Sixteen - Chapter 19: Losing Control

Chapter Summary: Marley and Kitty’s hangout takes unexpected turns, stirring tension both outside and at home.

A few days later, Marley and Kitty were in Marley’s front yard on a blanket, chilling. Millie goes to her car and gets into it.

“Did you girls want anything from the store?” Millie asked after rolling down the window.

“No,” Kitty said. “I like everything you make, Mil.” Millie drove off. “Hey, Mar, can you put some of this on my back?” Kitty handed Marley the sunscreen. Marley takes it and puts some on her hands, but before putting it on Kitty’s back, she notices a scar. Then she put the sunscreen on. A car pulls up in the driveway next door. “Who is that?”

“Pool boy,” Marley says. “His name is Puck.” Marley finished putting the sunscreen on. Kitty pulled down her shirt, got up, grabbed Marley’s hand, and headed towards Puck’s house.

“Wow, Puck,” Kitty started. “You’re so lucky your parents left you this place.” Puck shrugged.

“I guess,” He replied as he was playing some foosball. Kitty put her glass that she had in her hand, grabbed Marley, and tried dancing with her. Puck left the foosball table and went to them.

“I think you guys should leave,” He said. Kitty grabbed him towards them.

“Let’s make a Puck sandwich,” as she dances against him.

“How about you’re jail bait?”

“Come on, Puck. You know I won’t tell anyone, right, Marley?” Kitty asked, turning to her.

“No, you wouldn’t,” Marley whispered. Kitty leans toward Puck and kisses him.

“You kiss real good, don’t he, Marls?”

“No, thank you…”

“Marley!” Marley rolled her eyes and kissed Puck. Kitty then joined and kissed Puck on his neck. Marley did the other side of his neck. He was enjoying it—he shouldn’t. After a while, he stopped them.

“Okay, you guys seriously need to leave!” He got up and pulled them off the couch, and kicked them out.

They ran towards the house and passed Millie as she unloaded the groceries.

“Can you girls help me with these?” She asks.

“I’m not your fucking slave, mom!” Marley yelled as they went into the house.
