Swift has $1.6 billion. Musk has almost a TRILLION dollars. those are not equivalent. and i'm tired of Taylor being called "capitalist queen" when she's nowhere as rich or doing anywhere near as much damage as Musk or Bezos or any of the other male celebrities.

billionaire women have too much money and probably earned some of it through indirect exploitation (in case of Taylor, most of her money is earned through music, and the only exploitation would be if her merch is made unethically). billionaire men actively work to hurt the world, are abusers, are rapists, use their money to get away with abuse and rape, and (in case of Musk) are Nazis.

I think a lot of the issues stem from the fact that billionaires like Bezos and Buffet tend to stay out of the spotlight. Their fortunes are built on their products and their assets accruing value.

Beyonce and Taylor Swift make their money by being in the spotlight. If they fade out of relevancy, they don't make as much money. Bezos hasn't worked an hour in YEARS, his assets are managed by paid employees while he keeps collecting a pay cheque. Beyonce and Taylor Swift are constantly on your, on runways, writing songs, preforming, making albums, etc. it's easier to hate someone you "know" vs someone you struggle to put a face to the name.

Bezos is visible but his actual public interactions are very VERY manicured. You don't catch Jeff Bezos at celebrity red carpet events, Jeff Bezos isn't making heart signs at concerts to his fans. He (and other billionaires) have crafted a very superficial public image that makes it hard to pin down what exactly he's like. Bezos isn't publicly dating and then breaking up with celebrities for gossip channels to talk about. Bezos doesn't have a business model that relies on people recognizing his face, his voice, or his look. Amazon does that, and it's subsidiaries. Jeff Bezos isn't making grand claims about climate change and political activism while riding in a private jet. Amazon has commercials that make that claim, Bezos is separate.

I think Taylor Swift and Beyonce can be more closely compared to Elon Musk, in terms of how their public imagine relates to their wealth. Musk has been in tons of controversies that has effected his businesses. Elon IS Tesla, Tesla is Elon, and he's made sure that everyone knows that. When people are mad at Elon, Tesla suffers. Taylor Swift, Beyonce, any other billionaire who relies on public opinion and goodwill for their fortunes, have to stay in the spotlight, their actions are picked apart more because they're directly tied to the product they sell. Beyonce is making loud speeches on voting Blue, citing bodily autonomy and racism, while having her merch made by sweatshop workers.

Most acts of "transphobia" are just a failure to convince TIMs that you see them as women.

Earlier in the TRA movement, a lot of women tried to be more inclusive by labelling things as "for women and people identify as women". It was a genuine attempt to be inclusive, but it wasn't enough for TIMs, because it still made it clear to them that we know the difference between them and women.

It reminds me of that unhinged TIM post ranting about how he hated this womam because she complimented him, but he spiralled in his own head about how she doesn't really see him as a woman and how he hates her, and all women because of it.

All of the things TIMs want are for the purpose of enabling their delusions. It doesn't matter how inclusive women try to be, it won't be enough for them unless it convinces them that other people believe their delusions.
