Act the way you want to feel
There is some truth when people say “fake it ‘till you make it”. Let me give you an example. if you are a socially awkward person and you don’t really know how to interact with people that much, then fake it. They won’t really notice that you are faking it. You might be uncomfortable and dying on the inside, but they won’t really notice that. sure, some people may notice it, but who cares! the more you fake it, the more it becomes comfortable, and the more it becomes natural.
If faking confidence can give you confidence, then why not act like you are happy. you may never know, it might actually rewire your brain to believing that you are actually happy. Being happy is one of those feelings that everyone wants to have every day, but it’s an emotion, and emotions come and go. So, you might have to trick yourself in the belief that you are happy. Now, it may seem fake and unnatural at first, but the more you stick to it, the more it becomes natural and comfortable.
Acting the way I want to feel made me realize that I can actually control my emotions in some sense. I don’t have to wait for that emotion to arrive, I’m being proactive and actually doing something to achieve what I want. Try it! go out there and do something that you weren’t comfortable doing. It’s not going to be easy at first, but what is? right? so you might as well do it and not regret it in your death bed.
Feeling Left Behind
To be honest, there are some days where I do feel left behind. sometimes I see my friends and other people that I know graduate, find careers, living the life they want. I realized that I shouldn’t really compare my life to them, every success that they have right now they deserved it. They had a lot of failures mistakes in their life, but they always stood back up and fight. their success right now is their highlights. I don’t want to compare my lowlight to their highlights. I will have my own highlight.
I know it’s not only me who feels this way from time to time. What I learned is that everyone will have their chance of success if they work hard enough. Focus on your journey, and not someone else’s. Stop comparing your life to other people period. It’s not healthy for you and it’s not healthy for your goals in life. appreciate what you have right now and have fun, because, at some point in your life, you will reach your destination. Go at your own pace.
There’s always a silver lining in a problematic situation.

How social media affects us these days
We always see people living in luxury when we go to our social media and just browse through the feed. We don’t see them struggling, failing, or experiencing any hardships in life. It seems that they have their life together and that life to us is unfair. Why do they get to have all of that and we don’t? People nowadays have that kind of mindset. We know deep down that’s not all their life is, but we still believe what we see.
There are some people out there who want to live that luxurious lifestyle so badly that they would spend almost all of their money just to be the same person on their screen and post it on their social media. I won’t judge people who do that, if that’s what makes them happy, then I’ll gladly let them do it and go on with my life. But there are some people out there who just think that what they see on their screen is the norm and that they are out of place. NO, YOU ARE NOT. every human on this earth experienced or will experience struggle, failures, and hardships. No one is 100% happy all the time and that’s fine. We’re only human, and positive and negative emotions come and go. We just have to accept them. So, don’t feel bad that you can only buy your clothes at a thrift store, that you work a minimum wage job, or not having the life you want. Focus on your own journey, and someday you will reach your destination.
Life is like a war
In our quest to stay alive, we encounter battles that are meant to be won. Of course, we can’t win them all. We will lose a lot of times, but we will get used to it, we will be comfortable with it, and it’ll be normal for us to get back up every time we lose. It will not faze us anymore. And for every battle that we win, we show gratitude and appreciate what we did and what it took to win that battle.
That’s what life is. We will experience failures in our life that will get into our heads during the first few times, but after failing, again and again, we realize that we are learning something, and it shows how strong we are to try again. Nobody is a winner overnight. It takes years of dedication, practice, perseverance, sacrifices, and failures to be a winner. Even then you will still fail.
We have to get comfortable with failing. We have to understand that failing is part of being human. It shows that we are not perfect, and who wants to be? it’s boring if you ask me. there’s no challenge anymore in life…. because you’re perfect.
We have to go out there and face as many battles as we can, for that is what will make us stronger.
Everything will be okay
No matter how many hardships you go through in life, believe that it will always be okay. challenges and obstacles don’t last forever. All the hardships in your life will end, that’s why you have to believe that everything will be okay.
There are moments and a situation where life is just against you and you don’t even know why. Maybe it’s trying to teach you a lesson, or it’s trying to make you understand or realize something that you didn’t before. Almost everything has its own reasons and explanations. You just have to believe that at every journey that you will go through, it’s going to be okay.
Trying to break a bad habit
It’s inevitable for a person to have a bad habit, but we as people need to observe if that bad habit is interfering with our lives and if it is a priority to break it.
My bad habit is sleeping late at night and looking at my phone every night before I go to sleep. I believe those two go together because my phone is the primary factor of why I sleep late at night. How I break this bad habit is by draining my phone where it’s almost dead and charging it away from me. That way I won’t be able to use it and my alarm will go off in the morning and I have to force myself to stand up to turn it off. I have a book on my bedside to read if I can’t sleep. Reading a book is better than looking at my phone before I go to sleep. It calms my mind and doesn’t distract me from all the apps I have on my phone.
If you have a bad habit that you want to break, try experimenting on how to break it, and stick to it as much as possible. it will help you in the long run and it will have a lot of benefits in your lifestyle.
