the way edgar talks seems really familliar, but i can't put my finger on it...

The chocolate was very old... and I had a hammer with me at the time.
“Old?! But that ain’t no excuse! Ya wasted a good chocolate bar- at least giv’it to the spiders!”
Once I smacked chocolate with a hammer. It wasn't very effective.
“Now why would’ja go’n smack chocolate with a hammer?! That stuff’s valuable!”

|Tensing up in surprise at hearing the melodic, almost optimistic voice behind him, the spider turned around and quickly made a rather coy smile as he tried to think up some words to reply to her greeting.
|He was terrible at trying to talk to her. How could anyone talk to the Angel in a casual manner, especially when she addressed them directly? The fact some people could completely and utterly baffled him beyond his usual... confusion. Ignorance. It could be addressed both ways.
Regardless, he didn’t know what to do. He wasn’t sure what to say, what should-?!
“H-hey! Yeah, I uh- I needed some help findin uh... where the soup storage was..? I forgot how this place was set up af’ta I lost my map ‘n they built those new rooms.”
|That was a blatant lie. He just needed to try and make some time to go over his thoughts better. But with his hands clasped together, anything was better than just awkwardly standing there.
“I think that’s the last’a those gifts! Now time’ta just go’n... sleep for an entire month.”
Don't ask how, but Bendy managed to get a hold of four new gloves and four matching boots for Striker. Why ? Because its Christmas and winter is rough on spiders. The note attached says ' Merry Christmas ! From Bendy '
|Within moments, the Striker had the new pieces of clothing slipped on and he sighed once. Yeah, this was much better than the ones he had before, especially with the boots. Even if he couldn’t see the snow, cols still always managed to get in through the vents that he liked to occasionally use as an escape route, and these would definitely help his his body with the cold metal they had.
|But what made him happiest was the fact that Bendy of all people got this for him. Bendy. The lil guy he always loved to pester.
“Well gosh... I... This is real, real sweet.”

|Almost apprehensively, Edgar picked up the bag and looked through it, eyes going wide at its contents. Chocolates, and... wait. This is REAL jewelry. Was he actually allowed to have this?
|He was a little suspicious at the flattery and looked around anxiously. If anyone caught him with something like this, he wasn’t sure if he’d be allowed to keep it, especially with the beautiful design. So, cheeks flushed happily all the while, he pocketed the objects in his sweater and hurried off.
'Me? The best? Well yea, I earned this stuff,’ he thought to himself.
