Santana Lopez has long been a star on the rise in the world of law. A professional lawyer, she passed the bar quite soon after college. She was never one to look for sappy relationships, but as fate would have it one day she met Rachel Berry at the gym, and struck up a conversation. That led to a close friendship and soon thereafter multiple hookups. Eventually Santana asked Rachel to leave her husband and become her girlfriend only.

Discovering Rachel was pregnant turned out to be a mixed blessing. She’s looking forward to raising the baby together, but not so thrilled to know they’ll never completely get Finn out of their lives now. Even though it’s a little soon, she’s also debating whether to ask Rachel to marry her. The problem is she doesn’t want to overwhelm Rachel, especially when her life has been through so much upheaval already.

She doesn’t know Rachel’s friends all that well, but she’s making an effort to be more friendly with them for Rachel’s sake including Tina and Quinn.

Rachel Berry met Finn Hudson when they were in college. It was supposed to be the typical storybook romance, they got married soon after graduation and all was well… for a while. Until Rachel discovered that she was in fact, a lesbian. Frequent hangouts with Santana Lopez, a girl she met at the gym led to a physical relationship, and it was at that point that her marriage to Finn was obviously no longer working. Once close with all of Finn’s friends, Rachel is saddened by the fact that she’s no longer as close with Sam, Puck or Brittany. She does remain in contact with Tina however, who sympathizes with her ex-sister-in-law and is hiding the fact from Finn.

After learning she was pregnant shortly after their divorce, Rachel informed Finn of the news and gave him the choice of just how involved he wanted to be. Adamant that she and Santana, now her girlfriend, would be the primary parents, she was still willing let Finn be the father of his own child.

Rachel works at a local public school as a music teacher. Having previously trained as a singer with an eye on Broadway performing, it was in college when her focus shifted to teaching. She loves her job, being able to make music and pass the gift along to the new generation.

A native of New York, Brittany Pierce’s life has been as colorful as they come; to say she’s a free-spirit is a gross understatement.  It was that sense of free spirit that led her to become Tina Cohen-Chang’s roommate a couple of years ago; it was their clash of styles that told her it was time to find her own place. Still, she remains great friends with Tina and also the boys across the hall, Sam and Puck. Brittany is also friends with Tina’s brother Finn(though she can find his serious nature annoying sometimes),  his ex-wife Rachel and her new girlfriend Santana. Most recently she’s met Tina’s new roommate, Quinn, and likes her already.

Brittany’s main job is working as a masseuse at a massage parlour downtown, but her true creative passion lies in music. In her spare time she performs at Central Perk, playing guitar and singing original songs with her own perfect flair including one dedicated to her cat, Lord Tubbington.

While she was still living with Tina, Brittany had an ongoing arrangement with her across-the-hall neighbor Puck. At times they’d hook up with each other, but never let on to the rest of the group that it was happening. It was just casual sex, but ever since she moved out Britt does get the odd twinge of regret now that it’s no longer happening.

A native New Yorker, Noah Puckerman was born in the Bronx and has had the city on lock since he was six years old. Naturally a charmer, perhaps because of growing up in a family full of nothing but sisters and his mother, Puck’s a hit with the ladies and can best be described as a serial one night stander. Rarely does he look for anything more than physical, and even more rarely are his advances turned down. Despite this single-mindedness when it comes to women, Puck is actually incredibly loyal to his friends and a genuinely good guy.

It’s his dream to be an actor, and after a few years now of work Puck’s resume consists of local plays and musicals, a few regional commercials and print ads. But now he’s recently auditioned for a soap opera, and Puck’s hopeful this could be his big break.

Puck first met Sam Evans after an answering an ad looking for a roommate. It didn’t take long before the two became great friends, and through Sam, Puck and Finn became close friends as well. There’s also the case of the hotties across the hall, Finn’s sister Tina and her newest roommate Quinn.  Puck also has a soft spot for Tina’s former roommate Brittany… possibly because they’d hooked up on occasion when she used to live across the hall.
