Finn is literally the one truly original and innovative character in the sequel trilogy. Dashing pilot? Been done in the OT and the prequels. Force sensitive orphan living on a desert planet? Been done to the death in both previous trilogies. Force sensitive stormtrooper who breaks through his brainwashing, escapes his oppressors then helps free the galaxy from them?
