“Neither my queen nor myself are the most improper women in court.” Lola countered. “Well, I don’t have to tell you that, you’ve slept with most of them.” She added. It didn’t bother her. Lola had enough trust and faith in their marriage and her husband alike to believe he would never have an affair, least of all one she wouldn’t know about. Whatever happened in his life before her wasn’t her place to judge. “Do you want more children?” She asked, an eyebrow raising slightly as she looked up to him. So much of Lola’s focus had been given to her son that she forgot about all else, but it would be a lie to say that she hadn’t thought about it. “I know that, but I also know that the job and the power it gives you makes you happy. Nearly as much as I do. There’s no reason to deny it. So long as you’re happy and honest about it, I don’t have any reason to complain.”
“Ah, and yet they couldn’t turn my head now if they tried,” Stephane reminded her as he leaned in pressing a delicate kiss to her lips as he pulled back smiling down at her. “It would be a lie if I said I didn’t think about having more children running around here. If all we had is John I would be perfectly happy, but having others would give you more to distract yourself with when he’s with Francis and Mary. Besides it would be a great disservice to the world if we didn’t have a daughter running around our house that took after you,” if it wasn’t what Lola wanted though he would find a way to be okay with that. He was always going to put her happiness as his priority. “Nothing makes me happier than you do though is something I want to make sure you are not blind to that fact.”
