2024: went back and forth about joining for over half a month for no good reason 2025: had a very scary/traumatic experience literally two days before the start of July, which would have been bad enough on its own if it hadn't also sent my entire living situation up in the air for like a week 2026: sleep-deprived to the point of physical pain; too fatigued to draw except for when I no longer have time to stay up doing it 2027: completely normal and uneventful June/July certainly

#*sighs and puts the ambitious plans on hold for one more year again*

Weird bug crawling around my laptop and I think it's trying to eat dust off the screen. It stopped for a while to lean down at a particle and its antennae started wiggling like jump ropes

Got my dad a little pitcher plant for Fathers' Day since I saw some for sale and hadn't thought to get a gift before then, and today he came up to me to talk excitedly about how well it's been doing now that it's out of the protective container it was in at the store, and that he's been doing research to figure out how to care for it when winter hits, and did you know we have native species right here in the state, so I do believe I've knocked this one out of the park

#he's been taking it outside for part of the day so it can get as much sunlight as possible and catch bugs. it's like another pet to him

Thing I've realized post-finale is that none of the female characters in TADC (with the exception of Gangle that one time, which based on context and other examples is probably just that specific dress) have noticeable breasts, even when we see everyone in swimsuits. Which is kind of neat

Bringing this back because I'm currently trying to look into sleep studies, and, you guessed it... I'm not awake during almost all the hours they're available to call :/

#bro if I could wake up before 2pm and be okay I wouldn't be here #(editor's note: I am not okay when waking up at 2pm the sleep I get is very shallow)#(this is because at some point I started going to bed less than an hour before sunrise)#:/#<- it's got a little hat ^.^

I increased the dosage of my ADHD meds again today and while visiting my grandmother ended up starting a conversation and just not shutting up after that for six hours, two conversation partners, roughly four changes of location, and more topics than I can count save to 1: briefly let someone else speak or 2: put food into my mouth, so I think the meds are doing something, but I'm not sure if that something is "working"

#calling it now this is going to basically render me mute all day tomorrow #I am not verbose. I've had days where I do something as innocuous as “participating in a class discussion”#and the next day mistake the wear on my throat for the onset of a serious illness #incidentally the original topic of the conversation was in fact “these meds are having an effect and I can't tell if it's the desired one”

Excellent news I've started on ADHD meds now so assuming this goes well I'll finally be 2/3 of the way towards un–Rock Lee–ing my mental and physical health

#surely getting a healthy sleep schedule will be just as quick (2.5 years) and easy

I don't remember if I shared this directly when I was still working on Lecizao but I'm planning to start a new conlang (linked to that floating island spec ecosystem project I never got off the ground!) and while referencing the layout of the lexicon spreadsheets I've used in the past found this absolute gem, possibly my favourite word in the language

In the midst of the Unstable Universe trenches (read: halfway through the first of Spoke's four four-hour videos in a row) and it is so funny to me that. That whole deal with putting two people in a Saw trap designed to manufacture a friendship and then force one to sacrifice the other as an act of petty revenge? The one that ended with Spoke himself getting trapped in a chunkban for [???] length of time?

Is mentioned once offhand after the fact with no leadup or elaboration

Why is my desk made for tall people I'm basically average height and I have to kneel on my desk chair to use a notebook or keyboard

#to dispel any misconceptions. I figured out how to raise my chair height months ago.#it did not help.
