I wrote a list of things I want to experience/feel in 2016. It’s 2017 and things still haven’t changed:
Spend more time drinking coffee in bed on weekend mornings.
Eat breakfast in bed more often on weekend mornings.
Sleep in past 9:00 am at least three times a month.
Eat dinner in bed more often on a Friday night.
Learn to cook an egg perfectly so the yolk perfectly oozes on my toast.
Sit on the curb outside my house and take more photos of the moon.
The warmth of someone’s hand in mine under a full moon.
Walk in the rain. Letting my mascara and eyeliner run down my cheeks, letting my clothes feel soggy and chilled against my skin.
Stay up all night with someone talking about each other; pointing out what makes us beautiful, our flaws and kissing over our idiosyncrasies.
Wear more silk to feel luxurious and soft.
Aimlessly roam around a museum with someone, while holding hands, and I kiss their cheek in front of a Konstantin Makovsky painting.
Romance in the form of open and honest dialogue, good morning texts, long and nervous rambling voicemails, phone calls to say ‘hello’, late dinners, handwritten letters, and “I can’t wait to see you"s.
Pride in having a big heart.
People knowing for certain that if I say I love you, I love you hundred times more than that.
Caring more and more and more. Knowing that I will always care more.
Reveling in silence with someone that I like.
Love and love freely because it’s beautiful and courageous.
Grainy black and white photos of a lover.
Love everyone completely and wholly and purely.
Loving someone in the way they need to be loved.
Kind with someone’s heart, someone kind with mine.
Believe that I am beautiful because I am emotional and genuine.
