this wasn’t NORMAL for her. opening up like this, letting anyone in, talking about her family. the vulnerability was something she normally avoided at all costs. but there was something about this group that managed to pull it all out of her before she could ever stop it. and GOD, she fucking hated it. only because she was too goddamn stubborn and this was all entirely against her will. “ i . . . i actually don’t mind it. ” a quick shrug of her shoulders and she’s glancing away to avoid making eye contact. fuck, she missed her family. “ he was so dumb, you know ? in the way only siblings can be. but he was amazing and i . . . i wish he was here. he would absolutely hate it if he heard me saying anything NICE about him. but he’d . . . i think he’d like to see me actually doing well. letting people in. not just existing. ”
