Okay, so.

The reason this blog has been functionally dead for years is that I have obsessed-with-organizational-systems autism, meaning I refuse to reblog anything that I haven't tagged. However, I am actually AuDHD combo, and thus also have both 'Doom Scrolling' and 'Inability To Do Even Small Tasks On A Timely Basis' symptoms, so I have always used my likes as a sort of 'will tag for reblogs later' feature. Now combine that with me having been on tumblr for nearly eleven years and, uh...

You may be starting to see the problem.

Anyway the good news is I'm probably not even into most of that stuff anymore, but I need to get it down to a reasonable number, so I'm about to start making liberal use of the queue feature with a LIMITED number of posts... but still, apologies to anyone who still follows my dead blog as I perform necromancy.

If I had a nickel for every time BillyBabe starred in a drama where they were starcrossed lovers forbidden by their culture/society, who were torn apart by a scorned lover in a fatal tragedy only for them (...or just Babe...) to be reincarnated with no memory of their past life, then find each other again and be immediately drawn in and slowly start having flashback dreams of their Love and Trauma while the scorned lover is ALSO back (and/or reincarnated) and trying to destroy their love again, and ALSO Billy is jealous and possessive/protective and Babe is man-catnip in a bad wig with multiple people in awe of his (sometimes feminine) beauty and trying to get with him and ALSO ALSO, someone is drawing lifelike pencil/charcoal portraits of their repressed memories of their past life lover...

Shane does an interview after they're outed where he says, kind of off-handedly, that the one thing that still bothers him about having to keep their relationship secret for so long is that there are no pictures of them together as a couple from those years.

Someone clips it and it goes viral.

Over the next few days, Shane and Ilya's mentions start to get flooded with pictures. Mostly it's screenshots from various games they played against each other, meticulously picked through by dedicated fans to find every moment Shane and Ilya looked at each other on the ice.

Some screenshots get shared by hundreds of different people because they stand out so obviously: Shane and Ilya meeting each other's eyes during a face off; Ilya looking at Shane while his back is turned, naked longing visible on his face; Shane chasing after Ilya with a small but delighted grin.

There are also pictures from press events, award ceremonies, behind the scenes at All Stars. Seemingly any time Shane and Ilya got captured in the same frame gets dug up and shared.

Finally, a couple of weeks later, the director of Shane and Ilya's CCM commercial posts outtakes from their shoot. It's captioned 'Took a bit of digging but I knew I still had these somewhere! I had to make my contribution to the #HollanovArchives even though this must have been a while before they got together. These kids had crazy chemistry, right from the start!'

Shane hasn't responded to the onslaught yet, too overwhelmed by the (slightly terrifying) dedication of their fans as well as the fact that he now has dozens of pictures clearly displaying his and Ilya's love for each other during a time in their lives when it was so desperately hidden.

He does respond now, sharing the director's post with a sincere (and publicist-approved) caption thanking him and the fans.

Ilya also shares the post, tacking on 'yes if a while means a few hours 👅' like he didn't cry when Shane showed him the videos.

Something odd is going on at their house Ilya realizes, after about two months of living together.

One Monday he'd noticed the sink in one of the guest bedrooms was dripping a little. He'd texted his plumber, who'd been able to come by the next day, only to find nothing was dripping. Ilya has figured maybe it hadn't been dripping, the faucet maybe wasn't fully off or something?

Another week he'd taken out the trash and noticed the light above the cans was out. He'd texted the electrician guy he had on call. He wouldn't usually be able to come out for a couple days. But the next day when Ilya was bringing a box out to recycle he'd found the light back on. He'd canceled the electrician, wondering if he'd just hit the lights switch funny?

And then the final odd thing happens. He's putting some stuff away in one of the guest room closets and he tugs the door too hard the wrong way and it pops off it's tracks and hits the floor. He curses as he catches it, and props it back up, leaning it into place. He texts a picture of it to his handyman. The photo is partially to explain the problem, but mostly to assure himself it really happened if the door manages to also magically heal itself.

The next day he gets a question about the door from the handyman so he goes to check it out, and walks in on Shane, with a little tool box on the floor next to him, lifting the door back into place with ease.

Ilya, shocked, "You're the one fixing everything!"

Shane, did not know this was a mystery, "Yes, of course. What did you think it was, magic?"

Shane, after hearing the story, "Wait, you call an electrician every time a light bulb goes out?!"
