YA Tropes

All right, my little darlings, I have this idea for a book that I am not quite sure I can pull off. But we shall see.

What are your best/worst YA tropes?

We all know the big ones; Chosen one, Unknown identity (princess? queen? duchess of bitch-town?) Love Triangles, Plain BUT (ugh) pretty when her “glasses are taken off”, Sudden discovery of powers… and the smaller ones; mirrors, holding of breaths, blooming etc.

So, what are your most hated/loved? I want the Good, the Bad- but not the Ugly anti-diversity ones. We all know them and just don’t need ‘em.
