Just finished my biochem final AH I can’t believe it’s over!! :’) That was hands down the longest and most comprehensive final I’ve ever taken just because there is so much info and I really needed to pee for 1.5 hours of it (I drank two cups of coffee right before it lol) but I needed every minute in order to finish in time so I just held it rip but I feel decent about it as a whole! Really proud of myself :-)
My biggest accomplishment of this quarter: I usually get sick once every quarter but I DIDN’T THIS QUARTER this is honestly the biggest win good job to my immune system

360 | And time yet for a hundred indecisions, and for a hundred revisions, before the taking of a toast and tea.
This is the last entry of my 2018 journal.

I’m taking advantage of the small amount of sun and working in the conservatory today. This playlist by @stillstudies and leftover Easter eggs are getting me through research for my world politics essay.
Hello world, I’m back!
I thought a little update was in need given my recent absence on this blog.
I'm now most of the way through my first year of uni!
I’m really proud of myself for making it this far and keeping on top of everything. I'm now down to my final three assignments, and then I can properly focus on exams.
Next week I start my internship
I’ve managed to get a place on the spring internship for the civil service in the UK and I'm really excited about the whole experience. I’ve also begun applying for places over the summer, which I’m really excited about.
I’m really excited for the next couple of weeks, and although I can feel the exam stress building I’m more prepared than I have been in a long time. I’m going to try and increase the pace of posting on this blog and my Instagram (studyboog) from now on.
Make the most out of today, and think happy thoughts
x
Hi, Danni! I'm currently on a gap year before starting uni. I'd like to learn more about politics (starting from the basics) but every time I try, I just get overwhelmed by all info I don't know and just don't know where to start from. By any chance do you have any advice? Thanks in advance! x
Hey!
I was in exactly the same position last year, I knew I was interested in politics, but I had no idea where to start learning more. Personally, I started by just reading the news and listening to podcasts (I’m a massive podcast fan) and then when I encountered things I didn’t understand I did some research. The best place to start is the very basics, political parties, elections that sort of thing here is a really good document the basics of UK politics in a simple way (I’m sure there are similar ones for the US etc.). I found that having real-life events to apply the things to was the most useful thing.
Just find stuff that interests you and learn as much as you can about it.
Hope this helps and good luck x

I really like the simplicity of this weeks spread, but I’m mourning the loss of all my favourite stationary because I left my pencil case at my parents, like an idiot.
03.02.18 - 34/100 Days of Productivity
Tidy desk, tidy mind. I’m still not entirely sure how I always seem to have an essay I should be writing.
29.01.18- Day 29/100 Days of Productivity
Spent most of yesterday decorating props and in rehearsals, for the play that I’m directing. Managed to cram some of my reading in during tea breaks, but I was on campus until midnight last night. The paint water is 99% my stress tears.
26.01.18 26/100 Days of Productivity
Finishing up the week with some essay planning and a nice cup of tea. It has just hit me that I probably should be preparing for my internship interview next week... oops...
25.01.18- 25/100 days of productivity
Annotating a primary source on liberalism in colonial India for my next assignment and finishing off last weeks bullet journal spread.
