A miracle story: I was like #45 on a waitlist for a class and I really don’t know how I did it but I was just chatting with the department counselor and mentioned I was on the waitlist and she literally enrolled me on the spot like what the heck must’ve been the academic advisor-to-academic advisor kinship or orientation leader charm or something damn THINGS LIKE THAT NEVER HAPPEN TO ME EVER

Now I don’t have 8am’s (almost) every day for the first time in my UCLA career!!! wow new year new me

And now me and my middle school best friend are in the same lab section and our class meets five times a week so we get to hang out every day isn’t that wholesome :’)

Thought this was going to be the dreariest of quarters (as winter usually is) but this year so far is honestly close to the happiest I’ve ever been! this is so nice

Create a new space! Whenever I absolutely just can’t get motivated, I try and clean out my study space, and then hopefully once it’s fresh and new, I can actually feel motivated to study! 

Try and find a study playlist! Spotify has a few, and I’m sure you can look/search on Spotify/Apple/Youtube, etc and find one! 

Make a list, like a to-do list! I physically write them and make boxes to physically check them! 

Momentum is a wonderful chrome extension to download, it creates a check list for you and you can have a top priority of the day! It is like a checklist for your laptop, like an e-checklist, I guess! 

If you cannot study very much, take some breaks and reward yourself for even the small things! 

Use self-discipline, reward yourself if you finish studying, but don’t try and do something “fun” until you get your tasks for the days done!
