「☪」—» Soft sneakers pounded the floor of the hallway as Toboe ran, practically bouncing on his heels as he giddily scrambled around corners and hazardously navigated his way through the building, sometimes on two legs and sometimes on four. And where was he going, exactly? That much should be painfully obvious. The scent of food was thick in his nostrils, stomach growling loudly as he raced towards the scent. In hindsight, he probably had other things he needed to worry about before he thought of food, but honestly, he was a growing wolf. He needed all the nutrients he could get.
And so he skidded right into the kitchen door, paws scrabbling for a grip as his claws clicked against the tile, flickering into human form for better traction on the smooth surface, a large grin on the boy’s face and he bolted through the gleaming steel door, the scent of food almost tantalizingly strong. He made a beeline for the fridge he could see right in front of him, thin fingers wrapping around the handle excitedly before he realized there was another scent, layered underneath the delectable food-stuffs. Toboe jerked his head around, eyes big and round with surprise when they connected with the red irises of a stranger. Her scent informed him she was just a normal girl, and it took him only a few seconds for a smile to split his face again.
” I’m Toboe! What’s your name? “
The halls of the facility were so foreign, everything about this place was foreign. She hadn't a single cent to her name, nor did she see any familiar faces. It was worrisome, to be by herself. Though she'd rather be alone than have Kuzuryuu here suffering with her. As long as he was safe, she would survive. She'd escape, eventually. For now, it'd be wise to get to know the place where she'll be staying for an extended period of time. As she walks through the halls, she sees no one, but hears chattering in each room she passes by. People were getting to know each other, which was a good thing. There should be no one around as she makes her way. But as she moves away from the rooms, it's quiet and painfully so. And while the quiet calm doesn't bother her, she sort of wishes someone were here right now. Anyone, just someone who could break it.
Before she knows it, she's stumbled upon the kitchen. It's plain and simple, everything that everyone would ever need was there, Knives, spoons, forks, all lined up and put away neatly and a few chairs and a table sat idly by, waiting for someone to sit. And as she steps inside of the room, standing in the center, she is soon joined by a young boy who skidded in soon after. Eyes follow him curiously as he moves to the fridge, only to take some of it's contents without paying her any mind. Not that it bothered her, she didn't expect to be noticed. And just as she's turning to walk out of the room, he acknowledges her. His voice is sweet, upbeat, truly that of a young child. She can't help but feel at ease now, and soon a smile of her own is given in return. ❝ Pekoyama Peko. ❞ she introduces herself, tone firm as she says so.
❝ It's a pleasure to meet you, Toboe-san. I'm sorry if I was in your way. I could leave, if you wish. ❞ and the offer is sincere, she'd not want to disturb someone while they feast.
