“I… I just thought when Fury asked you… well… I never thought you’d actually say yes, (y/n)!” Steve said, a smile spreading on his face as walked toward you. He had just found out the news of your choice to join the Avengers.

You smirked. “Well I knew it would be dangerous but I thought it would be for the best. ‘The team needs someone with my skill set’.” you said, mocking Fury’s voice. Steve laughed.

“Someone’s a little full of themselves, aren’t they?” he replied, wrapping his strong arms around you. You giggled and gazed up into his soft blue eyes and threw your arms around his neck. He kissed you on the cheek and whispered, “I just don’t want anything to happen to you, (y/n). I love you.”
