Once upon a time, Along time ago A truck broke down, It belonged to a boy Who recieved it with joy, Given by a grampa Who loved wooden things, But time and use, Hard play everyday Removed the wheels And the truck couldn't go, On to a shelf up high A box became it's new home, The years went by and by, But the boy moved far away, A mother waited long, The truck waited too, The boy became the man, Life brought the man a boy, And grama too, She wondered what to do, The truck came off the shelf, But it could not roll, And it could not play, With great grampa gone, And Santa far away A plan must be made, There was a guy, Maybe just the guy, In a hat like Frosty Who had a white beard to boot, He worked in shop full of magic, Full of curiosities and things, Grama began to believe, The truck could roll again So off to a room of machines and dreams, The little truck went, Again the truck waited, But this time in sight As big metal things came alive in the night, Some whirled, some shook Some made lots of dust, In hands of the man in the hat, When the dust settled, or was thoroughly sucked, Beside the little truck there then sat, A new set of wheels just like that, With a couple of taps, A wee bit of glue, The truck soon found out He could roll, Just as good as When he was new, Off to new adventurers he went, To a land far away, In flying machine in the sky, To celebrate again, With is old friend, And the little new boy, The coming of the Christmas Holiday. Merry Christmas!
