Stop me if you've heard this before:
A restorative justice web activist who has shared no accounts of working in food kitchens, partnering with queer aid organizations or simply reading the words of Black activists and writers with several run ins with state law and military when acting on their anticarceral principles but speaks as an authority on restorative justice as if she has.
She's been in no kink spaces, has held no activist titles. A title does not equate doxxing oneself. Achievements are anonymous enough when spoken on discreetly.
No kink bar tales. None? Sounds like she's pretty young. I am not talking about sexual encounters. I am speaking on evidence of community outreach.
Overcoming great communication pitfalls? No.
Language barrier concerns with someone entirely outside the English speaking worldview? No. Understanding that the less western and more rural someone is, the harder it will be for them to change their minds toward her politics? No. Achievements in Europe? Significance of trans kinship in France, in England? No. Trans women are especially vulnerable, there.
I believe the obsession with Yankees is a Freudian slip of how many spoken to. It's easier to keep an unknowledgable audience down when they still feel self hate. You can liberate women on your words alone. But only so much, they mustn't break rank. They must be kept in line.
How would such a woman speak on brown activists who have built aid organizations, who have written theory that disagrees with hers? Has she even read other perspectives?
Does she treat them with decency or their opinions as fair game? Hmmm. Surely her friends haven't tarnished a net of unity and mutual aid on this platform right in front of you over this?
We all are that net, communities, sharing aid and resources and articles together. Is it harder for all of us lately?
If you've read this far, simply consider volunteering for something more than your own comfort. Act on the needs of others in your community greater than your own. That is communism.
Simply do not trust white peace activists with nothing unique to say about MLK. Or Marsha P. Or Ida B Wells. Or Rosa Parks. Or Assatta Shakur. Huey P Newton. Fred Hampton?
It might be that they do not know what they speak of. And it might even be that large figures have others write their posts for them.
White power must simply wane in every community for any of our brothers, sisters, and queer folk to be remotely free.
