Trying to study as hard and as efficient as I can! Not failing completely, but currently not feeling satisfied! Next Wednesday 4h maths Abitur. Help! My teachers told us to eat lots of chocolate if we feel like failing, in order to not put our mental health at risk! Currently sticking to healthy berries as study snack!

No, dark energy isn’t an illusion
“The Universe is indeed imperfect, but we know exactly how (and by how much) it’s imperfect. It was an interesting idea, but the effects of these imperfections is well-understood, and can’t explain the observed acceleration. Dark energy is here to stay.
If you’re going to resurrect an old idea, you’d better have a new reason why the old objections that ruled it out no longer apply. Until that day comes, you can rest assured that dark energy is no illusion!”
Every so often, an idea comes up in physics claiming that perhaps dark energy isn’t real. The ideas focus on one of two lines of thought: either they discount the observational evidence, or they attempt to show that all the calculations are fundamentally flawed. The latter case often points to our Universe, and claim that our best models are based on a perfectly uniform Universe, while the actual Universe is very inhomogeneous. Yet these claims often forget one very, very important point: we know exactly how inhomogeneous the Universe is today, and those effects have been quantified. BY ME.
Dark energy is no illusion, and here’s the science to prove it!
[5.03.2017] 26/100 days of productivity This is probably cheating, but sometimes it’s hard to take pictures every single day when I’m doing the same thing… but I was productive, kind of. My motivation recently has been very low but I’m doing my best, my first essay is done and submitted, I’m working on the second one, but the thought of coming exams and deadlines doesn’t really motivate me. Also, I’m loving my mildliners!
Here are some general tips I’ve summarized from my experience this year in dealing with a bunch of demanding classes!
Plan. Everything.
This tip is especially for my fellow procrastinators as I’ve never been able to focus completely on a huge task. Do yourself a favor and divide a daunting project into smaller portions and predict how long it will take you to complete the task (it doesn’t matter if its inaccurate). Now since you know how long each sub-task will take, you can use With this method, you’ll find yourself utilizing time much more efficiently as you’ll finish a huge task bit by bit each day.

Notetaking and Studying
To be rather blunt, the majority of studyblr is focused around pretty notes that have been revised many times and most pictures of notes with a lot of notes on here have a lot of notes primarily because they are aesthetically pleasing. I’m all for pretty notes but remember that the universal goal of studyblrs is to succeed and if you have a lot of work to do, you don’t have time to color-code and rewrite everything to look neat. Even if you don’t take too long to make your notes look nice remember that every second counts!

Remember it isn’t always about studying! Taking a break will help you do better as well so don’t be afraid to do something fun in fear of not getting your work done!

really good tips
general overview of studying it
my tips
do past papers/practice questions - this is the most important one tbh. do them, then look at answers and correct any mistakes in a different colour pen, and make sure you understand why you made the mistake
listen in class - i promise, this will make your life SO much easier. even if you find it difficult, dont zone out, try to follow and write as good as notes as possible in class
look up things you dont get - you might not get your teacher’s teaching style, or you might just not get it, but look things up! use the resources available to you: the internet, youtube, your textbooks, revision guides etc
make sure you understand everything before the test - you dont want to get to the week before the test and realise you havent understood anything, look up and learn stuff you dont get as you go along, to save yourself from massive study sessions at the end
talk to your friends and people in your class - i do this so much. if you dont get something, have a friend explain it to you, normally other students explain things in a much easier and more student friendly way than the teachers
dont stress too much - maths is difficult and you probably wont get everything first time round. its alright to ask for help, and if you need something explained in a different way, ask your teacher/a different teacher! they do want to help you learn, promise
