than just advising people get feedback on their tattoo ideas or stating that they think the tattoo in question is bad, OP implies that it is trans men specifically and no other demographic that deserve to be held to this level of scrutiny. And even if you stripped the weird gender wars bullshit away from the whole thing, there remains the fact that putting a stranger on blast over an innocuous tattoo is deeply weird and uhhh bullying? Just straight up middle school bully behavior? What the hell is wrong with you?
Anyway here are my favorite notes
Exhibit A: The very feminist take that people socially/medically/legally classed as female arenât oppressed on the basis of being socially/medically/legally classed as female.
Exhibit B: Seeing a non-sexual image of a trans man and immediately thinking about him bottoming. Because sexually objectifying random people for no reason is, again, very feminist. đ
Exhibiâ okay I donât have anything to say, Iâm just enamored by this one. What does it even mean. What if a cis guy was a trans guy. What if the world was made of pudding. What if words meant nothing.
