Do you have any idea of how much I'm in love with this art?

I mean, you can barely define where Dazai ends and Chūya starts and vice versa.

The bullets falling from Chūya's hand. He probably stopped them to prevent Dazai from being attacked, and now he's about to kick some enemies' ass, to protect both of them.

Dazai holding Chūya's coat to facilitate his moves and to let him know that he doesn't have to worry 'cause he's by his side, supporting him no matter what.

Their gazes, always pointed towards the same direction.

The colours in the background, their colours, black and red.

I love this art so much, Harukawa sensei's a real genius.

Just because I've seen a few people complaining about Dazai "knowing exactly what was gonna happen from the start" I just want to point something out

Dazai didn't know what was going to happen, he had 0 control over the situation, all he did was trust in Ranpo and the ADA.

The point of it all, or at least how I've interpreted it, is portraying just how much he's grown to admire and love the agency. His faith in his "allies" gave him enough confidence to let them handle it, funnily enough Dazai had barely any hand in the planning of it at all!

He put together what each person was scheming by watching the events play out, and don't forget he had Ango communicating with him all the while.

I have no issue with anybody upset over this, I just thought I'd put my take out there. I think the subtlety of Dazai's growth sometimes causes it to go unnoticed, his redemption plays out in small moments like this, hidden beneath much bigger actions.

I love how in anime everyone always treats the sound of a helicopter like it's a soft background noise while in reality that scene would look like this:

Dazai: But you see… You can't kill m-- Fyodor: What? Dazai: I said, you can't kill… Fyodor: What?? Dazai: YOU-- Fyodor: WHAT

I’m sorry but Chuuya not being a vampire this whole entire time is so fucking funny and actually makes a lot of sense??

It’s obvious Dazai had been working with Mori throughout the entire plot, even before Mori proposed that exchange ‘deal’ to Fukuzawa.

Dazai had Akutagawa tailing Atsushi, he would have needed Mori’s permission to use his underlings. So the idea Chuuya had been working with Dazai from the start isn’t a hard sell.

Also remember how confused everyone was about who could have possibly bested Chuuya in a fight in order to turn him into a vampire?? That’s solved.

And Dazai just kicks him because he has heard this speech 20 times since they have come back home
